Three Women in the Cage

Chapter 139 Grandma is Here

As the green train slowly disappeared from sight and went further and further away, Father Yang's eyes finally reddened. However, he was afraid that others would see him, so he tried hard to hold back his tears! He only quietly wiped the corners of his eyes with his hand when he turned his head!

This was the first time they were separated. They were so old and had thought they would have many children and grandchildren and enjoy the happiness of family life, but in the end, they ended up in this way. Not only did they not enjoy the happiness, but they had to endure such separation!

He murmured, "One mother can raise ten sons, but ten sons can hardly raise one mother." He shook his head, forced a bitter smile, and walked back the way he came with unsteady steps!

Mother Yang sat on the train, watching the familiar figures outside gradually blur, sobbing softly with tears in her eyes! This was her first time riding a train, her first time leaving the old house where she had lived for most of her life, her first time leaving her husband, and her first time going to a strange place. She felt a mixture of reluctance to leave her husband and her joy at her third son's success! With mixed emotions, she was gradually carried further and further away by the train!

Ma Mei didn't tell Huanhuan too much about adult matters. She looked down at her watch and exclaimed in surprise, "Oh my! Look at me, still chatting with you. It's already four o'clock. I have to hurry to pick up your grandma. I'm afraid she'll be waiting at the train station!"

After saying that, she hurriedly picked up her small bag, held her stomach and walked out the door, while walking, she did not forget to remind the front desk to supervise hygiene!

After Ma Mei left, Yaya ran over excitedly and said, "Sister, is grandma really here? That's great! I haven't seen grandma in a long time!"

They were raised by their grandmother since they were young, and they have a very deep affection for her. When they think that they have another relative in this strange city, their hearts are filled with joy!

"Well, my aunt went to pick me up, and we will have dinner together in the evening!" Huanhuan said happily!

Suddenly, I felt a sense of loss again. "Grandpa was left in the old house and couldn't come with me! Oh, it would be great if Grandpa could come too!"

They don’t understand the calculations between adults. They just think that no matter where grandpa and grandma are, they should be together instead of being separated by thousands of miles!

Soon it was five o'clock in the afternoon, but more and more people came to the Internet cafe. They were obviously students from nearby universities or high schools. When school was over, they came to the bar in groups of three or four!

Huanhuan and Yaya only need to clean the place and then they can go home. However, when there are many people in the afternoon, cleaning becomes cumbersome!

Looking at the crowded Internet cafe, the two sisters didn't know where to start. At this time, two people who were on shift at the front desk walked in!

It turned out that the night shift was busy, so people were assigned to the front desk and the bar. Two young girls looked at the two sisters holding brooms and asked curiously, "Are you new to the cleaning staff? You're too young!"

Another echoed, "Exactly! Isn't this child labor? Where did they get them? They don't look local!"

Before they could reply, Li Li came over first and said hurriedly, "Don't guess, the boss lady brought it here! She said she owed someone a favor, so someone else stuffed it in here! Forget about them, just come over and hand it over to me quickly, I'm waiting to get off work!"

The two looked at each other, nodded in understanding, and then went to the front desk to hand over!

The two sisters didn't even have time to say a word before they were treated as idle chatter! Huanhuan lowered her head, her heart filled with loneliness and embarrassment!

Yaya particularly hated their behavior of talking about others in front of them, but she couldn't get angry on the spot, so she had to pick up the rag and broom and head towards the cleaning area with a gloomy face!

Because the place was full of people, it was always inconvenient to move around. The work that should have been completed in an hour took two and a half hours to complete!

When they came out of the Internet cafe, it was already dark. But Ma Mei hadn't told them the time and place to eat before she left, and now she hadn't come to pick them up. Standing at the door, they didn't know what to do.

Yaya was confused and asked, "Sister, she didn't even tell you where to eat? What should we do now? Should we walk back or continue waiting?"

Huanhuan hesitated. "How about we wait for half an hour? If she still doesn't come to pick us up, we can just walk back?"

Yaya had no choice but to stand at the door with her sister and wait foolishly. They were dressed very shabbily and looked out of place at the door where people were coming and going!

Because they don't fit in, they often become the focus of others. Anyone passing by will look at them curiously!

They were waiting in confusion, accepting the different looks from people, and suddenly they felt that they were neither standing nor sitting, and became cramped!

But time passes so slowly. I always think that a long time has passed, but when I look back at the clock on the wall, only a quarter of a second has passed!

Feeling anxious and restless, I looked at the swaying figures in the distance, always hoping that the next one would be my aunt!

But they looked so hard, but they didn't see the familiar figure, and finally felt disappointed. Yaya really hated this kind of waiting and couldn't help but said, "Sister, I'm really tired of waiting. Why don't we stop waiting and just eat something on the way and go back!"

Huanhuan disagreed, "No, grandma's here, we have to go anyway! Didn't we say we'd wait half an hour? Just be patient!"

Yaya said impatiently, "Wait, wait, you're always waiting. I waited for her all afternoon with an empty stomach today, and now you want me to wait too at night? How long do I have to wait? I'm already very hungry..."

She hadn't eaten much in the afternoon, so she was already hungry! But damn, they had planned to have dinner together in the evening, but why did it have to be so late? If it weren't for grandma, she wouldn't have wanted to wait even a minute!

On the other side, Ma Mei had already picked up Yang's mother and took her to find a restaurant. Because it was not convenient to take Yang's mother around and she felt that she was too heavy, she called Yang Ming and asked him to pick up Huanhuan and Yaya after get off work!

As luck would have it, Yang Ming was called to a meeting by the principal just as he was getting off work! Once he got into work mode, he became so focused that he forgot Ma Mei's instructions!

After the meeting, I hurried to the restaurant and found that two people were missing. I hurriedly asked Ma Mei, "Why didn't you bring anything for Huanhuan and Yaya?"

Ma Mei was puzzled. "Didn't I call you to bring her here? It's inconvenient for me to take my mom with me, so why didn't you go to pick her up? Oh no, it's already this late, I'm afraid they must have gone back on their own!"

Yang Ming then slapped his forehead and said, "Oh no! It's my fault. I had a last-minute meeting and forgot everything! Come on, I'll go pick them up!"

As he spoke, he walked towards the door!

Just when Huanhuan and Yaya were at a stalemate, Yang Ming's anxious voice finally came, "Hanhuan, Yaya! Over here!"

As soon as Yang Ming got out of the car, he saw the two sisters dragging each other at the door. It was obvious that they had an argument. Fearing that they would have a conflict, he hurriedly shouted and waved to them!
