Chapter 695: Fierce Fighting Outside Yuzhang City

Taishi Ci watched Huang Zu and Liu Yao fleeing, his eyes blazing with rage, eager to catch up and capture them. But Su Fei, with his troops, stood before him like a barrier, ready for battle. Taishi Ci took a deep breath, calming his fury. He knew that if he wanted to catch up with the two traitors, a battle was inevitable.

"Su Fei, don't be stubborn! Huang Zu and Liu Yao are so cruel and unjust that they have abandoned you. Why should you risk your life for them?" Taishi Ci shouted loudly, trying to persuade Su Fei to withdraw his troops.

Su Fei was unmoved. He gripped the spear tightly in his hand and responded loudly: "Taishi Ci, you betrayed your master and defected to the enemy. How can you have the face to preach here? Today I will guard this retreat for my lord. Don't even think about getting through!" After that, he took the lead and rushed towards Taishi Ci.

Seeing this, Taishi Ci's expression froze, and he charged forward fearlessly. The two horses swiftly closed in, and in the blink of an eye, they were engaged in close combat. Su Fei struck first, his spear piercing Taishi Ci's chest like a venomous snake emerging from its lair. Taishi Ci remained calm, dodging the blow with a sideways motion. Simultaneously, he thrust his spear forward, aiming for Su Fei's throat. Su Fei quickly held his spear horizontally to block the blow. A resounding clang erupted, sparks flew from the collision, and the shock numbed both men's arms.

Seeing their commanders already engaged, soldiers on both sides erupted in shouts and charged at each other like a tide. For a moment, the battlefield was ablaze with the flashing of swords, the cries of killing, and the shrieks of agony, thickening with smoke. Taishi Ci's soldiers, driven by their hatred for Huang Zu and Liu Yao, as well as their loyalty to Taishi Ci, bravely fought, each one against ten. Su Fei's soldiers, though obeying orders to resist, were inevitably intimidated by Taishi Ci's fierceness, and their morale gradually waned.

In the fierce battle, Taishi Ci grew more and more courageous. His spearmanship was superb, each strike fierce and devastating, each one targeting Su Fei's vital points. Su Fei gradually began to feel the strain, beads of sweat streaming down his forehead, his breathing becoming rapid. But he gritted his teeth and persevered, his mind focused on one thing: securing his retreat and buying time for his lord.

Suddenly, Taishi Ci spotted a flaw in Su Fei's attack and, with a roar, thrust his spear out like lightning. Su Fei couldn't dodge, and could only barely block with his arm. The spear pierced his arm, and blood instantly stained his sleeve. Su Fei nearly dropped the spear in pain.

"Su Fei, you are already injured, why bother to resist in vain? Surrender!" Taishi Ci persuaded again.

Su Fei shook his head stubbornly. He ignored the pain of his wound, gripped his spear tightly again, and roared, "It's impossible for me to surrender! Today, either you die or I die!" After that, he rushed towards Taishi Ci again.

Taishi Ci sighed helplessly, a flicker of admiration in his eyes. He held back no longer, unleashing all his might in a final showdown with Su Fei. As the two engaged in a fierce exchange, the balance of victory and defeat gradually began to tilt.

As the battle reached its climax, Taishi Ci unleashed his full might, his attacks becoming increasingly fierce, sweeping towards Su Fei like a raging storm. His spear danced swiftly, each swing sending a whirring sound. His moves were cunning and brutal, leaving Su Fei exhausted from parrying.

Su Fei's arm was wounded, blood dripping down the shaft of his spear. The excruciating pain slammed into him, slowing his movements and diminishing his strength. But he still relied on his tenacious willpower to persevere, attempting to hold onto this last line of defense. However, under Taishi Ci's powerful attack, his defenses gradually began to show flaws.

Taishi Ci seized the opportunity and feinted a spear, causing Su Fei to hastily block. Then he suddenly swerved sideways, circled behind Su Fei, and struck him hard in the back with the butt of his spear. Su Fei was unable to dodge and was thrown forward by the blow, hitting the ground hard and sending the spear flying.

Before Su Fei could struggle to get up, Taishi Ci quickly jumped off his horse, rushed forward, put his spear against his neck, and shouted: "Su Fei, you have no way to escape, surrender!" Su Fei's face was full of unwillingness, his eyes were red, his chest heaving violently, and he was gasping for breath, but he also knew that the game was over, so he could only close his eyes in hatred and gave up resistance helplessly.

"Tie him up!" Taishi Ci shouted, and the soldiers quickly advanced, tying Su Fei up. Su Fei's capture threw his soldiers into disarray, and they abandoned their armor and weapons and fled in all directions. Taishi Ci gazed in the direction of Huang Zu and Liu Yao's escape, a flicker of determination in his eyes. He knew the chase was far from over; he had to quickly eliminate the remaining enemies and catch up with the two culprits.

Just as Taishi Ci successfully captured Su Fei and prepared to pursue Huang Zu and Liu Yao, the sound of hurried horse hooves suddenly reached him in the distance. Lü Meng and Lü Dai, leading their elite troops, surged in from the left like a black tide. Simultaneously, Xue Zong and Quan Cong's troops quickly encircled Huang Zu from the right, completely surrounding him.

Huang Zu and Liu Yao, who had secretly rejoiced at having shaken off Taishi Ci, were terrified by the sudden turn of events. Huang Zu's face was pale, his hands trembling, and his voice was filled with tears: "What should we do? Why are there so many pursuers?" Liu Yao slumped on his horse, his face ashen, unable to utter a word.

Lü Meng led the charge, charging into the enemy lines, brandishing his sword with such force that wherever he went, the enemy fell. He shouted, "Huang Zu, Liu Yao, you can't escape today! Surrender now!" Lü Dai drew his bow and arrows, each one aiming precisely at the enemy commander. Suddenly, the enemy camp erupted in screams and chaos.

