Chapter 88 Breaking the Star Glove Shield
Break the Star Glove Shield
In this ancient and mysterious ruin, Carl, like a devout puzzle solver, was absorbed in studying the arrangement of constellation forces recorded in ancient texts. The elf jumped around him, looking around curiously and flapping its tiny wings from time to time.
"Carl, can you really find a way out of these strange symbols and patterns? It looks like a mess, even messier than my hair!" The elf tilted his head, reached out and touched his furry little head, and said with doubt on his face.
Carl's mouth curled up slightly, and a glimmer of confidence flashed in his eyes. "Don't underestimate these records. They contain the key to unlocking the secret of the shield, just like treasures hidden in a candy box, waiting for us to discover." As he said, he began to cast magic, trying to simulate the power of the constellations described in the literature.
His hands danced, his voice muttering to himself, magical light flickering at his fingertips. Like a skilled painter, he used his magic to sketch the shapes of the constellations in the air. First came the power of Aries, as vibrant as a newborn lamb. In the flickering light, the outline of a ram's horn gradually became clear, emitting a soft golden glow.
"Wow, Carl, look at this golden glitter, it looks like a pile of gold coins! If only these were really gold coins, we could buy lots of magic nectar!" The elf shouted excitedly, with greedy little stars twinkling in his eyes. He flew quickly in the air, as if he had already seen countless nectars in front of him.
Carl smiled helplessly. "Don't be ridiculous, little elf! This is far more valuable than gold coins. It's the key to breaking the shield." He continued to cast magic, simulating the power of Taurus. Taurus's strength was like that of a steady old bull. The pattern formed by the magic radiated a thick, earthy yellow light, like a solid fortress.
"This looks like a big cake, but it's the kind you can't eat." The elf muttered, flew to the pattern of Taurus's power, poked it with his little finger, and was bounced back by a slight force, "Ouch, this cake can hit people!"
Carl ignored the elf's antics and carefully channeled the powers of Aries and Taurus towards the shield of the Star Glove. When the two simulated forces touched the star pattern on the shield, a faint ripple appeared on the surface, like a pebble dropped into a calm lake.
"There's a response! Little elf, it seems we are heading in the right direction." Carl said excitedly, his eyes more focused, like a cheetah staring at its prey, ready to continue exploring in depth.
Carl then simulated the powers of Gemini, Cancer, and other zodiac signs. Gemini's power resembled two playful elves at play, twinkling with intertwined rays of light. Cancer's power resembled a warm crab shell, emitting a soft white light, giving people a sense of security.
"Carl, these constellation forces are like little toys, so fun. But when can we really break this shield? I can't wait to see what magical things are inside the gloves." The elf chattered aside, shuttling through the light of various constellation forces like a butterfly flying among flowers.
"It's almost there, little elf. We have to take it slow and not rush. It's like building a magic castle, every step has to be precise." Carl answered patiently as he continued to bring the simulated force into contact with the shield.
As more constellation powers were added, the shield's reactions became increasingly complex. Sometimes, brief flashes of light would appear, and other times, tiny streams of energy would drift across the shield's surface. But Carl knew that these weren't the key he was looking for.
In his constant attempts, Carl began to try different combinations of constellation powers, sometimes adjusting the order of the constellation powers, sometimes changing their intensities, just like a scientist conducting repeated experiments in a laboratory.
"Elf, I feel like we are little mice groping in the dark, but sooner or later we will find that big piece of cheese." Carl said to the elf with a smile, trying to ease the tense atmosphere.
"Yes, we are the smartest little mice!" The elf made a running mouse gesture in the air, making Carl laugh.
After countless attempts, Carl accidentally simulated the combined power of Leo, Sagittarius, and Aquarius, and the shield showed a noticeably different reaction. The previously stable star pattern on the shield began to flicker violently, like a meteor suddenly flashing in the night sky. The energy fluctuations also became extremely strong, and the entire shield trembled slightly.
"Elf, look! There's something about this combination. The shield's reaction is very violent." Carl shouted excitedly, his heartbeat accelerating with excitement.
The elf quickly flew over, eyes wide. "Wow, it's like the shield is throwing a tantrum! Have we found its weakness?"
"It's possible, but we need further confirmation." Carl frowned. He knew that this could be an important breakthrough point, but it could also be a trap.
He cast the spell again, carefully repeating the constellation combination, carefully observing every change in the shield. He took in every fluctuation of energy, every flicker of light. He felt like he was dismantling a complex magic bomb; any small mistake could lead to the destruction of all his efforts.
After repeating this combination many times, Carl discovered a pattern: when the energy of this constellation combination reached its peak, a star pattern in the center of the shield would dim for a very short time, like an oil lamp about to go out.
"Elf, did you see it? That dim moment might be the weak point of the shield." Carl pointed to the center of the shield, his voice trembling slightly, a trembling mixed with excitement and nervousness.
"I saw it, Carl! It's like a naughty little star playing hide-and-seek with us, sometimes bright and sometimes dark." The elf also responded excitedly.
Carl took a deep breath. He knew the next attempt would be even more dangerous, but to break the shield and obtain the Star Gloves, he had no choice. He planned to concentrate all his magic power and try to break through the shield when the star pattern dimmed again.
"Elf, this may be very dangerous. You should stay away and watch from a safe place." Carl said to the elf with a serious face.
"No, Carl, I want to stay with you. We are partners, no matter how dangerous it is." The elf looked at Carl firmly, with a gleam of loyalty in his eyes.
Carl looked at the elf with emotion and nodded, "Okay, then we'll go together."
They cast their magic once more, simulating the combined power of Leo, Sagittarius, and Aquarius. When the star pattern in the center of the shield dimmed again, Carl and the elf simultaneously concentrated all their magical power and rushed towards the weak point. Instantly, the magical light shone brightly, illuminating the entire ruins. Their figures, shimmering in the light, resembled heroic warriors, charging towards their final goal.
At this moment, the entire ruins seemed to hold their breath, waiting for the final result of whether they could successfully break the shield of the Star Glove.
