The Rebirth of the God of Law: The Lord of the God Realm

Chapter 66: Interference from the Enemy

Interference from the enemy

In the academy's tranquil atmosphere, like a sleeping giant, Carl was in a crucial moment of seclusion, like a magical seed pregnant with infinite possibilities, striving to take root and sprout in the darkness. However, this tranquility was shattered by a pair of eyes filled with jealousy and malice. Victor, who had always regarded Carl as a thorn in his side, had somehow learned of Carl's plan.

"Hmph, that guy Carl wants to break through the world barrier? No way! I can't let him succeed. I am the most powerful magician in the world." Victor said viciously. His already gloomy face looked even more hideous in the dark corner, with resentful light flashing in his eyes, like a poisonous snake staring at its prey.

Victor quickly gathered his men. Each one of them had been corrupted by the power of darkness, their eyes fixed on destruction and obedience. "Let's go and teach Carl and his beloved academy a lesson. Let them know the consequences of opposing me." Victor waved his hand and marched aggressively towards the academy with his men.

At this time in the academy, the sun still shone on the ancient buildings, the teachers were methodically carrying out their daily teaching and research, and the students were swimming in the world of magic. Everything seemed so peaceful. However, this tranquility was soon broken.

"Oh no! It's Victor, he's coming with people!" A cry came from the academy's watchtower, and the sound echoed over the academy like an alarm.

"What? That guy dares to come again? Didn't he think he got beaten badly enough last time?" A young teacher clenched his wand and said angrily. The teacher's name was Alan. He was tall and straight, with eyes as sharp as an eagle, and his short blond hair gleamed in the sunlight. He was one of the youngest and most energetic teachers in the academy, and he had long detested Victor's evil deeds. The wand in his hand was made of precious unicorn horn, and the tip was inlaid with a blue magic crystal. When he was angry, the crystal shone brightly, as if it was also excited for battle.

"Don't be careless. He definitely has ill intentions this time. Everyone, prepare for battle. We must protect the academy and Carl's training." The dean quickly gave orders, his eyes revealing solemnity and determination. Although he knew Victor's strength, as the guardian of the academy, he would never back down. The dean was a highly respected magician. He wore a robe embroidered with mysterious runes, which shimmered with the fluctuations of his magic power. His white hair and beard were like winter frost and snow, and the wrinkles on his face were the marks left by the years and also the symbol of wisdom. The wand in his hand was a legacy of the academy, containing powerful and pure magic. At this moment, it was emitting a warm and firm light, bringing courage to the teachers and students around him.

The teachers at the academy grabbed their wands and rushed to the gates, ready to meet the enemy. Their magical radiance shone in the sunlight, like banners defending justice. Among them was a female teacher named Alicia, skilled in water magic. When she waved her wand, the air around her seemed to become moist. She was graceful, her long hair a waterfall of black, and her eyes were gentle yet resolute. Her wand was forged from deep-sea coral and inlaid with shimmering pearls, each pearl emitting a soft blue light. During the battle, that blue light transformed into curtains of water, repelling the enemy's attacks.

Victor and his men quickly arrived at the academy's gate. He looked at the teachers standing ready, a sneer on his face. "You think you can stop me? Today is the end of Carl, and the end of this academy."

"Victor, you won't succeed! We won't let you harm Carl or the academy," an elderly teacher stepped forward and declared righteously. This teacher, Professor Benjamin of History of Magic, was a man of profound knowledge and a deep affection for the academy's history and magical heritage. Despite his advanced age, his magical powers remained formidable. He held an ancient oak wand, engraved with the names of past wizards of the academy. These names seemed to cheer him on and empower him in battle.

"Just you guys? Look what I brought." Victor waved his hand triumphantly, and his men brought out several huge boxes. Opening them, they revealed items filled with powerful dark magic. Those items were engraved with strange runes, which glowed a dark red light, as if they were telling of an evil curse.

"Wow, boss, these things are powerful! This time we can definitely raze this academy to the ground!" one of Victor's men exclaimed excitedly, a twisted smile on his ugly face. This man was obese, his face thick with flesh, and his small eyes gleamed with greed and cruelty. He wore a tattered black robe, stained with various stains and emitting a foul odor. In his hand, he held a spiked iron chain, swirling with black smoke, the embodiment of dark magic.

"Hmph, don't get too excited. We need to deal with these troublesome teachers first." Victor said, picking up a dark magic item and muttering something. In an instant, a powerful dark force surged from the item and swept towards the teachers.

