Chapter 366 Time Flies, Fortunately You Are Here (Page 12)

In the yard

Su Mo was tidying up his belongings, while Qiu Qiu paced back and forth beside him, wagging its tail and occasionally glancing curiously at Su Mo's actions, as if it didn't quite understand what he was doing.

Su Mo looked up and saw Yun Jin sitting in a rocking chair, her eyes slightly squinted, seemingly dozing. Sunlight shone on her, casting a soft halo around her. Su Mo looked at her, a gentle smile on his face, his eyes full of doting affection.

Since moving into the new courtyard, there's been so much to do. We need to keep catching up on the planning of the courtyard every few days.

For example, today he plans to expand the vegetable garden there, tomorrow he plans to plant some trees there, build a pond... and so on. For large projects, needless to say, for small projects, Su Mo naturally prefers to do it himself rather than hire someone to repair them. This is not only a way to pass the time, but also a way to show his care for his own yard. The sense of accomplishment after completion is self-evident, and Yun Jin's praise for his hard work is enough to make him happy.

It's worth mentioning that since moving into the new courtyard, Su Mo feels that her life is much more fulfilling than before. Not only does she have things to do materially, but she also has a rich and colorful spiritual life.

Before, when he was all alone, he didn't think about things that much. After get off work, he would do some housework and chores, but he was never as diligent as he is now. Yun Jin is now in charge of everything. As soon as he comes back, she directs him to do this and that. Although the process is tiring, he is at least there is someone by his side. He is not afraid of being mentally exhausted or having no one to appreciate his great work.

Furthermore, the two had been living separately before and didn't know each other's lives very well. Now they were much more familiar with each other. As for their interactions, before living together, he only thought that Yun Jin, Xiang Ling, and others were just friends, so there wouldn't be much contact between them, and they would only get together occasionally.

I later learned that there are significant differences in how girls and boys think and communicate.

As for the boys, let's just wish each other well.

Girls, especially close girlfriends, naturally visit each other often to share their recent troubles, have heart-to-heart talks, and provide emotional support.

Putting everything else aside, the tea party alone would make the courtyard bustling with activity on weekends. Even on weekdays, guests would come every few days. Xiangling was fine, as Wanmintang had a large customer flow and usually couldn't be left unattended. But Hutao was different. Hutao would take advantage of the break from promoting her business to come here for a cup of tea and, incidentally, complain about a certain idle and useless guest.

When visiting each other became the norm, staying for a meal was naturally inevitable. At first, Hu Tao declined in every way, saying that it was already impolite to bother her, and if she stayed for a meal, where would she put her face? But she couldn't resist Yun Jin's persistent entreaties, so Hu Tao had no choice but to reluctantly stay for a meal.

Over time, it seemed that she had somehow gotten through to him, and Hu Tao would always come over at mealtimes, either early or late. If asked why she was always freeloading, she would proudly claim that it was for her future retirement. She said that since Zhong Li was such a spendthrift, she should save more so that she could have plenty of Mora to enjoy when she was old. She even advised Su Mo not to worry so much, and that once she had saved up enough, she would treat him and Yun Jin to a big meal to make up for all the losses.

Su Mo was speechless. The idea was nice, but had Hu Tao really considered what would happen? It was probably just an excuse to freeload a meal.

Soon, Su Mo finished tidying up the flowers and completed the task. He patted the soil off his hands, and Qiu Qiu jumped and skipped on the small mound of soil when she saw this.

Su Mo walked to the rocking chair and looked at Yun Jin's serene face. He couldn't help but feel a sense of accomplishment. How could such a beautiful girl be his girlfriend?

Su Mo raised her hand and gently pinched the other's round cheek, softly calling out, "Jin Bao'er?"

Yun Jin hummed in response, groggily opened her eyes, and frowned, looking at this unruly fellow with a hint of reproach. "What's wrong?"

"What do you want to eat today?" Su Mo asked, looking at Yun Jin's slightly chubby face, a warm feeling welling up in her heart.

Yun Jin yawned, looking listless.

"Little sleepyhead, haven't you had enough sleep yet?" Su Mo teased.

Yun Jin glared at Su Mo playfully, then said lazily, "I'm a little sleepy."

She stretched and yawned, seemingly about to get up, but then lay back down on the chair.

Su Mo said helplessly, "Alright, get up now. If you keep sleeping, I don't think you'll be able to sleep tonight. What do you want to eat? I'll make it."

The other person didn't get up at all. Instead, they casually raised one hand and waved it outwards, as if to say: Don't worry about me, let me sleep a little longer.

Su Mo chuckled, "You're getting cocky if you don't discipline someone for three days." With that, she pounced on the man's itchy spot.

This sudden attack made Yun Jin laugh uncontrollably, her sleepiness completely gone. She raised her hand to slap away the other person's mischievous hand.

He pleaded, "Okay, okay, I'll get up, I'll get up, alright?"

The girl opened her eyes, stared at the motionless figure ahead, and after a few breaths, she jumped up and said with a smile, "Come on, I'll go help you." With that, she walked towards the kitchen.

Su Mo straightened the blanket on the chair and followed, a slight smile appearing on her lips as she watched the other person's back.

Suddenly his expression changed. "Jinbao'er, what's wrong?!"

Upon hearing this, Yun Jin turned her head away, confused. Following Su Mo's gaze, she looked down blankly. When she saw the stains on her clothes, a look of panic flashed across her face, and her expression changed drastically.

