It's not too late to meet in the book

A tense atmosphere permeated the classroom. The just-concluded exam was like a boulder dropped into a calm lake, sending ripples surging through it. Students gathered in small groups, excitedly and anxiously discussing their grades and rankings. Lei Xiaoyue and Lin Yuxuan were among them, their eyes a mixture of anticipation and apprehension.

Teacher Li, our homeroom teacher, walked into the classroom with a stack of test papers. Her steps were steady, but each one seemed to tread on the students' hearts. The classroom instantly became quiet, and even the sound of breathing became particularly clear.

"The results of this exam are out." Teacher Li's voice was calm but powerful. "Let me first read out the names of the top ten students."

The students waited with bated breath, and Lei Xiaoyue and Lin Yuxuan unconsciously clenched their fists. They all knew that this exam was of great significance to the academic competition in the class.

"First place, Lin Yuxuan, 98 points." As soon as Teacher Li finished speaking, applause broke out in the classroom. Lin Yuxuan smiled, but then became a little reserved. He knew this was just the beginning.

"Second place, Lei Xiaoyue, 97 points." Teacher Li turned his gaze to Lei Xiaoyue with a hint of admiration. Lei Xiaoyue also smiled, but her eyes revealed a spirit of not giving up.

Lei Xiaoyue nodded. She knew that Lin Yuxuan was right. Competition was not terrible. What was terrible was losing the motivation and goal to move forward.

"We are both competitors and best friends," Lin Yuxuan continued. "We can learn from each other and help each other in our studies. Only in this way can we make progress together."

The students around me were also enthusiastically discussing their grades and rankings. Some beamed with joy at their improved grades, while others frowned at their declining ones. But regardless, they all understood one thing: learning is a never-ending competition.

"Did you hear? Lin Yuxuan and Lei Xiaoyue set new records in this exam," a classmate said excitedly. "They're truly the pride of our class!"

"Yeah, they've both always been excellent," another classmate agreed. "But I can't fall too far behind. I have to work hard to catch up with them."

Amidst the discussions among their classmates, Lei Xiaoyue and Lin Yuxuan felt the competitive pressure from their class. However, they also understood that this pressure was not a burden, but a driving force for progress.

"Xiao Yue, why can't I solve this math problem?" Lin Yuxuan looked at a difficult problem with a frown.