The teachers were not to be outdone, and they cast all kinds of magic to resist. For a moment, the light was everywhere, and the sound of magic clashing and shouting intertwined, the scene was extremely chaotic.

Teacher Allen brandished his unicorn wand and chanted an offensive spell. Golden lightning bolts shot out from the tip of the wand, striking the enemy. "Taste this, you lackeys of darkness!" he shouted. Golden lightning bolts pierced through the dark forces like shooting stars streaking through dark clouds in the night sky. Each bolt crackled and pierced the enemy's screams.

Teacher Alicia waved her coral wand, casting water magic. Water elements gathered around her, forming a massive sphere within which countless water dragons swam. "Water guardian, repel evil!" she cried, and the sphere rushed toward the dark forces. The dragons, with their fangs bared, pounced on their enemies. As the water and the dark forces collided, a hissing sound erupted, and steam rose into a vast white mist.

Teacher Benjamin stood calmly, drawing a magic circle on the ground with his oak wand. The circle emanated an ancient, mysterious light, enveloping the surrounding teachers and students. "This is the protective power of the academy. Don't be afraid, everyone. We will definitely defeat our enemies." His voice was deep and powerful, bringing reassurance to those around him.

"Everyone, be careful! These dark magic items are very powerful. Don't fight head-on. Focus on coordination," the dean shouted. He waved his wand, conjuring a massive shield of light, blocking one of Victor's attacks. The shield shone with a dazzling white light, as bright as the sun, temporarily keeping the dark forces at bay. However, the dark forces continued to assault the shield, and cracks began to appear under its onslaught. White light flickered in the cracks, as if in a stubborn resistance.

"Damn, this guy has really gotten stronger." Teacher Allen frowned, his forehead covered with sweat, the magic consumption making him a little tired. His blond hair was soaked with sweat and stuck to his cheeks, but his eyes remained firm, and he showed no sign of retreating.

"Don't be afraid, we still have students here, and they'll come to help," another teacher said, trying to boost morale with optimistic words. This teacher was a young woman named Mia, specializing in wind magic. She was petite, with a delicate face and large, bright eyes. The wand she held was made of bird feathers and a precious wind magic gem, and when she waved it, a gentle breeze blew.

Just as the teachers were locked in a tough battle with Victor and the others, the students in the academy also began to take action.

"We can't let those villains destroy our house! Let's all attack together!" a brave student shouted, wand raised, and rushed to the battlefield. This student's name was Jack, one of the house's top students, with curly brown hair and wide, passionate eyes. His wand was a gift from his father, made of tough ironwood and tipped with a green Philosopher's Stone. The stone emitted a soft green light during battle, providing magical support.

"Yes, we must protect Senior Carl. He's our hope!" The other students echoed the call. Though young, their eyes were filled with determination and courage. Among them was a little girl named Lily, Jack's good friend. She excelled in healing magic. While her offensive power wasn't strong, she played a vital role in the battle. In her hand, she held a small wand wrapped in a pink ribbon and topped with a heart-shaped crystal. She followed Jack, ready to heal any injured classmates or teachers.

The situation changed slightly after the students joined the battle. They used the magic they had learned to attack Victor's men. Although the power of each student was limited, the combined power of many students still caused some trouble for the enemy.

Jack waved his ironwood wand and chanted a spell. Vines quickly sprouted from the ground and entangled the enemy. "See how you can continue to do evil!" he shouted. The vines quickly tripped several enemies to the ground, making them unable to move.

Lily, on the other hand, cast a healing spell on the injured students. She waved her wand, and pink light streamed down from the tip, landing on the injured students' bodies. The wounds healed at a visible speed. "Don't be afraid, everyone. I will heal you," she whispered softly, her voice like a spring breeze, warm and comforting.

"These little brats are quite annoying, go get rid of them." Victor said impatiently, and some of his men rushed towards the students.

"Hmph, you want to hurt our students? No way!" Seeing this, the teachers divided some of their strength to protect the students, and the battle became more intense.

In the chaos of the battle, Victor took the opportunity to rush towards the place where Carl was practicing in seclusion. He had only one goal in mind - to disrupt Carl's practice.

"Stop him! Don't let him get close to Carl!" The dean realized Victor's intention and shouted anxiously. But several of Victor's men desperately stopped the dean and other teachers, buying time for Victor.

"Carl, just wait for my destruction!" Victor grinned, drawing ever closer to Carl's training area. The dark magic item in his hand glowed ever brighter, as if cheering for the impending destruction. The teachers at the academy were terrified, but they were entangled by the enemy, unable to escape. The entire academy was plunged into an unprecedented crisis.
