It's not too late to meet in the book

The night was as dark as ink, and the streets of the small town were deserted. Only the occasional sound of the wind and the barking of dogs in the distance broke the silence.

Su Xiaoxiao, Lin Yu and Li Ming, carrying the secret records about the Gate of Time and Space, hurriedly shuttled through the narrow alleys. Their heartbeats were like drumbeats, interweaving with the sound of their footsteps into a tense melody.

"We have to hurry. They must have discovered our whereabouts." Su Xiaoxiao lowered her voice, her tone filled with undeniable anxiety. Her long hair fluttered in the night breeze, and her eyes gleamed with determination.

Lin Yu followed closely behind, his eyes quickly scanning the surroundings, trying to find a place to hide. "It's not safe here. We need to find a hidden place to hide temporarily."

Su Xiaoxiao weaved through the narrow alleys, her figure elusive and ghostly. She kept looking back, trying to locate her pursuer. However, under the cover of darkness, the pursuer seemed to blend into the night, becoming elusive.

"Huh...Huh..." Su Xiaoxiao gasped, her heart beating like a drum, almost jumping out of her chest. She knew she couldn't stop. If she stopped, she would be arrested.

At that moment, a dark figure suddenly rushed out from the front, heading straight for Su Xiaoxiao. Startled, she dodged quickly. However, due to the speed, she slipped and nearly fell.

"Be careful!" A familiar voice suddenly sounded, and then an arm held her firmly.

Su Xiaoxiao looked up and saw Lin Yu standing beside her, his eyes full of concern and worry. "Are you okay?"

Su Xiaoxiao shook her head and looked at him gratefully. "Thank you, I'm fine."

However, at the moment they spoke, several members of a mysterious organization surrounded them from all directions, with coldness and cruelty flashing in their eyes.

"You can't escape, so just surrender!" a leading member said coldly.

Su Xiaoxiao and Lin Yu looked at each other, knowing that this battle was inevitable. So they dodged quickly, waving their weapons and engaging in a fierce battle with the members of the mysterious organization.

The flashes of swords and sabers flashed in the narrow alleys, and the air was filled with murderous intent. "We have to leave here and find a safer place." Lin Yu said breathlessly. He had many injuries on his body, but his eyes were still firm.

Su Xiaoxiao nodded and looked around, trying to find a way to escape. However, the alleys around her were like a maze, dazzling.

"Follow me!" At this moment, a familiar voice suddenly rang out. They looked in the direction of the voice and saw Li Ming standing in a corner not far away, holding a map in his hand, his eyes gleaming with wisdom.

"Did you find a way out?" Su Xiaoxiao asked in surprise.

Li Ming nodded. "There's a secret passage here that leads to a dense forest outside the town. Let's go!"

After saying that, he led Su Xiaoxiao and Lin Yu through the narrow alley quickly and came to a hidden corner. He gently pushed aside a stone slab, revealing a narrow passage. The three of them got in without hesitation and began a new escape journey.

The passage was pitch black, illuminated only by their oil lamps. They walked cautiously, fearing they might trigger a trap. Fortunately, however, they made it through the passage and arrived in a dense forest outside the town.

The dense forest is full of lush trees and dense branches and leaves, like a natural barrier, and there is an abandoned warehouse inside.
