The Rebirth of the God of Law: The Lord of the God Realm
Chapter 57 Volcano Exploration (2)
Volcano Exploration (II)
When Carl and his teammates stepped into the volcano's inner passage, it felt like they were diving headfirst into the sun's belly. The surrounding rock walls glowed red like a freshly heated iron, gleaming with a blinding light, threatening to set everything ablaze. The scorching air, like a group of mischievous imps, bared its fangs and claws, burrowing into their noses and mouths. Every breath felt like swallowing fire, and it felt like their lungs were being roasted.
But before they could fully "enjoy" this fervent atmosphere, swarms of fire elementals swarmed towards them like a group of crazy fans discovering their idol. These creatures were formidable, composed entirely of magma. Their bodies resembled flowing magma waterfalls, and with every movement, magma droplets popped out like popcorn. Their fiery eyes burned with rage like children whose candy had been snatched away, eager to devour Carl and the others.
"Wow, look at these guys! They treat us like superstars! Such a warm welcome! I'm almost moved to tears!" Tom yelled at the top of his lungs, his voice a little out of tune, his expression like someone trying to force a smile after eating bitter melon. "But their enthusiasm is too strong! I feel like I'm about to be melted into a puddle of water. You'll have to put me in a bottle and take me back!"
"Stop talking nonsense, Tom. If you keep talking, we will all become burnt sweet potatoes. Get ready for battle!" Lucy shouted, holding the wand tightly like a female warrior, her eyes as big as copper bells, staring at the fire elemental creatures as if she was staring at a group of naughty little monsters.
Like a commanding orchestra conductor, Carl took the lead, waving his "baton"—his wand—and muttering water magic spells so ancient it seemed like they'd been handed down from the age of dinosaurs. And lo and behold, a stream of pure water, like an enchanted fountain, joyfully gushed from the tip of his wand. The stream, like a child in a sauna, overwhelmed by the heat, quickly transformed into vast clouds of steam, which pounced upon the fire elementals. The contact between the steam and the fire elementals was a scene of riotous activity, like a flock of mice in a frying pan, sizzling with clatter. The fire elementals, dazed by the sudden onslaught of steam, felt as if under a spell of immobilization, their bodies momentarily frozen like frozen lava popsicles.
"Look at me! A super waterspout! This is my ultimate weapon! Today, I'll show it to you little fireballs!" Jerry shouted like an excited child discovering a new toy, then waved his wand like a madman. The wand was like a magical paintbrush. With his wave, the surrounding water vapor quickly gathered like obedient lambs, forming a massive waterspout that threatened to burst through the clouds. This waterspout was formidable, like a drunken blue dragon, swooping down on the fire elementals with bared fangs and claws. Wherever it passed, the fire elementals' flames were suppressed like children being scolded by their mother. The fire elementals stamped their feet (if they had feet) in anger, roaring angrily, the sound like a volcanic eruption, trying to break free from the water's restraints, like naughty ghosts trying to escape their mother's arms.
"Haha, you little fireballs, how are you? It must be uncomfortable to be trapped in a waterspout, right? This is what happens if you provoke us, just like you don't like taking a shower, so I'm going to give you a cold shower today!" Jerry was so excited that his face flushed red, and the sweat on his face kept falling like beads with broken strings, but the fighting spirit in his eyes was like a burning flame, burning more and more vigorously.
Tom wasn't idle either. Like a superhero, he cast earth magic, summoning the surrounding rocks like minions. Under his control, the massive rocks hurled themselves at the fire elementals like cannonballs. "Watch me smash you guys to pieces with these rocks, like walnuts. See how you can hold on!" Tom shouted, waving his wand vigorously in a strange dance. Rocks rained down with a crackling sound, pelting the fire elementals and sending up splatters of lava like red flowers blooming in hell.
Lucy, like an ice queen, unleashed her icy magic. The tip of her wand was a magical factory, rapidly congealing countless needle-sharp icicles. Under her control, these icicles, like a flock of silver birds, flew in a neat formation towards the fire elementals. "Let me show you the power of ice and snow! Freeze all of you little fireballs! I'll turn you into beautiful ice sculptures and put them on display at the entrance of the academy, titled 'The End of Naughty Fire Elementals!'" Lucy shouted. As the icicles struck the fire elementals, they acted like magical nails, rapidly freezing parts of their bodies. The frozen parts crackled in the intense heat, like someone breaking ice, or perhaps even protesting the fire elementals, as if they were about to shatter like glass.
