Spoiled after marriage

Chapter 9 You can go with peace of mind

The two of them stood face to face on the bed for more than ten seconds before Sheng Yan turned over and went to the bathroom. As soon as he left, Xia Kui covered herself with the quilt in frustration, feeling extremely embarrassed.

Sheng Yan came out and saw the person hiding under the covers on the bed. How could he still be shy? He walked to the bed and sat down. "Mrs. Sheng, are you playing the ostrich?"

Xia Kui: ...What are you showing off for, you bastard!

Ignoring his ridicule, she threw back the quilt and hurried to the bathroom. Seeing this, Sheng Yan's mouth curled up and he chuckled as he looked at her back.

In the restaurant, the couple who were eating didn't speak. Xia Kui lowered her head and drank her porridge, looking a little absent-minded.

When she looked up, she met his gaze. Sheng Yan, dressed in home clothes, asked casually, "Why are you drunk?"

"Happy" Xia Kui continued to eat breakfast with her head down.

Sheng Yan raised his eyelids: Happy? You hugged me and cried in my arms? "What made Mrs. Sheng so happy? Alcoholism?"

"You," Xia Kui was so angry that she didn't want to pay attention to him.

Sheng Yan: “Hmm?”

Xia Kui: "My best friend got proposed to, so I drank a couple more glasses of joy."

Sheng Yan was amused. "You are so happy that she was proposed to?"

"What do you know?" Xia Kui ignored him. The two were arguing when Sheng Yan's phone rang. He hung up after a few simple words.

Sheng Yan glanced at her and said nothing more. Instead, he asked Butler Qin to pack his luggage as he was going on a business trip for a few days.

"Thank you for last night," Xia Kui said suddenly. Sheng Yan pursed his lips and asked, "Mrs. Sheng, how are you going to thank me?"

"You said" Xia Kui didn't want to owe others a favor,

"Uncle Qin, you don't have to clean up. You clean up for me." Sheng Yan continued without any hesitation, "I'm away on business for a few days, so I'll leave the house to Mrs. Sheng."

Xia Kui: "Okay, go ahead and don't worry."

Sheng Yan: ...

The two of them exchanged glances, competing secretly, and their words were more vicious than the other.

In the bedroom, Xia Kui looked at his suitcase, not knowing how to pack it, and turned to him and asked, "What clothes do you usually wear?"

She didn't know this because every time she saw him, he was in a suit and tie.

Sheng Yan walked over and looked down at her embarrassed expression. "Isn't it a wife's job to pack her husband's luggage? You ask me?"

Xia Kui looked at him in confusion and said, "We are not real husband and wife, you can clean it up yourself." As she was about to leave, Sheng Yan grabbed her wrist.

"you"

"Pack up quickly"

Xia Kui reluctantly went to the cloakroom to pack his clothes. The man's clothes were either black or white, and she didn't know where to start.

The man leaned against the doorway and watched her pack. Xia Kui brought him a shirt, a suit, and pajamas. She glanced at the person next to her and asked, "You can take that yourself," referring to his underwear.

Sheng Yan didn't move and let her continue. Xia Kui wanted to beat him up. Just take it!

"Okay, check for yourself if you see anything missing." Xia Kui packed up her things and said to him, then prepared to leave.

"Come here." Xia Kui was about to leave when he called her, so she had to turn around to see what he was going to say.

Sheng Yan walked over and glared at her, "Mrs. Sheng, are you so reluctant?"

Xia Kui cursed him in her heart, and silently persuaded herself not to be angry, "I have already cleaned it up, are you done yet?" It was really annoying. He only took care of her for one night, and she still suffered a loss.

Sheng Yan reached out and lifted her chin. "If you don't know how to drink, don't drink. I'm not home. Mrs. Sheng, please restrain yourself."

Xia Kui slapped his hand away and stormed out.

Whenever Sheng Yan went on a business trip, Xia Kui went back to live with her parents and only returned to Sheng Garden after the National Day holiday.

After get off work in the evening, Xia Kui ate the meal made by the housekeeper and had to say it was delicious. "Uncle Qin, you are such a good cook."

Butler Qin said respectfully, "Madam, you are so kind. Tomorrow, do you have any special dishes you want to eat? I will buy them and cook them for you."

