Quick Wear: Plan to Save the Unrequited Boss
Chapter 150 The obedient little sun is insensitive enough
Cheng Yu took a bottle of mineral water from the refrigerator. His ears were almost callused from hearing his mother's instructions so often.
"Mom, when have you ever seen me not take care of her?"
Yu Man curled her lips, "Boys are always not as careful as girls."
Cheng Yu had nothing to say. He glanced at his father and spoke with a smirk.
"Then you shouldn't blame me, you should blame my dad."
"Hey, you brat."
Cheng Yanzhou glared at him and diverted the fire.
Cheng Yu ignored him and went upstairs with the water.
The door of the room upstairs was closed, and Yu Man quietly approached Cheng Yanzhou.
"You said these two kids were childhood sweethearts, and now—"
"Stop it! The two kids are only in their first year of high school, and you're already thinking so far ahead. Let the kids' affairs develop freely and they can make their own decisions."
Yu Man pouted in dissatisfaction, "Didn't I just say it in front of you?"
Cheng Yanzhou looked at her disapprovingly, "That can't be said. It would be bad if the two children heard it. Whether they are brother and sister or something else, let nature take its course."
"Okay, got it."
Yu Man pursed her lips and spoke weakly.
After the winter vacation, it was the second semester of the first year of high school. On the first day of school, Wen Ling got into the Cheng family's car and a bottle of milk appeared in front of her.
"Strawberry, hot."
On the other seat, Cheng Yu heard the sound of the car door opening, so he handed over the milk in his hand, but his eyes did not leave his phone, and he was playing games with one hand.
Wen Ling took it and glanced at him.
"I just mean it's the first time I've seen someone play games with one hand."
Cheng Yu quickly finished a game, listened to her words, and looked up at her.
"I'm bringing you milk and you're still acting so sarcastic."
Wen Ling sat down in her seat and blinked.
"Really? I was clearly complimenting you on your gaming skills, Xiaoyu."
Cheng Yu snorted at first, then frowned and looked at her.
"Don't call me that. It's not good for my mother."
Wen Ling chuckled, "That's a very affectionate way to say it."
Cheng Yu glanced at her sideways and said, "You are so disrespectful, calling me brother."
"Okay, Brother Xiaoyu."
Cheng Yu was exhausted and looked at her dangerously with narrowed eyes.
"Wen Ling, your skin is itchy, right?"
Wen Ling quickly stopped and coughed. Cheng Yu snorted and laughed when he saw her cowardly look.
"Lu Che asked me to play basketball. When we get to school, go to the classroom and reserve a seat."
"No, I don't want to be your deskmate."
Cheng Yu is one year older than her. When the original owner was young, she worked hard to study and skipped a grade in order to be in the same class with Cheng Yu. Later, because of her parents, she gradually became rebellious and didn't care much about studying. But because Cheng Yu was pulling her along, the original owner's grades were always at the same level as his. She was not the best, but she was also in the upper middle level.
City A No. 1 Middle School had already separated its science majors, and both chose science. They were then divided into classes based on their grades before the winter break, and were assigned to the same class. In Class 2, the best science students were in Class 1, and the next best were in Class 2.
Cheng Yu looked at her sideways in confusion, "Have I offended you recently?"
Wen Ling shook her head. "No, it's just that it's boring to always sit at the same table with you. I want to try changing my deskmate."
Cheng Yu raised his eyebrows slightly, held his chin in his hand and sighed, "It seems that the child has grown up and has forgotten who fetched her water and snacks after class and helped her with her homework."
Seeing Wen Ling's resolute attitude, Cheng Yu sighed, "Okay, then you should help me save a seat."
Wen Ling looked at him, "Where do you want to sit?"
"Since you don't want to sit at the same table with me, then grab a seat in the back row for me."
Wen Ling nodded in response. The reason why Wen Ling didn't sit next to Cheng Yu was because Su Mu, the top student, had failed his final exams and was assigned to Class 2.
The two entered the school. Wen Ling took Cheng Yu's coat out of habit, watched him run to the playground and then walked towards the classroom.
Classes one and two of senior high school are on the first floor, which is very convenient for buying meals. The liberal arts classes are all upstairs.
Next to Class 1 was the head teacher's office. Wen Ling passed by and saw the heroine Song Nian, wearing the school uniform of No. 1 Middle School. She had a neat high ponytail and wore black-framed glasses. She was standing next to a middle-aged man. She looked dull and with her head down, she exuded a sense of insecurity.
The middle-aged man should be Song Nian's parent. The person standing opposite him was the head teacher. Wen Ling took a quick glance and left.
"Yes, yes, Director, we will pay attention to it."
The middle-aged man looked like he often worked under the sun, and his skin was rough and dark. He smiled and greeted the director opposite him.
After the director left, the middle-aged man turned and looked at Song Nian.
"Did you hear that? Nian Nian, the teacher said you'd definitely be assigned to Class 1. The final exam will determine the class placement. How could you let me down at this crucial moment?"
Song Nian lowered his head, pursed his lips, and remained silent, feeling guilty. During the exam, he thought of that figure, and for some reason, he modified two math multiple-choice questions and gave up the last two big questions.
Father Song sighed, "Nian Nian, being born into a family like ours, you have no choice but to study. Your mother and I work tirelessly from dawn to dusk just to support you and your brother to go to college."
Song Nian's eyes turned red and tears fell, and she felt even more guilty.
"Nian Nian, our family is no different from other families. You must work hard and study hard. Your mother and I work so hard to earn money so that you can have a good future."
Song Nian nodded heavily and raised his hand to wipe away his tears.
Wen Ling entered the classroom from the back door, looked around at the back rows, and placed Cheng Yu's bag and coat in the second-to-last row, by the window. The last row was more dangerous, as the teacher would always come in from the back door to check. The second-to-last row was better, as it was by the window, and when he got tired, he could look out the window and relax his eyes.
After selecting Cheng Yu's position, Wen Ling went to find the target of the mission. It was in the third row by the window. If you ignored the people around the boy, you would think that the boy was studying seriously with his head down.
"Hey, isn't this our Su University bully? How come he's assigned to Class 2?"
"You're still eating steamed buns. You said you couldn't even afford to eat, but you're not studying hard to keep your top spot in the grade."
Several people burst into laughter, but Su Mu, who was sitting in his seat, just lowered his head and ate the steamed bun in his hand while looking at the English words.
"If you ask me, high school is so hard to come by, then university tuition will be even more expensive. I might as well drop out."
Another classmate patted the boy who was talking.
"You're just ignorant. You can get a loan to go to college."
"That means we'll have to eat steamed bread for another four years."
Several people laughed again, but Su Mu, who was sitting in his seat, remained indifferent.
Wen Ling threw her schoolbag to the seat next to Su Mu.
The loud noise attracted the attention of everyone around Su Mu, who was looking at Wen Ling. Su Mu was also startled and forgot to chew the bun in his mouth. He puffed up his cheeks and turned his head to look at Wen Ling blankly.
This glance also stunned Wen Ling.
"Ahhh, Xiaoqi, what a cutie this is."
The boy's hair was a little long, and his eyebrows were half covered when he looked up at her. His eyes were wide open and clear, and they were filled with clear doubt and frightened shock.
It wasn't that he was frightened. He puffed up his cheeks and forgot to chew the steamed bun in his mouth. He held the half-eaten steamed bun wrapped in plastic paper in his hands and stared at her blankly, like a frightened little hamster.
It simply melted her heart.
