It's not too late to meet in the book

As night fell, the clamor of the birthday party died down, and the home returned to its former tranquility, albeit with a touch of fatigue and contentment. In the living room, the colorful balloons and streamers still hung, but the children were no longer chasing and playing. On the dining table, the remaining cake crumbs and unfinished juice bore witness to the joyous occasion, yet now it seemed strangely silent.

Lei Xiaoyue and Lin Yuxuan, the two birthday boys, had already exhausted all their energy. Curled up on the sofa, their eyelids heavy and their breathing even, they had already fallen asleep. Smiles still lingered on their faces, as if they were dreaming of a happy party.

Lei Nuo gently lifted Lei Xiaoyue into his arms. Her body was limp, completely devoid of the lively energy she had during the day. He cautiously walked towards the bedroom, fearing to disturb her innocent sleep. Wang Jing followed behind him, holding Lin Yuxuan's coat, ready to cover them with it in case of a chilly night.

"They had so much fun, it was worth it even though I was so tired." Renault said softly, his eyes full of pampering.

Wang Jing smiled and replied, "Yes, the children's happiness is our happiness. Seeing them sleeping so soundly, I feel relieved."

In the bedroom, Lei Nuo gently placed Lei Xiaoyue on the bed, tucked her in, and carefully adjusted the pillow to ensure she slept comfortably. Wang Jing did the same for Lin Yuxuan. Their movements were gentle and skillful, full of love for their child.

In the living room, Su Xiaoxiao and Lin Yu were helping to clean up the mess. They chatted while putting scattered toys and tableware back in their places, occasionally laughing out loud because of some funny memories, but they always kept their voices low so as not to disturb the children's sleep.

"It's so lively today. I haven't been this happy in a long time." Su Xiaoxiao said with a smile, holding a balloon in her hand and patting it gently.

Lin Yu nodded and smiled: "Yes, watching them play so crazy, I feel like I'm back to my childhood. But now I'm really tired."

As he spoke, he stretched and rubbed his sore shoulders. Seeing this, Su Xiaoxiao said with concern: "You should also go and have a rest. I will take care of the rest."

Lin Yu shook his head and insisted: "It's okay, let's finish it together. Anyway, I don't have to go to school tomorrow, so it doesn't matter if I sleep late."

The two continued to work, occasionally exchanging knowing smiles. A warm and relaxed atmosphere permeated the air. After Renault and Wang Jing emerged from the bedroom, they also joined in the cleanup. The four of them divided the work and worked together efficiently.

"I didn't expect that the children were so energetic when playing. We adults can hardly keep up." Renault joked with a smile.

Wang Jing continued, "Yes, it seems we need to exercise more in the future, otherwise we won't even be able to accompany the children."

Su Xiaoxiao and Lin Yu laughed when they heard this, and the atmosphere became more harmonious. As they chatted, they put the last toy back in its place, and the living room was finally tidy again.

"Okay, finally finished cleaning up." Lin Yu wiped his hands and breathed a sigh of relief.

Su Xiaoxiao looked at the time and said in surprise: "Wow, is it already so late? Time flies."

Renault suggested: "Why don't you stay home tonight? We have plenty of rooms at home, so it's not too late to stay overnight."

Wang Jing also agreed: "Yeah, it's not safe to go back so late, let's just stay here for one night."

Su Xiaoxiao and Lin Yu smiled at each other and said gratefully, "Okay, thank you for your help."

The four of them walked to the sofa in the living room, ready to sit down and chat, enjoying this rare quiet time. Renault took out a few bottles of drinks from the refrigerator and distributed them to everyone. Everyone's face was filled with a relaxed and happy smile.

"Today is such an unforgettable day. Thank you for your company." Lei Xiaoyue's voice suddenly sounded at the bedroom door. She rubbed her eyes and walked out in a daze.

Everyone looked at her in surprise, then burst into laughter. Wang Jing quickly stepped forward, hugged her in her arms, and asked softly, "Xiaoyue, why are you awake? Did we disturb you?"

Lei Xiaoyue shook her head and said vaguely: "No, I just want to drink water."

Renault quickly handed her a glass of warm water. She gulped down a few sips, then yawned again and said, "I still want to sleep. Good night."

After saying that, she turned and walked back to the bedroom, leaving behind a series of brisk footsteps. Everyone looked at her back and laughed, their hearts filled with warmth.

"Children are always so innocent and cute that people can't help but want to protect them." Su Xiaoxiao said with emotion.

Lin Yu nodded and added: "Yes, watching them grow up day by day, we grow up with them. It feels really good."

Lei Nuo and Wang Jing smiled at each other, their hearts filled with gratitude. They knew that this family had become warmer and happier because of the company of these children and friends.

"Okay, let's go to bed early." Renault suggested.

Everyone nodded in agreement and stood up to go back to their rooms to rest. Before parting, they said goodnight to each other, and a warm and peaceful atmosphere filled the air.

"Good night, sweet dreams." Wang Jing's voice sounded gently, bringing the day to a perfect end.
