It's not too late to meet in the book

As the autumn breeze gently caressed the school's playground, the annual sports meet was in full swing. Colorful flags fluttered, cheers and laughter echoed throughout the playground, creating a scene brimming with youthful energy. Lei Xiaoyue and Lin Yuxuan, two energetic children, also showcased their talents at the meet.

Lei Xiaoyue signed up for a rope skipping competition. This was her first time participating in such a group event, and she felt both nervous and excited. "Ouch!" Lei Xiaoyue shouted in frustration. She looked at her teammates who stopped because of her mistakes, and her heart was filled with guilt.

"It's okay, Xiaoyue, we still have a chance!" Captain Xiaoli quickly regrouped the team, encouraging everyone to cheer up. Lei Xiaoyue looked at her teammates' determined eyes, and a warm feeling welled up in her heart. She took a deep breath and threw herself back into the game.

However, despite their efforts to catch up, they ultimately failed to achieve the desired results because of that mistake. After the game, Lei Xiaoyue lowered her head silently, tears welling up in her eyes.

"Xiaoyue, don't be sad, you've tried your best." Teacher Zhang came over and gently patted Lei Xiaoyue's shoulder. Her gentle words were like a ray of sunshine, warming Lei Xiaoyue's heart.

"But, teacher, I've been a burden to everyone..." Lei Xiaoyue said with a sob.

"Oh my!" There was an exclamation from the audience, and everyone was worried about Lin Yuxuan.

Lin Yuxuan lay on the ground, feeling a sharp pain in his knee. He looked up at the finish line, a strong sense of unwillingness welling up in his heart. However, at this moment, he heard his classmates cheering: "Lin Yuxuan, come on! Stand up!"

Lin Yuxuan took a deep breath, endured the pain, supported himself with his hands, and slowly stood up. His knees were bruised, but he didn't give up. Instead, he gritted his teeth and continued running towards the finish line.

Although Lin Yuxuan didn't win the championship, his persistence and courage won everyone's respect and applause. When he reached the finish line, his classmates gathered around him, some handed him towels, and some offered words of encouragement.

"Lin Yuxuan, you are awesome! Although you didn't get first place, your spirit is worth learning from!" Class monitor Xiaojie patted Lin Yuxuan on the shoulder, his eyes full of admiration.

After the sports meeting, Lei Xiaoyue and Lin Yuxuan met on the playground. They looked at each other with a determined look in their eyes.
