The Metaphysical Little Beggar's Rebirth: I'm an Unlucky Star
Chapter 103 Glass House
Shu Wanwan followed Jiang Jingchen obediently, her steps light. The two of them strolled along the path together, and soon they crossed the path and arrived in front of the glass house in the center of the backyard.
Jiang Jingchen stopped and turned to face Shu Wanwan. He fiddled with his phone, and instantly the entire glass room lit up, emitting a warm and soft glow. Countless small lights dotted the glass room, gleaming like stars in the night sky, dazzling and dazzling.
Under the light, the surrounding scenery became clearer. The glass room was surrounded by flowers, clusters of flowers, and the fragrance was overflowing. It felt like being in a sea of flowers. The colorful flowers competed for beauty, as if showing their fragrance to Shu Wanwan. It was almost autumn, and I wondered where Jiang Jingchen found so many varieties of flowers in full bloom.
The lights and flowers made the glass house look dreamy, like a castle from a fairy tale. Shu Wanwan was stunned by the beauty before her, her eyes widening.
Jiang Jingchen turned his head, looked at Shu Wanwan with a smile, and said softly, "This is the surprise I prepared for you."
Shu Wanwan saw everything in front of her and felt that it was a little too beautiful to be real. However, Shu Wanwan was also full of doubts. She didn't know why Jiang Jingchen gave her this glass house.
So she opened the door and walked into the glass room, and a pleasant sandalwood aroma hit her.
"Young Master Jiang, you have such good taste!" Shu Wanwan really liked the elegant sandalwood scent and couldn't help but admire it.
The glass room is spacious, its floor covered in light gray tiles, creating a simple yet comfortable atmosphere. Upon entering, the first thing that catches your eye is a set of neatly arranged sofas: a large white sofa and two smaller ones, each looking incredibly comfortable. Opposite the sofas sits a minimalist white coffee table in a Chinese style, decorated with exquisite ornaments that complement the overall environment.
There is also a dedicated drinking area in the corner near the glass wall, which is equipped with a variety of tea sets, coffee machines, various drinks, and even red wine, with a wide variety and neatly arranged.
Shu Wanwan didn't understand how Jiang Jingchen did it. The furniture in this room had different styles, but they looked very harmonious when put together.
"Did you design all this?" Shu Wanwan raised her eyes and asked Jiang Jingchen.
"Well, how about it, not bad, right?" Jiang Jingchen was still very confident in his vision.
"It's really nice. But what is it used for?" Shu Wanwan still couldn't figure out why Jiang Jingchen gave her such a dreamy glass house.
"You had your fortune told on Director Wei's variety show. I thought that more and more people would come to you for fortune-telling, and you might need a reception room, so I prepared these for you."
Shu Wanwan's abilities have actually spread throughout the entertainment industry, but no one is sure of her temper, so not many people contact her. In addition, with Jiang Jingchen's protection, Shu Wanwan's contact information has not been leaked, and Shu Wanwan has not been disturbed.
"Then why did you build my reception room in your house?" Shu Wanwan was even more confused.
"Because I'm not sure if you need it." Jiang Jingchen avoided Shu Wanwan's gaze a little embarrassedly.
Jiang Jingchen wanted to prepare these for Shu Wanwan simply to make her happy. Although he didn't know the reason why Shu Wanwan had taken leave during this period, he could hear that Shu Wanwan's tone was a little depressed every time he called her.
Shu Wanwan laughed out loud, and she thought Jiang Jingchen was very cute like this.
"I like it when you prepare these for me."
Shu Wanwan continued to peer inside and discovered a hollow, carved white screen. Moonlight and lamplight intertwined, creating a bizarre and shimmering effect. The screen cleverly divided the glass room into two sections, adding a touch of mystery. Curiosity got the better of her. She genuinely wondered what lay behind the screen, so she walked towards it, eager to find out.
Shu Wanwan walked to the screen and walked around it. Behind the screen was a desk with a large monitor and a lighting fixture, a stand, and some unfamiliar equipment.
Next to the glass wall on the side of the desk sits an exquisitely designed antique display stand. Made of walnut, it features the style of the Ming and Qing dynasties, with its flowing lines and intricate carvings, creating a unique look. However, the items displayed on the display stand differ from traditional antiques.
Most of the items weren't genuine antiques, but rather raw, uncarved and unpolished pieces of wood and jade. These pieces hadn't been treated in any way, yet their textures and colors were captivating enough. Shu Wanwan's attention was immediately drawn to these materials. She approached the antique display case and carefully examined each piece of wood and jade.
Jiang Jingchen understood Shu Wanwan's personality. While the wood and jade he selected weren't the most expensive, they were still valuable. He knew Shu Wanwan might refuse an overly expensive gift. Therefore, he carefully selected some distinctive and affordable wood and jade.
Each piece of wood and jade has its own unique characteristics. Some woods have delicate textures and elegant colors; others have rough textures and are full of natural beauty. And the jade, in turn, ranges from gentle and smooth like jade, to crystal clear, and even more delicately colored, as beautiful as emerald.
"There are so many materials for carving." Shu Wanwan picked up the jade from the antique display cabinet and immediately fell in love with it.
Jiang Jingchen showed a nice smile, without saying anything, just looking at Shu Wanwan with a smile.
Soon, Shu Wanwan's eyes were drawn to a delicate storage box on the bottom shelf. She gently lifted the lid, revealing a collection of carving tools of various shapes and sizes neatly arranged.
She picked up one of the carving knives and examined its blade and handle carefully. The blade was sharp and smooth, evidently meticulously polished; the handle, intricately engraved, felt comfortable in her hand. She then examined the other tools: small, delicate carving chisels, perfect for carving delicate lines; larger carving axes, suitable for working with large pieces of wood or stone. Each one was meticulously crafted, like a work of art.
After Shu Wanwan had fiddled with the carving knife for a while, she turned around and walked to the chair behind the desk. She sat down, stretched, leaned back, and turned around.
Shu Wanwan turned back and noticed the things on the table, "Why did you prepare these for me?" In fact, Shu Wanwan could guess a little, but she didn't calculate the details and didn't want to think too much. In such a warm environment, she didn't want to think at all.
