I want to ruin the country

Chapter 278: Simplifying Complex Problems

Yining Road,

“What you are reciting is ‘The Tao that can be spoken is not the eternal Tao’, both are three characters.

And what I'm reciting is "The Tao that can be spoken is not the eternal Tao," which is four characters, right?"

"Correct!"

"Let's start with the punctuation. If Lao Tzu said that the Tao that can be spoken is not the eternal Tao, and the name that can be named is not the eternal name, then if there is no "also",

Can we break the sentence as, "The Tao is acceptable, the Tao is not acceptable, and this is the constant Tao?"

Qingxi said,

“You can punctuate like this!”

Yining Road,

"What does this punctuation mean? Zhang Congzhi, tell me!"

Zhang Congzhi said,

"Can we understand it this way? Dao Ke means there is Dao, of course there is no problem. Dao Fei means there is no Dao, that's also fine."

Yining praised,

"You've understood it quite clearly at such a young age. If we follow this punctuation, what Laozi meant is that it's okay to not have the Tao!

What is Tao? It can also be understood as the bottom line for being a person and doing things. I have no bottom line in doing things. Is this right? Qingxi, tell me! "

Qingxi said,

"The meaning has completely changed. Everyone can act lawless now!"

Everyone shook their heads. Obviously, this explanation was wrong.

Yining continued,

"I'm a talented person, how could I leave such a big loophole for others to misinterpret my meaning? Do you think it would happen?"

"will not!"

Yining Road,

"Although I can punctuate the Tao Te Ching correctly after reading the four-character sentences, there are still some things I can't understand.

It wasn't until I saw the Tao Te Ching collected by Lady Xin Zhui that I suddenly understood!

Do you know who Lady Xin Zhui is?"

Everyone shook their heads.

"do not know!"

Yining Road,

"She was the wife of Li Cang, the Prime Minister of Changsha during the Western Han Dynasty!"

Qingxi and the others don’t care who Lady Xin Zhui is. What they care most about is the issues of the Tao Te Ching.

Yining said, "The version I read at first was 'The Tao that can be told is not the eternal Tao.'

However, the version collected by Lady Xin Zhui reads "The Tao that can be spoken of is not always the Tao; the name that can be named is not always the name."

Although there is only one word difference between "常" and "恒", it is a huge mistake!

Do you know why some people want to change the word "heng" to "chang"?

Everyone still shook their heads.

Yining continued,

"It's because we want to avoid the character 'Heng' in Emperor Wen of Han, Liu Heng. Do you understand?"

Several people nodded. Avoiding the king's name has been the custom since ancient times, and they agreed with this statement.

Yining said again,

“It has been changed, but can Chang replace Heng?

You see, the Tao can be spoken of. The first Tao is a noun, which means the great Tao of the world.

The second Tao is a verb, which means the power to change heaven and earth.

It is not a constant way. This way means that the way is not constant for a long time. The way behind all things is constantly changing.

If this is common sense, can it be explained this way?

"Chang" means often, and here it can also be understood as unchanging. Everything in the world remains unchanged. Do you think it is right?

Not to mention the universe, even a person is unchanging. This explanation is definitely wrong!

Several people later said in unison,

"wrong!"

Yining saw that the Iranian nuclear peace and Iranian construction were also wrong, so he laughed.

"You two also understood?"

Iran Nuclear Flat Road,

"I dare not say it clearly, but I understand it. It is the emperor who makes it clear!"

This is not because they are flattering, Yining’s explanation is simple and easy to understand, so they can understand it!

Yining Road,

"Think about it, there have been so many emperors throughout the dynasties, and so many words that needed to be avoided.

You change one, I change one, so the Tao Te Ching you see now is a version that has been changed beyond recognition.

So, it’s no surprise that you, Zhang Congzhi, feel that many things are inexplicable!

That's it!

Zhang Congzhi understood and asked,

“Where can I find the unaltered Tao Te Ching?”

Yining grinned. The Tao Te Ching he was reading was the silk manuscript version collected by Lady Xin Zhui, which was unearthed from the Mawangdui Han Tomb in 1972.

The book is still buried in the soil, where can he find it?

Yining looked around and said,

"Zhang Congzhi, don't think you can understand the Tao Te Ching just by hearing a few words from me. That's not the case!"

Zhang Congzhi was stunned.

"why?"

Yining Road,

"This book is truly a divine book. It teaches profound truths, but the writing is incredibly difficult to understand. Even the slightest deviation in understanding can lead to erroneous conclusions!"

Chapter Congzhidao,

"Who else can analyze this book as clearly as you do?"

Yining shook his head.

"It's not that there aren't great people who can explain this book, it's just that most people have read versions that are not completely correct, so everyone has their own opinions!"

Zhang Congzhi showed a disappointed look. Yining understood why he was disappointed and said,

"If I have time, I will discuss the mysteries of this book with you, but I can also teach you a method to understand it!"

"Sir, please speak!"

Yining Road,

"Let me give you an example. For example, the highest virtue is inaction, yet action is achieved. The virtue in this sentence can be understood as a person's skill or ability.

"Wei" means to act!

What this sentence means is that a person who is truly talented and capable does not need to show off his abilities.

Why not show off his skills?

One is that it is unnecessary. It’s like a top swordsman. If someone challenges him to a duel, he will surely win. But does he need to tell everyone that he is the best in the world?

Another meaning can be explained by a common saying, which is "the protruding rafters rot first", which also means to protect oneself.

Do you understand what I mean by that?"

"I understand!"

Therefore, when you don’t understand something, try to find the most common sentence to match it, and all your confusion will be solved!

"Such a profound text as the Tao Te Ching must have some common words to correspond to it?"

"Of course there is, because Lao Tzu's wisdom also comes from life.

He just summarized it and wrote it in obscure words.

You just need to turn it back into common people's language and simplify the complex issues!"

Zhang Congzhi was enlightened as if by a bolt of lightning. He wanted to kneel down and kowtow, but suddenly realized that this was at a barbecue stall, so he quickly stopped.

"Thank you, sir. I don't have to dwell on this anymore!"

The question was asked by Zhang Congzhi, but Zhang Changtian also benefited a lot because he had similar questions but was just too embarrassed to ask.

Zhang Qingxi stared at the emperor with her big eyes, which were full of little stars.

Several people were very happy eating and drinking. Yining asked Zhang Changtian,

"How are you doing with your studies lately?"

Zhang Changtian has been studying some revolutionary and philosophical ideas of later teachers that Yining compiled for him recently!

He planned to train Zhang Changtian into a qualified political cadre.

Chapter Chang Tian Dao,

"I've recently read some of Mr. Wang Yangming's books and benefited a lot from them!"