"Great coordination, everyone! It's like we're putting on a fantastic magic show! Keep attacking!" Carl shouted like a cheerleader, maintaining his water magic while observing the surroundings like a detective. Under their attack, the fire elementals' momentum slowed like a punctured balloon, but these creatures were like indestructible cockroaches, their numbers as numerous as the stars in the sky, surging in wave after wave, seemingly never tired.
In this fierce battle that was like a battlefield, the teammates were like dancing partners with tacit coordination, cooperating with each other and taking care of each other.
"Jerry, watch to your left! There's a little fireball trying to sneak up on you, sneaking around like a thief!" Lucy yelled at the top of her lungs, like a sharp-eyed lookout. Jerry, like a startled rabbit, spun around, waved his wand, and cast a small water ball spell. Like a tiny, transparent cannonball, the water ball soared towards the fire elemental, sending it stumbling backward like a drunk being shoved.
"Thanks, Lucy! You are really my savior, like an angel, who always appears at the critical moment. Without you, my handsome face would have been burnt, and no girl would like me." Jerry was so grateful that tears were about to come out, and his expression was so exaggerated as if he was in a stage play.
"Tom, there's something behind you! A swarm of little fireballs is charging at you like hungry wolves at a bone!" Carl shouted, his voice echoing through the air like an alarm. Tom looked back and saw a swarm of fire elementals charging at him from behind, ready to devour him alive. He quickly cast earth magic, creating a wall of earth behind him. The wall served as a makeshift shield, but the fire elementals were too powerful. Cracks began to form under their impact, like a broken spiderweb, and the cracks continued to widen, as if someone had painted on the wall.
"Come and help me, this mud wall can't hold on anymore! They are like a group of mad bulls, it's terrible!" Tom shouted anxiously like an ant on a hot pan, and the sweat beads on his forehead, bigger than soybeans, kept rolling down.
Carl and Lucy rushed over like firefighters at a distress call. Carl, like a magician, cast a water spell, pouring a layer of water over the earthen wall. The water acted like glue, solidifying it. As if enchanted, the cracks stopped spreading. Lucy, like a sharpshooter, used ice spikes to attack the fire elementals that attacked the wall. The ice spikes acted like sharp arrows, driving the fire elementals back step by step. Like a whack-a-mole game, they were swatted back as soon as they appeared.
As they battled, they, like brave explorers, gradually advanced deeper into the volcano. The temperature around them grew ever higher, as if someone were constantly heating them, and the magical fluctuations grew stronger, as if countless tiny hands were pulling at their magic. But like a group of stubborn little donkeys, they refused to stop, knowing that the Fire Stone lay somewhere deep within, like a treasure waiting to be unearthed.
"Everyone, hold on, we will definitely find the Fire Stone! Then we will return to the academy like heroes, and everyone will look at us with admiration. We may even get a large bonus, and then we can go out for a big dinner!" Carl encouraged like a little sun full of hope, his eyes full of determination, like two sparkling gems.
As they advanced deeper, the fire elementals' attacks intensified, like enraged lions. They seemed to sense the threat of these intruders to their territory, as if someone was trying to steal their toys, and so their frenzy grew. But Carl and his teammates became more sympathetic. Their magic woven together like a colorful scroll, forming a defense as solid as a Great Wall of Steel, repelling the fire elementals' attacks. Deep within this volcano, shrouded in flames and danger, their figures were like tiny stars in the darkness, tiny yet radiant. They steadfastly advanced through this perilous world, ever closer to their goal, like a group of determined sailors heading towards a mysterious treasure island.
"I think I can sense the presence of the Fire Stone!" Carl exclaimed suddenly, his heartbeat quickening. This surge of excitement coursed through his body like an electric current, energizing him in battle like a shot of chicken blood. Upon hearing Carl's words, his teammates, like a shot of stimulant, perked up and attacked even more fiercely. Like a pack of hungry wolves spotting their prey, they continued their advance towards the possible location of the Fire Stone, preparing for a new challenge, like a grand carnival party.
