Hong Kong is in full swing

Chapter 42 I can do it myself

Yu Wan sat up straight, "Mr. Huo."

"Did Baogui deliver the soup?"

"It's delivered. I've already finished my drink." There was a chuckle from the other end. "Very obedient?"

Yu Wan held the phone, her face flushed.

Huo Chuyan asked her, "Are you free at eight o'clock tomorrow?"

"Yes, I'll take medicine and rest tomorrow."

"Well, I'll pick you up at 8 o'clock tomorrow."

He didn't say what he was going to do or where he was going, and Yu Wan didn't ask any more questions. She just nodded obediently, as loyal as if she was willing to go to the ends of the earth.

"Okay, Mr. Huo."

Huo Chuyan seemed very satisfied with her reaction. He chuckled and whispered in a pleasant voice, "What a good child." Yu Wan's face turned red immediately.

Huo Chuyan said good night. Yu Wan was silent for a moment, then said in a hoarse voice, "Good night, Mr. Huo."

He smiled again and slowly hung up the phone.

Yu Wan buried her face in the pillow, her whole body flushed.

She wanted to blame the bowl of soup. If it weren't for the soup, her body temperature wouldn't have risen and her heart rate wouldn't have accelerated.

But when she thought that the soup was sent by Huo Chuyan, how could she bear to blame him.

I could only hug the pillow and say with a fake smile: "This is so annoying."

Since they had agreed to meet at eight o'clock, Yu Wan got up at five o'clock.

I was busy all morning with washing, skin care, makeup, and choosing clothes. At 7:50, Huo Chuyan called and said he was downstairs.

Yu Wan looked down from the window and saw a black Cayenne parked quietly in the community.

"Okay, I'll come right away."

After hanging up the phone, Yu Wan tidied herself up again, and then went downstairs with an impeccable and exquisite makeup from head to toe.

Bao Gui opened the car door for Yu Wan, and Yu Wan sat in the back seat. "Mr. Huo, I'm sorry to have kept you waiting."

Huo Chuyan put down the computer in his hand and slowly turned his head. When he saw Yu Wan beside him, his eyes softened involuntarily.

Beautiful and charming, with a face like jade.

It is just the right amount of gorgeousness, a beauty that is hard to describe.

The cushion beside him sank slightly. Huo Chuyan put away his computer, turned around and asked her, "Have you eaten?"

"I've eaten." Yu Wan replied casually.

"You're lying."

Yu Wan blushed, not understanding how he had noticed.

Huo Chuyan took out a food box from the side, which contained a few pieces of fragrant osmanthus cakes, and said, "Try it."

Yu Wan tasted it obediently and said, "It's delicious."

Huo Chuyan gave her the whole box.

The car started slowly, circled out of the community, left the residential area, and then crossed the Victoria Harbour with no intention of stopping.

Yu Wan looked at him in surprise, "Mr. Huo, are we going to Pengcheng?"

"Yes, let's go to the Chinese medicine store."

"Is Mr. Huo sick?"

Huo Chuyan took out a fine handkerchief from his pocket and handed it to her, saying, "You need to go and see it."

Yu Wan was stunned.

Not long after, Baogui parked the car in front of an old pharmacy that looked quite old.

Huo Chuyan stood up and said, "Let's go."

Yu Wan followed him obediently.

The pharmacy was not small, but Yu Wan took a quick glance and saw that from the entrance to the medicine cabinets, the beams on the walls were covered with banners.

Next to the medicine cabinet, an old man with blond hair and a hunchback was curled up in a recliner with his eyes closed.

Huo Chuyan stepped forward and called softly, "Master Wen."

The old man seemed to wake up from a dream. He opened his eyes and saw Huo Chuyan. He said slowly, "Are you here?"

As he spoke, he subconsciously tried to use his thin hands to support himself to stand up, and Huo Chuyan quickly reached out to support him.

After the old man sat down, he turned his head and slowly moved his gaze to Yu Wan behind Huo Chuyan, "Is this the little girl?"

Huo Chuyan nodded, "Yes, thank you for your help."

"Mr. Wen," Yu Wan heard Huo Chuyan call him that.

The old man waved to Yu Wan and said, "Child, come here."

Yu Wan walked forward obediently and placed her hand on the pulse pillow. The old man's skinny fingers took her pulse and asked her to stick out her tongue. He then asked a few more questions, which Yu Wan answered one by one.

The old man nodded, indicating that he understood, and asked Yu Wan to withdraw her hand. Then he put on his glasses tremblingly, dragged the paper and pen on the table, and wrote a prescription for Huo Chuyan.

"Boil three bowls of water together into one bowl. Drink it twice a day for three months." He instructed slowly.

"Thank you, Master Wen." Huo Chuyan called out to Yu Wan again, "Yu Wan, come here."

He added, "Say goodbye to Mr. Wen."

Yu Wan stepped forward and bowed slightly to the old man, "Thank you, Mr. Wen. Please take care of yourself."

The old man asked Huo Chuyan to help him back to the rocking chair, waved his hand slowly, and fell asleep again unknowingly.

"Let's go." Huo Chuyan said.

"Oh."

After leaving the pharmacy and returning to the car, Yu Wan asked Huo Chuyan, "That old man Wen seems to have great medical skills."

"Yes. Thirty years ago, he was a famous doctor in both Hong Kong and Guangdong." Huo Chuyan paused and said, "My mother introduced me here."

Yu Wan was filled with awe and curiosity. "No wonder the room is filled with banners."

Huo Chuyan smiled and handed the prescription in his hand to Baogui, "Arrange someone to boil the medicine."

Yu Wan quickly said, "I can fry it myself."

Bao Gui smiled and said, "It's okay, Miss Yu. I'm actually free every day anyway, so I'm just looking for something to do. Give me a chance."

After hearing this, Yu Wan felt that Baogui's words and actions were both pleasant and appropriate, so she smiled and thanked him.

Huo Chuyan looked at his watch and saw that a meeting that was supposed to be postponed was about to begin. He turned to Yu Wan and said, "Let Baogui take you home first. I'll bring the medicine to you in the evening."

Yu Wan then realized that Huo Chuyan had come to see her specially today. After a moment of silence, she said gratefully, "Mr. Huo, thank you so much. I don't know how to thank you enough."

Huo Chuyan looked down at her, his long eyelashes drooping gently, hiding the pity in his eyes, "I really can't bear to see you suffer."

What can’t you stand?

Yu Wan was a little confused.

But Huo Chuyan did not continue.

"You go back first."

"Ok."

After drinking Chinese medicine for several days in a row, Yu Wan felt that even her hair was emitting a bitter medicinal smell.

Wei Size came to the gallery to inspect the work. He smelled the medicine on her and wrinkled his nose. "Oh, have you become a little medicine jar?"

Yu Wan smiled, feeling bitter even between her teeth. "It's not that exaggerated. I just have menstrual pain and feel uncomfortable. I'm taking Chinese medicine to recuperate."

Wei Size became interested. "Oh? Where did you get the medicine? Is it effective?"

"It works, it really does." Although the effect wasn't immediate, Yu Wan felt her physical condition slowly improving. "It's not in the hospital, but in the Xinglin Pavilion in Pengcheng. Ask for the prescription that Mr. Wen prescribed."
