It's not too late to meet in the book

Moonlight barely penetrated the thick clouds, casting a dappled light and shadow. Renault stood at the dimly lit hospital entrance, his phone screen displaying Wang Jing's final message: "Save me..." Those two brief words struck Renault's heart like a hammer, instantly draining him of all blood.

He clenched his fists, his fingertips turning white from the strain. An unprecedented wave of anxiety and fear welled up within him. Not long ago, he had been poisoned in an accident and hadn't fully recovered yet, but now, none of that seemed to matter. Wang Jing, the girl he loved so deeply, was in danger. How could he sit idly by?

Renault took a deep breath, trying to calm his inner panic. After hanging up, he turned and ran towards his car without hesitation, each step firm, despite the slight tremor from the poison.

Inside the car, Renault sped away while trying to contact Wang Jing, but no one answered. He stared ahead, his eyes revealing determination and anxiety, his hands gripping the steering wheel tightly, his fingertips drumming with nervousness. As the scenery outside the car window rapidly receded, Renault had only one thought in mind: find Wang Jing as soon as possible and ensure her safety.

"Wang Jing, you must hold on, I'll be there soon." Renault prayed silently in his heart. Although his voice was small, it was full of power.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the city, in an abandoned warehouse, Wang Jing was tied to a worn chair. Surrounded by darkness, only a single dim light barely illuminated the space. Her face was etched with fear and helplessness, yet her eyes still gleamed with an unyielding spirit.

"Who are you? Why did you kidnap me?" Wang Jing tried her best to remain calm, but her voice was a little hoarse due to being restrained for a long time.

One of the kidnappers, a masked man, sneered, "Hmph, you want to know? Wait until your boyfriend gets here, and he'll tell you."

Wang Jing's heart sank. Renault? They'd actually dragged Renault into this? She felt a mixture of emotions, worried about Renault's safety but also afraid she'd become a burden to him.

Time seemed to freeze at this moment, each second stretching to an agonizing length. Wang Jing struggled to break free, but the ropes were too tight, and her efforts seemed futile. She closed her eyes, trying to calm herself and think about possible escapes.

Just then, hurried footsteps were heard outside the warehouse, followed by the sound of a metal door being violently slammed. Wang Jing opened her eyes suddenly, and an inexplicable hope surged in her heart.

"Wang Jing! I'm here!" Renault's voice penetrated the darkness like a ray of light, illuminating the fear in Wang Jing's heart.

The kidnappers were clearly not expecting Renault to show up so soon, and for a moment they were in a state of panic. Renault seized the opportunity to enter, his eyes piercing as he quickly scanned the surroundings, searching for Wang Jing. When he saw Wang Jing tied to a chair, his eyes instantly blazed with anger.

"Let her go!" Renault's voice was low and powerful, and every word revealed unquestionable majesty.

Seeing this, the kidnappers drew their weapons in an attempt to intimidate Renault. But Renault did not retreat. He slowly moved forward, his eyes fixed on Wang Jing, as if they were the only two people left in the world.

"Renault, be careful!" Wang Jing shouted anxiously. She didn't want Renault to be hurt because of her.

Renault turned to look at Wang Jing, a hint of tenderness and determination flashed in his eyes: "Don't be afraid, I will take you away from here."

Afterwards, he quickly assessed the surrounding environment and looked for the best rescue plan. After a fierce battle of wits and fighting, Renault finally succeeded in subduing the kidnappers and rescuing Wang Jing.

When Wang Jing was held tightly in Renault's arms, all her fear and anxiety instantly vanished. She looked up at Renault, her eyes moist and her voice choked with sobs: "Reinault, thank you. I'm so lucky to have you."

Renault gently wiped away the tears from Wang Jing's eyes and said softly, "Silly girl, I won't let you get hurt again. Let's go. It's not safe here."

The two walked out of the warehouse together. In the moonlight, their figures were stretched out, as if telling the story of this extraordinary experience. The relationship between Renault and Wang Jing was also sublimated at this moment, becoming more solid and indestructible.

"From now on, no matter what happens, we will face it together." Wang Jing held Renault's hand tightly with a firm tone.

Renault nodded, his eyes flashing with tenderness and determination: "Of course, my world is complete because of you. No matter when and where, I will protect you."
