Death: Captain Millennium

Chapter 176: Let's Fight! Chojiro Suzuki

Compared to Ichigo's miserable state, Orihime and Uryuu were much more relaxed. They only faced an opponent like Jirobo Ikkanzaka, the Fourth Seat of the Seventh Division. After his father's personal training, Uryuu's strength was far superior, and he easily defeated his opponent.

However, the most frustrated person was undoubtedly Chad. After breaking through the siege, he rushed non-stop to the Palace of Confession. However, as he passed through the Eighth Division's territory, he unfortunately encountered the Eighth Division's Third Commander, Tatsufusa Noriji. Fortunately, the Third Commander was somewhat of a figurehead, and Chad successfully repelled him with a single strike.

But as the saying goes, "Good fortune never comes alone, nor does misfortune." Just as he finally defeated Noriji Tatsufusa and continued on his way, he suddenly saw Shunsui sitting leisurely on the rooftop drinking. For some reason, this guy foolishly made a gesture as if he was going to attack Shunsui.

Chunshui naturally wouldn't argue with a child, and kindly advised him not to act rashly. But who would have thought that Chadu would completely ignore his warning.

As the saying goes, "Good words cannot persuade a damned devil." Faced with such a reckless fellow, Chunshui could only shake his head helplessly. After casually dodging a few of Chad's "giant blows," he attacked him without further ado. The result was obvious: Chunshui sent him sprawling to the ground with a single blow.

Elsewhere, Ichigo, who had been recuperating for a while, gradually regained some strength and began to worry about the danger facing Ganju and Hanatarō. Without hesitation, he struggled to his feet and prepared to rush towards the Palace of Confessions. Although his injuries had not yet fully healed, he no longer cared about that.

"Boy! Where do you want to go?" A sudden figure blocked Ichigo's way. It was Chojiro who had been lying in ambush for a long time.

Ichigo saw that the person was also wearing a haori, and subconsciously thought that the person in front of him was the captain of an unknown team. After all, each captain had his own unique clothing style and haori. But when he looked closely, he found that the haori this person was wearing was not the style of a captain's haori, and there was no adjutant armband on his arm.

Ichigo naively thought the man before him was just an ordinary soldier, perhaps a lieutenant at best. So, he acted arrogantly and said, "Uncle, don't get in my way. I need to save my friend. I'm very strong, and I don't want to cut you down."

"Well! You've been underestimated, Kurosaki Ichigo! Do you think you can defeat me?" Chojiro raised the corners of his mouth slightly, revealing a disdainful smile.

Hearing Chojiro's words, Ichigo subconsciously felt a little uneasy, but he still pretended to be calm and continued to play the emotional card. "Oh! Uncle, you know me, so if that's the case, then there's no need for us to fight. You should just get out of the way and let me go save them. That would be better for everyone, right?"

"I am the Vice Captain of the First Division, Chojiro Suzuki! Ichigo Kurosaki, let me test your abilities."

As he spoke, Chojiro Suzuki drew his Zanpakuto from his waist.

Hearing this, Ichigo Kurosaki's face showed shock: "Are you...kidding me? Vice Captain of the First Division?"

He knew full well that the First Division was the headquarters of the Gotei 13, and that anyone who could hold the position of Vice-Captain of the First Division was definitely no ordinary person. It could even be said that this position held even greater weight than that of some captains. After all, those who held this position were, without exception, incredibly powerful monsters.

"Hey...hey, Uncle Suzube, my father is the former captain of the 10th Division, Isshin Shiba. I think you all know him. Can we not fight?" Ichigo Kurosaki said with a flattering look on his face.

"I know your father, so what?" However, Chojiro Kurosaki ignored Ichigo Kurosaki's words and continued to press him. Seeing that he was so determined to fight him, Ichigo Kurosaki had no choice but to bite the bullet and prepare for the battle.

Since this battle was unavoidable, he took a deep breath and began to mobilize his spiritual pressure. After several consecutive fierce battles, his spiritual pressure had unknowingly increased to a level close to that of a captain. Unfortunately, he was a complete novice in the use of spiritual pressure and strength, and had no idea what it meant.

While Ichigo had no idea what was happening, Chojiro Suzuki was incredibly sensitive to fluctuations in spiritual pressure. When he felt the powerful spiritual pressure emanating from Ichigo, his heart churned, and he nearly lost control. "It's only been a few short days, and he's already grown to this point?!"

"Punch through him! Yan Ling Wan."

Chojiro released his Zanpakutō, and he wouldn't underestimate anyone. Even a lion would use all its strength to fight a rabbit, not to mention that Kurosaki Ichigo was a pervert as Lin Yu called him, so he didn't want to capsize in the gutter.

Chojiro swung his sword and the moment their Zanpakuto collided, he keenly realized that Kurosaki Ichigo was only strong in spiritual pressure, and his slashing techniques were terrible, not to mention instant movement and kidō, because he didn't know any of them at all.

After just a few moves, Ichigo Kurosaki was knocked to the ground by Chojiro and had several more wounds on his body.

"Damn it..." He cursed softly and wiped the blood off his forehead.

Chojiro looked at Ichigo in front of him and felt a little admiration in his heart.

But the knife in his hand did not stop and stabbed towards Ichigo again.

Ichigo gritted his teeth and dodged sideways with all his strength.

However, Chojiro's attacks rained down, and Ichigo could only keep dodging.

"I can't lose!" Ichigo shouted in his heart.

He stared at Chojiro intently, observing his every move with rapt attention, as if trying to memorize every subtle movement. Finally, he saw a perfect opportunity. He rushed towards Chojiro at an astonishing speed, stretched out his right hand, and tightly grasped the extremely sharp blade.

Suddenly, blood gushed from his palm like a fountain, staining the ground red. However, he seemed unaware of it, and his face showed no trace of pain.

Chojiro was slightly startled, having obviously not expected Ichigo to choose such a risky method to defend himself from his attack. However, he quickly regained his composure, his lips curled up slightly in a disdainful smile.

At this moment, Ichigo used all his strength to push Chojiro away, then quickly raised the Zanpakuto in his hand and slashed at Chojiro fiercely.

"Too slow! Your movements are as slow as an ant crawling in my eyes." Chojiro snorted coldly, and with a flash of his body, he easily dodged Ichigo's attack. Then, he swung his hand back and slashed at Ichigo with another sharp knife.

Ichigo's eyes widened as he tried to see Chojiro's movements, but he found he couldn't keep up with his opponent's speed. Everything happened too fast, just like when he first fought Byakuya Kuchiki. Before he could even react, he was stabbed in the back.

The wound caused by the knife made him feel an unprecedented pain, which spread throughout his body like a burning fire, making him gasp.

Chojiro was secretly muttering in his heart: "Tsk tsk! Didn't Lin Yu say that this guy is a pervert? But how come I can't see it at all? Could it be that he hasn't been forced into a desperate situation yet?"
