Chapter 51 Interpretation of Ancient Books

Interpretation of ancient books

After Carl returned to the academy, he dove headfirst into the world of ancient books like an industrious bee. He locked himself in the academy's small study room, surrounded by piles of magic books and notebooks. The ancient book lay quietly on the quaint wooden table, as if it were the center of his world.

"Karl, you've been here for several days. Don't tire yourself out." Lucy gently pushed the door open, holding a plate of food, and looked at Karl worriedly. There were already obvious dark circles around his eyes, but his eyes were still bright and focused on the mysterious characters on the ancient book.

"It's okay, Lucy, I feel like I've figured it out. This ancient book is like a huge treasure, the more you dig, the more you'll find." Carl raised his head, forced a smile, took the food handed to him by Lucy, and began to gobble it up.

"So what did you find? Tell me quickly." Lucy came over curiously, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

"This ancient book is not simple. The contents recorded in it are far beyond our imagination. Not only does it contain methods to break through the barriers of the world, but it also contains information about the source of power of the ancient gods!" Carl said while eating, his excitement unconcealed in his words.

"Wow! The source of the power of the ancient gods? Does that mean we can become as powerful as them?" Lucy opened her mouth in surprise.

"It's not that easy. This knowledge is as profound as the black hole of the universe. I have to use all the memories of my previous life and all the theoretical knowledge I learned in college to barely understand a little bit." Carl shook his head helplessly and turned his gaze to the ancient books again.

In the days that followed, Carl devoted himself to studying ancient books, forgetting to eat and sleep. Sometimes his brows furrowed, sometimes he suddenly understood, his expression as rich as if he were performing a wonderful magic show.

"Hey, Carl, look at you, one moment you look sad, the next moment you smile like a madman. Have these ancient books made you stupid?" Tom walked into the laboratory with a big laugh, followed by Jerry and several other classmates.

"Go to hell, Tom. I'm exploring the great mysteries of magic, what do you know." Carl rolled his eyes at him, but couldn't help but raise the corners of his mouth.

"So how's your research going? Have you found anything interesting?" Jerry asked. He looked around in the laboratory, full of curiosity about those ancient magical instruments.

"Interesting discovery? This is no joke, but I did find an important clue. This ancient book seems to require a specific magical ritual to fully reveal its contents." Carl said seriously.

"A magic ritual? Does it have to be like in the movies, lighting candles, chanting a bunch of weird spells, and then doing some shamanic dance or something?" Tom said jokingly, and his words made everyone laugh.

"You just talk nonsense, Tom. This magic ritual requires the collection of several special magic materials. It's not as simple as you think." Carl said unhappily.

"What materials do we need? We can look for them together." Lucy asked seriously. She knew the importance of this matter.

"I have only deciphered a few of them so far. One is the luminous flower that grows on the edge of the dark abyss. This flower only blooms at midnight when the moonlight is at its brightest, and it is surrounded by powerful dark magic. Picking it is not an easy task. Another is the deep-sea magic crystal. It is at the deepest part of the seabed, where the water pressure is huge and there are all kinds of ferocious magical creatures." Carl said with a frown, and the difficult picture of finding these materials had already emerged in his mind.

"That sounds exciting! When do we set off?" Jerry jumped up excitedly. He was always passionate about adventure.

"Don't be anxious, we have to be fully prepared. These materials are very dangerous. If we are not careful, we may not be able to come back." Carl looked at everyone, his eyes full of seriousness and worry.

"Don't be afraid, Carl. We are friends who have experienced so many dangers together. There will be no problem this time." Tom patted his chest and said with a confident smile on his face.

So, everyone began to prepare to find magic materials. They consulted various materials in the library of the academy, learned the details of the luminous flowers and deep-sea magic crystals, and asked teachers for advice on how to deal with dark magic and the dangers of the seabed.

During the preparation process, everyone had a lot of fun.

"Jerry, look at you, you've messed up these books. How are we going to find information?" Lucy said in pretended anger.

"Hey, Lucy, I'm just speeding up. I don't think there's much useful information in these books. We might as well just ask those experienced adventurers." Jerry scratched his head and smiled embarrassedly.

"Is this just an excuse for being lazy? Adventurers' experience cannot replace our own research. What if they have some wrong information?" Lucy glared at Jerry and continued to organize the books.

After a period of preparation, they finally developed a preliminary plan. Carl looked at the plan in his hand, feeling both nervous and excited. This adventure would determine whether they could truly decipher the ancient text and grasp its secrets. What lay ahead were unknown challenges and dangers.

"Are you all ready? This journey won't be easy." Carl looked at his companions with a determined glint in his eyes.

"Ready! Let's go!" Everyone shouted in unison, and the sound echoed in the corridors of the academy, full of courage and determination.

With their anticipation for ancient books and curiosity about the unknown, they embarked on a journey to find magical materials, just like a group of brave sailors heading out to the mysterious sea to find legendary treasures. And the ancient books, like the beacon that guides their direction, shine the light of hope in their hearts.
