I am the Holy Poisoner, the Empress advised me to calm down
Chapter 604 Go back and confirm
A passerby saw this scene, stopped in shock, and said to his friend next to him: "Wow, what's going on? Is this a movie?"
"I don't know, but it looks so exciting! These people look like agents. Are they carrying out some secret mission?" the friend responded.
Xiaoli stood in a safe place, looking at the surprised expressions of the passersby, and a sense of pride and honor welled up in her heart. She knew that these people did not understand the truth, but their admiration and worship for the heroes were clearly revealed.
"Little girl, are you from here? Do you know what happened here?" A reporter found Xiaoli in the crowd and asked curiously.
"They... they are the Eagle's Nest Team, they are heroes who are here to protect us!" Xiaoli answered excitedly.
Hearing this, passersby looked at him with surprise. "Oh my God, are there really heroes? This is unbelievable!" a woman exclaimed.
"Little girl, do you know these heroes?" the reporter continued to ask.
"I know a little bit. One of them is my brother." Xiaoli raised her head slightly, her eyes full of pride. "They have been working hard to protect everyone. They are not afraid even in the face of great danger."
The reporter nodded thoughtfully and raised his camera to Xiaoli to record the scene.
Meanwhile, inside the factory, the team finally succeeded in opening the safe, which was filled with various paper documents and USB flash drives, which were obviously the enemy's key data.
"Found it!" the technician shouted excitedly.
"Okay, now let's take these materials away and evacuate immediately." Lu Yining said decisively.
The team members quickly sorted out the materials and prepared to leave. At this time, a strange sound suddenly came from a corner of the factory, as if something was moving.
"What's that sound?" Li Wei asked vigilantly.
"It may be a fish that has slipped through the net, everyone be careful." Lu Yining whispered.
The team dispersed again and carefully searched the area. Sure enough, they found a small laboratory in a dark corner with an injured researcher lying inside.
"Don't hurt me. I can tell you a lot of useful information." The researcher said weakly.
"Tell me, if your words can help us, we will consider letting you go." Lu Yining said coldly.
"Okay, I'll tell you everything..." The researcher began to explain in detail.
Just as everyone was listening to his story attentively, Xiaoli outside the factory suddenly had a bad premonition, as if something was about to happen.
"Come out quickly, I feel like there will be new dangers!" she muttered to herself.
"Miss Xiaoli, why are you so nervous?" an old man asked with concern.
"No, nothing, I just hope they are all safe." Xiaoli smiled, but the worry in her eyes could not be concealed.
At this moment, there was a sudden loud explosion in the factory and flames shot up into the sky.
"Oh no! Go and see what's going on!" the old man shouted.
The passers-by around were so scared that they screamed and ran away in all directions.
"Brother..." Xiaoli covered her mouth tightly, her eyes full of fear.
The team members quickly ran out of the factory, each of their faces covered with dust and blood. Although they were injured, their eyes were full of determination.
"Retreat quickly! This place is going to collapse!" Lu Yining shouted loudly.
Li Wei dragged her injured arm and struggled to keep up with the group. Ajie supported her and whispered comfortingly, "It's okay, we can definitely get back."
"But the man in the factory..." Zhang Hao looked at the smoking ruins with some worry.
"There is no time left. We must prioritize the safety of ourselves and our teammates." Lu Yining said decisively.
Just as they were about to board the bus to evacuate, Xiaoli rushed up to them with tears in her eyes.
"Brother, you must be careful and safe. I will wait for you to come back home."
"Don't worry, Xiaoli, we will definitely return safely." Lu Yining stroked her head gently.
The team members got into the car, and the car quickly drove away from the scene with sirens blaring. Xiaoli stood there, watching their backs disappear into the distance.
"You must return safely..." She prayed silently in her heart.
"Little girl, your family is really amazing." The old man beside her said softly.
"Yes, they are heroes in my heart." Xiaoli responded with a smile, with a determined light in her eyes.
In the car, Lu Yining clenched his fists and looked forward with a resolute gaze. "Although this mission has ended successfully, I know that our battle has just begun."
"Yes, no matter what difficulties we will encounter in the future, we will face them together." Li Wei said firmly.
"That's right, as long as we are here, justice will never fail!" Ajie added proudly.
As the convoy retreated, the sun rose in the distance, illuminating the land and bringing new hope and light. As the convoy sped along, Xiaoli, still worried about the safety of her brother and teammates, suddenly heard a faint sound from the ruins of the abandoned factory. Several passersby stopped, having been about to leave, when the sudden sound caught their attention.
"Hello, did you hear that? It sounds like someone is calling for help." A young man said nervously.
His companion nodded, his expression equally nervous. "Yes, the sound came from those ruins! Let's go check it out."
The two quickly approached the still-smoking ruins, carefully searching for the source of the noise. Soon, they found the injured researcher amidst the rubble. Though covered in wounds, he had miraculously survived and was still able to utter a weak cry for help.
"Help..." the researcher shouted hoarsely.
Seeing this, the two young men immediately took action and began to dig away the rubble covering him with their bare hands. "Don't be afraid, we will help you out," one of the young men shouted encouragingly.
Meanwhile, back in the car, the team members gradually regained their spirits. After the emergency treatment, everyone calmed down a bit, but their vigilance remained undiminished. Zhang Hao was analyzing the newly found data files on the car computer, while Wang Qiang quietly checked his equipment, ensuring that everyone's safety measures were in place.
Lu Yining sat in the driver's seat, gazing intently at the receding road ahead. Suddenly, his phone vibrated—a message from the local police station, alerting him to a witness's report of hearing what sounded like a human cry for help at the accident scene.
After seeing the message, he immediately informed the other members: "Everyone, please pay attention. We just received a notification from the police saying that someone at the scene heard someone calling for help. We must go back and confirm it."
