Quick Wear: My hair changed color, and I became stronger
Chapter 191 Joke
Chi Li nodded, very good, very suitable as the male protagonist's name.
"I met him online. He always encouraged me when I was sad. This is the first time we met offline." He Ya chattered on and on.
Chi Li nodded frequently.
He Ya suddenly paused. She said cautiously, "When you were possessed by the ghost, you did a lot of unwise things. I secretly told him bad things about you."
"It's okay, just explain it clearly." Chi Li patted the back of her hand gently.
"Well, I explained it." He Ya said.
But Jiang Hanmo’s response may not be ideal.
He Ya took out her cell phone and looked through the chat history. The words on Jiang Hanmo's page were very conspicuous.
She farted!
He Ya did not reply. When they met, Jiang Hanmo would definitely understand how kind Chi Li was.
The car turned several corners on the narrow road, and finally, it slowly turned into a dark alley and stopped with a slight brake sound.
The two men opened the car door and got out.
The courtyard wall in front of me had mostly collapsed, with bricks and stones scattered across the ground. The gate hung askew from its frame, as if it would fall at any moment. The yard was overgrown with weeds, almost obscuring the original path.
Chi Li was silent for a moment, then asked doubtfully, "Is this where people live?"
He Ya opened the map, followed the icon around, and confirmed, "It is indeed here."
"Going in?" Chi Li asked.
He Ya nodded, and the two walked into the yard hand in hand.
"Fortunately, the door didn't fall off." Chi Li said with lingering fear.
The door was made of rotten wooden boards and creaked in the breeze, but it was still intact.
He Ya shouted, "Is anyone inside? Jiang Hanmo?"
"Someone, someone, someone! Wait a minute." A young and powerful voice came from inside the house.
Then the door was pushed open and a handsome man with a tanned complexion walked out. He was wearing a simple T-shirt and loose sweatpants, and his every move exuded confidence and unrestrainedness.
"Jiang Hanmo?" He Ya asked.
"It's me, hello, He Ya." Jiang Hanmo said with full energy.
"This is Chi Li, my sister." He Ya introduced.
The smile with big white teeth on Jiang Hanmo's face disappeared instantly. He frowned and had an aura that made him look like someone who was not easy to mess with.
Chi Li hid behind He Ya.
He Ya frowned and looked at Jiang Hanmo in confusion: "You scared my sister, don't be like this, please be friendly."
Jiang Hanmo rubbed his hair twice, an irritated look on his face. He sighed and finally relaxed.
"Excuse me, can we talk inside?"
He Ya looked at Chi Li.
"Sure, no problem." Chi Li said quickly.
The two held hands and followed Jiang Hanmo into the house.
The most eye-catching thing in the house is an old wooden cabinet placed against the wall. The cabinet is filled with all kinds of strange little objects, including hand-carved wood carvings, colorful stones, and some yellowed old photos.
In front of the cabinet is a table made of rough wood. The top is a little rough, but very clean. Two chairs made of the same material are placed on both sides of the table, which looks simple and warm.
Three people, two chairs, where to sit is a problem?
Chi Li and He Ya looked at each other and both had this question in their minds.
Jiang Hanmo even asked enthusiastically: "Why are you standing? Sit down."
"Are there any more chairs? There are three of us." He Ya asked.
Jiang Hanmo felt a little embarrassed, "It's my problem. I didn't expect you brought someone else. It's okay, I can just stand." Although he said so, when He Ya wasn't paying attention, he glared at Chi Li fiercely.
Chi Li tilted her head in confusion. What did you mean? Let me stand? Impossible. She pretended not to see Jiang Hanmo's fierce eyes.
"How can that be? It's unreasonable to let the master stand. You two sit down." He Ya pushed Chi Li forward to the chair.
Chi Li refused and jumped aside. She smiled. She and Jiang Hanmo were sitting face to face? Wouldn't that be awkward?
Seeing that neither the male nor the female protagonist had any intention of sitting down, Chi Li gave in.
"I was tired of sitting in the car just now and wanted to stand for a while to relax. You guys sit down and don't worry about me." Chi Li said with a fake smile.
The innocent He Ya believed it immediately. She pulled out a chair and sat down: "Is that so? Then Chi Li, when you've stood enough, remember to tell me and we'll switch."
Chi Li nodded heavily.
Jiang Hanmo sat opposite He Ya in a very good mood.
"What can I do for you?"
"Take a look at this." He Ya said, taking out a small black lacquered wooden box from her bag.
"Ghost spirit!" Jiang Hanmo said with a frown.
He Ya opened the box and placed it on the table, revealing the bronze badge with two girls printed on it.
"I don't have any magical powers, so I can't tell what ghostly aura it is. But my sister said this badge has behaved strangely. I wonder if it's a seal or something like that."
Chi Li said: "Yes, I saw it with my own eyes, those two girls shed tears of blood, and it will also..."
"Miss Chi seems very scared, but I think instead of worrying about the unusual movement of this badge, it is better to look at other things around you." Jiang Hanmo interrupted Chi Li impatiently.
"How rude." Chi Li muttered in a low voice.
"What do you mean? Is there any other danger around my sister?" He Ya asked worriedly.
Jiang Hanmo smiled mysteriously, his eyes sweeping over the ash box that Chi Li never let go of.
Chi Li lowered her head stiffly and looked at the ash box. Her heart beat faster and her hands trembled slightly. Then she hurriedly put the ash box in her hand on the table.
Then, as if she had been scalded, she took two steps back and asked anxiously, "Is there something wrong with the ashtray? Are you trying to scare me?"
"This ash box is a magic tool my father gave to my sister to ward off ghosts. What could be wrong with it?" He Ya looked at Jiang Hanmo in confusion.
"Cough cough." Jiang Hanmo coughed twice, then quickly blinked his right eye at He Ya.
He Ya had a speechless look on her face. She looked at Chi Li and comforted her, "Don't be afraid, he lied to you."
Chi Li looked at Jiang Hanmo doubtfully, and when she saw his smug face, she understood instantly.
"Is it interesting? It's really incomprehensible." After the fear faded away, Chi Li was left with only anger.
Jiang Hanmo leaned back in his chair, a nonchalant look on his face. "It was just a little joke. If Miss Chi is unhappy, you can leave."
Chi Li stepped forward, picked up the ash box, and walked towards the door: "Let's go."
Anyway, He Ya will definitely tell her about the badge, so it’s better not to stay in this crappy place.
"Just a reminder, it's easy to get into my place but not easy to get out. You might run into something without the owner's company." Jiang Hanmo said lightly.
Chi Li hesitated for two seconds, then closed the half-open door again. She turned around and forced a fake smile on her face: "Hahaha, actually, when you think about it carefully, Master Jiang's joke is quite interesting."