Xia Kui thought for a moment and said, "Let's make a fish," and continued to eat.

Butler Qin agreed and stopped disturbing her while she was eating.

I have to say it’s really good that Sheng Yan is not at home. There are delicious foods and money to spend. The most important thing is that there is no man to look after her and she doesn’t have to warm the bed. Xia Kui was so happy thinking about it.

Sheng Yan, who was far away on the other side of the ocean, had no idea that he was being disliked. Since he went on a business trip, the two had never been in contact.

He still learned from Butler Qin that Xia Kui went home to live during the National Day holiday. The two of them had not spoken to each other on the phone, and Xia Kui would not call him.

Xia Kui, who was reading a book, received a call from her best friend, asking her to go out and have fun. She told her that she would be there soon and went to change her clothes.

Xia Kui packed up and went downstairs to the living room. Butler Qin saw her about to leave and asked, "Madam, are you going out?"

"My best friend has an appointment, so I have to go out for a while," Xia Kui said and was about to leave.

Butler Qin glanced at the time and saw that it was already nine o'clock. He hurriedly said, "It's too late. Let the driver take you there." He called the villa's driver and told him to bring his wife back safely.

Xia Kui had never ridden in the family car before. If Sheng Yan hadn't told her, she wouldn't have considered herself the hostess, so she had always taken a taxi or bus to work. This was her first time going to the old house.

The driver was tall and thin, about thirty years old. Xia Kui was about to refuse when she heard the man say, "Madam, please."

Xia Kui said lightly, "Thank you for your hard work." The man said it was not hard and extended his hand to make a gesture of invitation.

No one spoke on the way, and soon the car arrived at Miss Bar. Song Qiao had already ordered some wine and was waiting for her.

"Moon"

"Jojo"

The two sisters sat together, enjoying cocktails and fruit snacks, feeling comfortable and relaxed, while a resident singer sang.

"Here, cheers"

Listening to the song, Song Qiao said, "Yueya, your singing is not as good as mine."

Xia Kui took a sip of the wine in her hand and said softly, "You sing beautifully too."

Under the dim lights, the two people were chatting happily. The bar owner was a nice guy and also owned a music shop. He knew Xia Kui and she had been to the shop to look at music before.

Not far from them, Gu Jun was drinking with his friends, and Xia Kui didn't know him.

"Teacher Xia, Miss Song" a thirty-year-old man came over to greet them. It was the boss.

"Mr. Zhao" Xia Kui and Song Qiao looked up at the same time. The man was about 180cm tall, very gentlemanly, giving people a gentle and elegant feeling.

"Two beauties, it's rare for you to come here. Teacher Xia, why don't you come up and sing?" Mr. Zhao also had someone send new cocktails and food and invited Xia Kui to sing.

Xia Kui sings very well. She can be seen at the university's school social activities and New Year's Eve parties. She was the first to sing a solo at the graduation ceremony.

She wanted to refuse, but Song Qiao said excitedly, "Baby, go up and sing, I want to listen." As for Song Qiao, Xia Kui usually agrees to any request.

Mr. Zhao waved his hand and the singer on the stage was replaced.

Xia Kui sang on the stage in a black suit and white shirt, wearing frameless glasses. Just standing there, she looked like a husband.

Gu Yun, who was not far away, looked at the singing woman and sent a message: Ah Yan, I saw Mrs. Sheng.

One minute later, Sheng Yan: Where?

Gu Yun: Clear it up.

Sheng Yan: ...Before he could doubt it, Gu Yun sent him another video.

Xia Kui was singing Jay Chou's "The Longest Movie". Her high-pitched voice was full of fatalism, and the high note at the end sounded like a shout and a whimper.

Whether it is European and American style or folk tunes, Xia Kui can easily handle it. Song Qiao in the audience is her loyal fan and even blew her kisses and applauded.

It was afternoon in Germany. The man had just finished lunch and was looking at the woman singing in the video with a deep gaze. Sheng Yan wanted to send her a message but found that they hadn't added each other on WeChat yet.

In Sheng Garden, Xia Kui returned home after ten o'clock. She didn't drink much today, but Butler Qin still brought her some sobering soup.

The next morning, Xia Kui was still having breakfast when Sheng Rong sent the housekeeper over and asked her to go to the old house.
