Eastern Han Dynasty, not the Three Kingdoms

Chapter 30 The Proud Boy Tastes Defeat

Ma Chao hurried over to where Sun Ce and Da Qiao were. He gazed at Sun Ce with admiration in his eyes, praising him wholeheartedly, "Brother Gongjin, this amazing archery is truly eye-opening! Such incredible skill is truly rare!"

Then, his gaze was drawn to the tiger lying on the ground. The tiger was massive and majestic, and even in death, it still exuded a terrifying aura. Ma Chao couldn't help but gasp and exclaimed in shock, "This tiger is so huge! If an ordinary person had encountered it, they would probably have been killed by it long ago."

Sun Ce smiled slightly and responded modestly, "Brother Ma Chao, thank you for your compliment. It is just a coincidence."

The two men chatted happily, and the atmosphere was harmonious. After a short conversation, Sun Ce turned and ordered his servants, "Take away the tiger's body and dispose of it properly."

The servants responded and hurried into action, working together to carry the tiger's body away.

At that moment, the man who had been chasing the tiger arrived, breathless and in a hurry. His face was filled with rage, and he stopped the servants who were about to carry the tiger's body away, shouting, "Hey! You can't take this tiger away! I've been chasing it all the way, it should be mine!"

Seeing this, Ma Chao frowned slightly, a trace of dissatisfaction welling up in his heart. He stepped forward and said loudly, "Brother, if we don't shoot this tiger, who knows how many innocent people it will harm!" His voice was filled with a sense of seriousness and righteousness.

The villain glared at Ma Chao and roared unwillingly: "So what? I've been chasing it for so long, why should you get the advantage?" His face was full of self-righteousness.

Sun Ce on the side could not contain his anger, he said: "You are so unreasonable! Are other people's lives not as important as your selfish desires?" His eyes revealed anger.

Da Qiao looked at Sun Ce worriedly and said softly, "Brother Sun, don't argue with him, so as not to hurt the relationship." There was a hint of anxiety in her tone.

Sun Ce turned to look at Da Qiao and nodded slightly, signaling her not to worry. Then he faced the wretch again and said in a deep voice, "We were the ones who shot and killed this tiger today. If you continue to act recklessly, don't blame me for being rude!"

The villain raised the steel fork in his hand, his eyes wide open, and shouted: "Boy, you dare to snatch from me, today I will let you know how powerful I am!" After that, he waved the steel fork, took a stance, and looked ferocious.

Seeing this, a trace of disdain flashed in Sun Ce's eyes. He quickly drew the sword from his waist with his right hand and sneered: "Hmph, you unreasonable guy, I will teach you a lesson today!" Before he finished speaking, he flashed and swung his sword at the villain.

Ma Chao, holding a spear in hand, saw that they had already started fighting, and was afraid that something might go wrong in the fight between the two, so he stood aside to scout the battle. Sun Ce was a martial arts expert, and he was also young and arrogant, so he was afraid that Sun Ce would not be able to stop himself and hurt someone. However, this villain was able to chase a tiger across the stream, so he must be an extraordinary person, so he did not dare to be careless.

The villain quickly raised his steel fork, trying to block Sun Ce's attack. With a clang, the sword and fork collided, making a crisp sound.

Sun Ce turned his wrist and thrust his sword forward like a gust of wind, thrusting it out repeatedly, each thrust aimed at the villain's vital points. As he attacked, he shouted, "Are you still not going to admit defeat?"

The villain showed no sign of weakness, brandishing his steel pitchfork with great vigor. He shouted angrily, "I won't give in so easily!"

The two men fought back and forth, neither giving in. Sun Ce's swordsmanship was agile and varied, like a dragon emerging from the sea; the villain's steel fork was fierce and powerful, like a tiger descending from the mountains.

Sun Ce was engaged in a fierce battle with the villain. After fifty or sixty rounds, he became increasingly frightened, feeling himself to be suppressed, simply because he had no long weapon. Meanwhile, a fierce wind howled, stirring dust and sand, as if fueling the ferocious fight.

Sun Ce stared at the villain with a sharp gaze and shouted, "Brother Ma Chao, can you lend me your spear? This man is very powerful, and the short sword in my hand is at a disadvantage, making it difficult for me to exert my full strength!" His voice was loud and stirring in the strong wind.

Seeing this, Ma Chao swung his arm and quickly threw the spear towards Sun Ce. This spear was Ma Chao's tiger-head golden spear, made entirely of meteorite iron, thick and sharp.

Sun Ce caught the spear steadily and shook it, causing it to hum like a dragon emerging from the sea. His form became even more agile, and his spearmanship became more powerful, each stroke imbued with boundless power.

The villain felt Sun Ce's change, frowned slightly, and said in a deep voice: "Your weapon is really powerful, but mine is not suitable, otherwise you would have been defeated long ago!"

After saying that, the villain waved his steel fork and attacked more fiercely, starting a life-and-death battle with Sun Ce.

The wind was now even stronger, rustling the clothes of the two men. Sun Ce's spear tip gleamed coldly in the wind, like a tiger descending from the mountain, and every attack brought a fierce gust of wind.

Gradually, Sun Ce began to turn the tide by relying on his advantage in weapons.

The people around had already forgotten about returning and gathered around to watch, with exclamations and cheers coming one after another.

The scoundrel roared repeatedly, his voice like thunder, resounding through the sky. His eyes were wide open, his hair was standing on end, and veins bulged on his forehead, like an enraged lion.

He gripped the steel fork tightly with both hands, his muscles tensed, his strength instantly bursting to the fullest. His steps were steady and powerful, leaving deep footprints on the ground with each step.

Sun Ce was shocked when he saw this, but he did not retreat and fought with all his strength.

However, the villain's attack was as fierce as a tidal wave, and the steel fork in his hand whistled like a whirlwind. Although Sun Ce fought hard, he was ultimately defeated by the villain's powerful strength.

Sun Ce took a few steps back and the spear in his hand fell out of his hand.

The people around were in an uproar, marveling at the villain's bravery.

Sun Ce was young and full of vigor, and had always been quite confident in his martial arts. However, at this moment, he found it difficult to accept this reality and fell into deep self-doubt.

The villain looked at Sun Ce standing there in a daze. His pupils were bloodshot and he had forgotten his sense of proportion. He shouted arrogantly: "Haha, boy, die!" At the same time, he brandished the steel fork and stabbed it straight at Sun Ce.

Sun Ce froze in place, his mind a turmoil. He wondered, "How could I be in such a mess? Is my martial arts really that inadequate?" Even as the steel fork rapidly approached, the shadow of death looming, Sun Ce couldn't recover from his shock.

Ma Chao, who was on the side, watched the situation intently with his eyes as sharp as a torch. Seeing Sun Ce in danger, he roared, "You daring thief, stop being so arrogant!" He then grabbed the spear that had been knocked away and rushed towards the villain like a whirlwind, engaging in a fierce battle with him.

Ma Chao was extremely anxious. He knew Sun Ce was in poor condition and had to block the attack for him. He brandished his spear with a swift roar and roared, "Don't even think about hurting my brother while I'm here!"

Sun Ce finally emerged from his morass of self-doubt. Seeing Ma Chao stand up for him, he felt a surge of gratitude, yet also a surge of shame for his own cowardice. He vowed to himself to pull himself together and never again let his brothers worry about him.
