Quick Travel: Destiny for Thirty Lifetimes

Chapter 96: Fluffy Becomes a Spirit (3)

It was almost time to get off work and no one came to the store. Lin He packed up his things and helped Chi Linchen pack up the things the kitten needed and put them all in the car. Chi Linchen slowly picked up the kitten and put it on the passenger seat, putting a soft cushion under it.

After packing up, Lin He took his things and left first. Chi Linchen did not delay this time. He got off work on time and drove to his home with the kitten.

About twenty minutes later, the car was turned off. Chi Linchen first opened the back door and picked up the things in his hand. With his other hand, he opened the passenger door, leaned over, picked up the kitten, held it in his arms, closed the door and walked home.

The kitten felt the movement, opened its eyes and meowed, but due to sleepiness, its eyes could only be half open, and its voice was as soft as ever.

Chi Linchen didn't stop walking. He lowered his eyes to glance at the kitten and said in a soft voice, "We're almost home. Are you hungry?"

The kitten meowed again and buried its face in Chi Linchen's arms.

The house was rented outside Chi Linchen's school when he was a sophomore. It had one bedroom, a living room, a bathroom and a kitchen.

The house is not big, and he feels comfortable living in it alone. Now a kitten has moved in with him.

Chi Linchen put his things down, changed his shoes at the entrance, and walked into the bedroom with the kitten in his arms. He put the cat in the cat bed next to the bed, stroked its head and said softly, "I bought this cat bed yesterday. I thought you would like it."

The kitten's hind legs were strong enough to use. It stood up tremblingly and turned around in the cat bed. Then it raised its head towards Chi Linchen, its eyes shining brightly and it meowed softly. It rubbed his hand with the side of its cheek to express its satisfaction.

Chi Linchen curled his lips into a smile, cupped the kitten's face with both hands, nudged it with the tip of his nose, and said, "Our Liuli is such a cute boy." He then let it go and stood up, going to the closet to get his clothes. He lowered his head and looked at the kitten that followed him, rubbing against his ankles and meowing, and smiled helplessly, "I'm going to take a bath, you go stay in the nest first."

This time, the kitten seemed not to understand what he was saying. It looked up at him with confused eyes, its body always pressed against the edge of his shoes.

He walked quickly out of the bedroom and went to the bathroom, closing and locking the door before Kitty could trot over.

After coming out, he didn't see the kitten. He called its name and looked for it but couldn't find it. When he went to the bedroom to get a hair dryer to blow dry his hair, a kitten came out from under the pillow, stretched out its claws, hooked the bath towel that covered half of his body from behind, and then hung it up with force.

Chi Linchen felt the bath towel behind him fall slightly. When he turned around, he saw the kitten clinging to his bath towel, eager to climb onto his shoulders.

The two palm-sized kittens were not heavy enough to pull his towel off, but their shaky appearance scared him. Chi Linchen turned off the hair dryer, reached down and grabbed the cats in his hands.

He grabbed the kitten and brought it close to his face, tapped its nose, and asked, "What bad things are you going to do, little pervert?"

The kitten retracted its claws and climbed its two front paws onto the boy's face. After being lifted closer by the boy, the kitten struggled to reach his neck, buried its head behind his neck, took a deep breath, and cried out in satisfaction.

Chi Linchen was startled by the kitten's actions. The kitten was obviously smelling his pheromones just now. He himself could smell a faint scent, but the kitten actually liked it so much.

I picked up the kitten from behind its neck and put it in my hand. It was already a little dazed by the smell and fell asleep in an instant with a soft "meow".

The drooping head made Chi Linchen laugh. He gently put the kitten into the nest and went to the kitchen to cook dinner.

After finishing his meal and cleaning up and returning to his room, Chi Linchen saw Tuanzi sleeping on the pillow at a glance.

It curled up into a ball, rested its tail under its chin, and slept soundly with its head tilted.

Seeing this, Chi Linchen's heart softened. He walked a few steps to the bed, turned off the light and got into bed. After lying down, he carefully moved his head to the side of the pillow and closed his eyes. Only two shallow breathing sounds could be heard in the quiet air.

The kitten has been working with Chi Linchen for a week. Recently, it likes to wrap its body around the back of Chi Linchen's neck. Fortunately, the store has air conditioning, so Chi Linchen doesn't feel too stuffy in the summer wearing a "scarf".

Lin He was surprised at first, but now he is no longer surprised. In fact, there are a lot more customers in the store in the past week, and many of them come to see the kitten in the scarf.

A few days ago, a pet blogger came to the store and accidentally recorded a scene of a small Sanhua pet wrapped around the neck of a handsome guy, which attracted many people nearby to come and visit. During the visit, someone even asked Chi Linchen if he had an account for the small Sanhua pet.

When it was almost the end of another get off work day, Lin He had just finished entertaining a group of people. These visitors didn't want to leave the store empty-handed, so they would buy some daily necessities for their pets before leaving. The sales of items had increased a lot in recent days.

"Hey, Brother Chen, why don't you create an account to record Liuli? I think it's quite popular. Some people even think it's cute when it shows its teeth." Lin He stretched and prepared to pack up and go home.

Chi Linchen couldn't stop the business from coming to the store, so he tacitly allowed those people to come and surround the kitten and look at him these days. However, the kitten's fur had been ruffling more and more frequently recently, and he didn't want to leave it alone at home.

He was silent for a moment, then turned to ask Lin He, "Will posting it online make those people come to see Liuli less?"

Lin He looked up and replied, "It should be possible. Besides, Liuli will become popular later. Maybe we can buy cat food online, which will help boost the store's sales."

Chi Linchen always had a smile on his face before, but these past few days, except for showing a business smile, he couldn't smile at other times. He frowned when he heard it. He didn't want to make money with glass at all, but posting glass on the Internet was a better way.

"Tell those people tomorrow that they can follow the account to watch Liuli's videos and photos, and don't just run to the store. It's a waste of time." This was said in a considerate way, and only Chi Linchen understood the polite refusal.

As soon as the "Liuli Tuanzi" account was registered, it gained dozens of fans before even releasing any works. They were all people who frequently came to the store to see Liuli.

Chi Linchen breathed a sigh of relief. He sat in the store and saw that the customer flow was normal today. He took the kitten off the back of its neck with his backhand, held it in his arms and played with it for a while, then took out his mobile phone to take a picture of the kitten being rubbed obediently and uploaded it to his newly registered account.

The text reads: "A little calico that has been rubbed to the point of losing its temper."

As soon as it was posted, several comments came out.

"So cute, so cute, such a good baby."

"As expected, he only recognizes his master and will behave himself no matter how much he is abused."

"Where's your arrogance, little bad cat?"

"How can you bully a kitten like this? Where is your morality? Where is your conscience? Where is your address?"

"I don't like this cat because it's not mine."

"Did no one notice the owner's hand? It's so beautiful. It looks so harmonious on the kitten. I really like the kitten's color."

"Hi, the last commenter still likes kittens after following them all."

After sending the message, Chi Linchen closed the app and put his phone in his pocket. The kitten healed his mood, so he let the kitten climb onto the back of his neck, put on a smile, and stood up to serve the customers.