Today, Yun Jin wasn't wearing her usual dark clothes, but rather light-colored casual wear, making it all the more noticeable that there were large red bloodstains on her pants.

Su Mo immediately stepped forward to examine it closely.

"Don't come any closer! I'm fine!" Yun Jin cried out, her hands frantically covering her face, her eyes wide with anger, as she hurriedly ran towards the room.

Seeing this, Su Mo hurriedly followed, and as soon as she stepped into the room, a series of reprimands came from behind her.

"Get out! Don't come in!"

"You..." Seeing the other person's excited state, Su Mo couldn't help but feel even more worried.

Seeing that Su Mo was still motionless, Yun Jin blushed with shame and indignation and said, "I can handle this myself, you should get out!"

Seeing that the other party was so insistent, Su Mo nodded helplessly, "Alright, just call me anytime if you need anything."

"Okay, now get out of here!"

"Good good..."

Yun Jin watched Su Mo walk out with her own eyes. The next moment, she hurriedly went forward to close the door. When she heard that there was no more noise outside, she leaned weakly against the door, covered her forehead with a helpless expression, and her blush became more and more obvious.

"Ugh, how embarrassing!!!"

……

"What's wrong with Yun Jin?" Su Mo still didn't quite understand Yun Jin's abnormal behavior. There was clearly something wrong, but why couldn't he be allowed to show concern?

At that moment, the real person inside her snorted, "If I were her, I would have kicked you out with one kick. Why go through all this trouble?"

"Huh? Why?" Su Mo suddenly realized after asking, "Okay, I know, so it's that..."

He was initially a little doubtful, but when Shinichi said that she would have done the same thing in her place, it reminded him of the characteristics of women.

Well, if it were him, he would feel awkward too.

Girls and boys are different. They hadn't lived together before, and Yun Jin hadn't shown any sexual desire, so it hadn't been given much thought and had been overlooked. This time, it happened so suddenly, and she really hadn't kept up. The other person's flustered attempt to cover it up must have been somewhat embarrassing.

Thinking of this, Su Mo suddenly felt ashamed. He had just been thinking of taking a closer look at what was wrong with the other person.

This is what they call being too concerned and losing your temper.

That was really awkward!

Su Mo glanced at the closed door, thought for a moment, and said, "Jin Bao'er, remember to call me if you need anything."

"understood."

Su Mo only turned and left after hearing sounds coming from inside the house.

A moment later, the door clicked open, and a small head popped out. Yun Jin peeked out of the room, and seeing that no one was there, she breathed a sigh of relief, opened the door, and walked out.

She was now wearing a brand new set of clothes.

Looking at the empty courtyard, Yun Jin felt relieved, but then a sense of melancholy returned.

"That idiot Su Mo, I told you to leave, and you actually left," Yun Jin muttered. She didn't mean it that way, but how could a girl like her do something like that!

And shouldn't he have stayed with her at this time? Leaving like that is so irresponsible.

Despite her resentment, she ultimately let herself go, so she can't blame anyone else.

After calming down, Yun Jin turned around and went back into the room. When she came out again, she was carrying a basket containing the clothes she had worn before, but now they were stained with paint and looked somewhat haggard and worn.

Yun Jin thought for a moment, then picked up the basket and walked towards the bathroom.

Su Mo returned from outside, carrying several bags.

Upon entering, Su Mo saw the room with the door open. Out of curiosity, she peered inside. It was empty, except for the scent of Yun Jin's usual perfume lingering in the room.

This made Su Mo a little curious, "Where is he?"

He started searching, when suddenly a splashing sound came from the bathroom. Su Mo looked in the direction of the sound and saw that the bathroom door was not completely closed, still leaving a small gap. Su Mo stood on tiptoe and swayed his body through the crack in the door and saw a figure working hard, his hands moving non-stop, and that pretty little face was full of stubbornness and seriousness.

Upon seeing this, Su Mo couldn't help but chuckle, unsure of what to say—whether to call it cute or likable, perhaps both.

Forget it, I'd better not bother her anymore, otherwise she might really get angry.

Su Mo shook her head, then picked up the bag and walked towards the kitchen.

……

In the bathroom

"Ugh! I'm exhausted!"

Yun Jin sighed and wiped the sweat from her forehead.

How could anyone else possibly know about this? And once it happens, it needs to be dealt with quickly, otherwise it will become increasingly difficult to handle as time goes on.

She still came to wash up as soon as she changed her clothes, and even that exhausted her.

Yun Jin paused for a moment, rinsed the clothes again, poured out the dirty water with a splash, put the clothes in a basin, carried the basin to the balcony, took out a clothes hanger and hung them up one by one. Looking at her masterpiece, Yun Jin couldn't help but nod to herself.

However, Yun Jin, with her sharp eyes, suddenly noticed a spot that didn't seem to have been thoroughly cleaned.

Is it just my imagination?

Yun Jin walked closer to examine her underwear. The sun was shining brightly outside, and she carefully examined it through the sunlight. There did seem to be some stains, which were quite noticeable, possibly because the clothes weren't dry yet. They would be much better once they were dry.

Determined to see things through to the end, Yun Jin picked the chrysanthemum, placed it in the basin, and turned to leave.

"Ah!" Yun Jin was startled by someone suddenly appearing behind him. It turned out that Su Mo had been standing behind him at some point.

"What are you doing here! Didn't you leave? When did you get here?" Yun Jin asked, still shaken.

Su Mo looked bewildered. "I just went out for a bit. I didn't leave. When... I think I've been here since you came out of the bathroom just now..."