On the right, Xue Zong and Quan Cong worked in perfect harmony, leading their troops with the courage and fearlessness of a tiger descending a mountain. Xue Zong, sword in hand, charged left and right, driving the enemy back. Quan Cong, leading the charge, cut off the enemy's retreat, leaving Huang Zu's forces in a desperate situation.

Huang Zu's soldiers, dazed and disoriented by this pincer attack, completely lost their ability to resist. They fled in all directions, trampling one another, further disorganizing their already scattered ranks. Huang Zu and Liu Yao, watching the devastating scene, were filled with despair. They attempted to break through, but were each repelled by Sun Ce's forces.

In this fierce battle, Lü Meng, Lü Dai, Xue Zong, and Quan Cong fully demonstrated their outstanding military talents and valiant fighting spirit. They worked closely together to gradually erode Huang Zu's forces, and the balance of victory gradually tilted towards Sun Ce's side.

Sun Ce, riding a majestic horse, led the central army to the battlefield. His spear flashed with a cold gleam, and behind him, the banner with the Chinese character "Sun" clashed resoundingly, bolstering his troops' morale. Seeing their commander in person, the soldiers erupted in enthusiasm, their shouts resonating through the heavens and earth. They wielded their weapons with even greater vigour, their offensive unleashing a fierce, overwhelming force.

Huang Zu saw Sun Ce's army pouring out, knowing the situation was hopeless. Yet, he refused to give up, struggling like a trapped animal, intent on escaping. With red eyes, he roared at the top of his lungs, "Brothers, follow me! If we get out, we'll survive!" With that, he brandished his long sword, recklessly charging towards the edge of the encirclement.

On the battlefield, shouts of killing shook the heavens, and swords flashed and gleamed. Huang Zu's general, Chen Ju, wielding a long spear, its tip gleaming coldly, rushed left and right amidst the chaos like a mad beast, forcing Sun Ce's soldiers back several steps. But as he turned, he was confronted by the god-like Wei Yan. Wei Yan's eyes widened, and he slashed down with his long sword with immense force, streaking across the battlefield like a bolt of lightning. Chen Ju's heart trembled, and he quickly raised his spear to block. A loud clang, sparks flew, and Chen Ju's knuckles cracked, his arms numb, and he could barely hold his spear. Before he could recover, Wei Yan's attack continued, his feet swift, his long sword slicing through the air in sharp arcs, each one deadly. Chen Ju gritted his teeth and resisted with all his might, sweat dripping down his forehead and his vision blurring.

Chen Ju tried to reverse the situation. With a loud shout, he thrust out the spear in his hand, the tip of the spear pointing directly at Wei Yan's chest. Wei Yan was not in a hurry. He dodged to the side and easily avoided the fierce blow. With a backhanded knife, he slashed at the wrist of Chen Ju's spear-holding hand. Chen Ju quickly drew his spear to defend himself, but Wei Yan's knife was just a feint. While Chen Ju was defending himself, Wei Yan kicked Chen Ju's horse fiercely. The horse felt the pain and raised its front hooves, knocking Chen Ju to the ground. Just as Chen Ju was about to get up, Wei Yan approached and stabbed Chen Ju's chest with his long knife. Chen Ju's eyes widened, his body slowly fell to the ground, and the spear in his hand fell to the ground with a "clang".

Elsewhere, Taishi Ci and Zhang Shuo met face to face. Zhang Shuo's eyes were fierce, and his spear, like a venomous snake emerging from a burrow, lunged for Taishi Ci's throat. The gust of wind from the spear's tip seemed to rend the air. Taishi Ci's lips curled up in a sneer of disdain. With a ghostly flicker, he easily dodged the fierce blow and, with lightning speed, fired a counter-attack aimed squarely at Zhang Shuo's throat. Zhang Shuo's pupils constricted, and he dodged sideways, but he was still a step too slow. Taishi Ci's spear pierced his shoulder, and blood gushed out, staining his clothes red. Zhang Shuo's face paled with pain, and he tried to retreat, but Taishi Ci followed him like a shadow, pressing him relentlessly. His spear danced with impenetrable force, creating a dazzling display of shadows. Zhang Shuo's defenses gradually crumbled, and finally, Taishi Ci's spear pierced his abdomen. Zhang Shuo spat out blood, collapsed to the ground, and his spear slipped from his grasp.

Liu Yao's subordinate Yu Mi was targeted by Lü Meng in the chaos. Lü Meng was like a ferocious cheetah, holding a big knife, rushing left and right all the way, and killed in front of Yu Mi. Yu Mi waved his long sword to resist, but Lü Meng's attack was like a tide, and every knife was fierce. Lü Meng shouted, raised the big knife high, and chopped it down with a thousand pounds of force. Yu Mi raised his sword to resist, and with a "clang", the blade was actually cut into a notch. Yu Mi was shocked, and before he could react, Lü Meng launched another series of attacks, the knife flashed, and it was dazzling. Yu Mi gradually lost strength and breathed rapidly. He was not careful and was caught by Lü Meng. The big knife slashed across his neck, and Yu Mi's blood splattered on the spot, and his body slowly fell to the ground.

Huang Zu was so anxious, his eyes bloodshot, that he rushed around like a madman. Suddenly, he saw a weak point in the encirclement, and a glimmer of hope ignited in his heart. He rushed there desperately, hacking and killing as he went, blood splattering all over his body, like a madman.

Sun Ce saw Huang Zu's movements from afar and snorted coldly, his eyes full of disdain. He rushed forward with his spear in hand and shouted loudly: "Huang Zu, you can't escape today!"
