Mr. Gu's wife is a little naughty
Chapter 2 The Frightened Pretty Lady
"Good man!"
The deep voice seemed to float in the night outside the car, sometimes far away, sometimes near, revealing an elusive nothingness.
Hong Momo's fingers gently caressed the car door handle. She instinctively glanced down to check the cold object in her hand—it nestled quietly in her palm, its red indicator light prominently lit. The shopkeeper had specifically told her when she bought it that the red light indicated the stun gun was unlocked. And just in case, she carefully placed the pepper spray in the top pocket of her coat, ensuring it was readily available in a critical moment if all other means failed.
Suddenly, a ray of light cut through the darkness outside the car window, followed by a small, round red dot, which flashed in an instant and disappeared into thin air.
Hong Momo felt her heartbeat instantly rise to her throat, but she tried to steady her breathing and adjust her emotions, and decisively opened the car door in the opposite direction of the low voice.
A sharp cold wind blew by, and Hong Momo subconsciously curled up her body. The stun gun in her hand seemed to feel her nervousness and fear, and trembled slightly.
She looked around cautiously. The large truck she had taken in the afternoon was parked safely on the side of the road, with the headlights still on. Looking through the windshield, the cab seemed empty, revealing a strange silence.
At this moment, Hong Momo had no time to care about the existence of the truck. Her attention was drawn to a dark shadow in the direction of the front of the truck. It was a vague and deep back, like a phantom in the night.
Hong Momo's heart instantly rose to her throat. She gripped the stun gun tightly and took a few steps back, keeping a safe distance from the figure. Despite her extreme anxiety, she mustered her courage and asked in a trembling voice.
"who are you?"
In the darkness, the figure stood motionless, only the arm holding the cigarette slightly raised, and the cigarette butt flickered a hazy red glow. Only then did Hong Momo realize that the red light she had just glimpsed in the car was the red light from his cigarette.
"I told you a long time ago, I'm a good person." The deep voice echoed in the night.
Then, he slowly turned around. Despite the darkness, he was still wearing sunglasses, making him particularly eye-catching. Hong Momo was nervous, wondering if this man was trying to be cool or if he was hiding some unknown secret. The large sunglasses in particular, at this late hour, brought a sense of inexplicable fear and unease to her.
"Don't forget, I just saved your life." There was an unquestionable firmness in his tone.
Hong Momo stared at him in fear, taking another step back, her legs trembling slightly. She stared at him in confusion and nervousness, wondering: Did he really save me? What had just happened to me?
She glanced doubtfully at the truck, then quickly turned her gaze back to the man in front of her wearing sunglasses and holding a cigarette.
"You said you saved my life... What exactly did I just go through?" Hong Momo's voice trembled slightly, revealing her inner uneasiness and confusion.
Lin Tao casually played with the cigarette in his hand, his eyes pointed at the truck. "Remember that truck?" he said in a deep and powerful voice.
Hong Momo knew what he was referring to, but she didn't look back. She just stared at Lin Tao's face. Although she was extremely frightened, she still tried her best to maintain her composure, as if only this could allow her to find a trace of security in the face of this sudden change.
"It's better to be cautious when you're out. The driver wanted to do something to you, but unfortunately, he ran into me."
Lin Tao dropped the cigarette in his hand to the ground again, sniffed hard, and tightened his coat around himself before speaking again, "I was just passing by. I didn't want to intervene, but you're so pretty, so I decided to intervene."
There was always an evil smile on Lin Tao's lips, but in Hong Momo's opinion, it was not handsome at all, but rather a bit scary.
"Do I believe what you said?"
Hong Momo's nose seemed to be running due to the cold wind, but she didn't dare to wipe it off because she was afraid that she couldn't hold the stun gun tightly with one hand.
"Believe it or not, it's quite cold today. I'm leaving now. Do you want to stay and wait for the driver to come back, or follow me to the campground ahead?"
Lin Tao had already opened the car door and half of his body was already inside.
Hong Momo looked around. Although the night in Tibet was not very dark, she was still alone here at this time. Not to mention the scary prairie wolves, even if the driver came back, she would probably be in no better situation than encountering a prairie wolf.
But it was not a good idea to just follow this strange man with glasses. While he was hesitating, Lin Tao had already gotten into the car.
The engine roared, and it seemed as if the car was about to leave at any moment. Hong Momo felt her mind was in a mess at the moment, with one person calling her to stay and the other calling her to get in the car. She simply didn't know what to do.
"If you stay here, you'll either be fed to wolves or meet perverts. If you follow me, you'll at least have a 50% chance of survival, if I'm a bad guy."
Lin Tao's voice came from inside the car. Hong Momo decided to give it a try and follow this man with the attitude of dying. The worst that could happen was that she would die here. How much worse could it be?
Her hand gently touched the door handle, and with the other hand she pressed the button of the stun gun. The stun gun emitted a blue beam of light, and it seemed that the gun was in good condition. Hong Momo felt relieved. At least now she had the ability to protect herself. If she followed him, she would not suffer any harm while he did not suffer.
After making up her mind, Hong Momo tremblingly sat in the back seat of the jeep. Lin Tao looked at the girl behind him through the rearview mirror, and an evil smile with a hint of rogueness appeared at the corner of his mouth. Hong Momo felt that she didn't like this smile, so she didn't look at it. She just curled up and sat there vigilantly with the stun gun in her arms, hiding in a place where he couldn't see her.
The car started and slowly drove off the silent road, the wheels rolling over the ground, making a dull sound.
bang~
Shortly after they left, a loud bang erupted from behind them, and a ball of fire erupted. Hong Momo looked behind her in horror, seeing a blazing fire emanating from the direction where the truck had been parked. The flames danced in the night like a devil, instantly engulfing the truck.
"What beautiful fireworks!"
The man holding the steering wheel in front spoke lightly, and his face with sunglasses became even more mysterious and terrifying.
