The Rebirth of the God of Law: The Lord of the God Realm

Chapter 23: Exploring the Forbidden Land (1)

Exploring the Forbidden Land (I)

The morning sun shone through every corner of the academy, but stopped at the edge of the forbidden area, as if blocked by a mysterious force. Carl stood at the entrance, flanked by a stern-faced teacher. This teacher, a highly respected elder in the academy with a deep understanding of the forbidden area, had been entrusted by the dean to lead Carl into this mysterious place.

"Karl, there are many dangers in the forbidden area. You must follow me closely and do not act on your own." The teacher's voice was low and solemn, with unquestionable majesty.

"I will, teacher," Carl replied, his eyes filled with both awe and curiosity for the forbidden area. He tightly grasped the wand in his hand, which was his faithful companion on the path of magic. Today, it seemed to tremble slightly because of this special environment.

Upon entering the forbidden area, an ancient and mysterious aura washed over me, as if I had traveled back in time to the dawn of magic. A faint mist filled the air, a living, slowly flowing mist that sometimes condensed into strange shapes, then vanished. From time to time, faint magical fluctuations emanated from the forbidden area, like mysterious musical notes, playing a silent melody in the air.

"The magical restrictions here are very powerful. They were set up by our ancestors to protect the secrets within the forbidden area." The teacher explained to Carl as they walked, the tip of the wand in his hand flickering with a soft light, illuminating the way ahead for them.

Carl cautiously followed his teacher, his gaze drawn to the various ancient magical relics around him. There were collapsed magic towers, their stones engraved with intricate runes. Though eroded by time, the runes still emanated a faint magical power. There were broken magical statues, perhaps once symbols of a great wizard, now lost to the passage of time. There were also magical instruments scattered on the ground, their shapes varied, some resembling mysterious keys, others like ancient containers, each one seemingly telling a story from the past.

"Teacher, these relics... what is their history?" Carl couldn't help but ask, his voice sounding particularly clear in this silent forbidden area.

"These relics are witnesses to the history of the academy. They carry the wisdom and power of countless magicians, and also hide many unknown secrets. We are here today to explore some of these secrets, but this requires you to have sufficient strength and luck." The teacher replied, his eyes revealing a deep light, as if he was also full of curiosity about the stories behind these relics.

As he continued forward, Carl sensed the magical energy fluctuations growing stronger. It was a kind of energy he had never experienced before, powerful and mysterious, like the surging sea or the vastness of the universe. He was surprised to discover that this energy fluctuation was extremely similar to the energy recorded in ancient texts that could lead to breakthroughs.

"Teacher, I feel that the magical energy here is very unusual. It is very similar to the energy of breaking through the realm." Carl said excitedly, his heartbeat involuntarily accelerated, and a sense of anticipation quietly grew in his heart.

"Can you feel it? It seems that your perception of magic is even sharper than I thought. The key to breaking through the bottleneck may indeed be hidden here, but it is not easy to find it, and it comes with huge risks." The teacher looked at Carl, with a hint of approval in his eyes, but more of worry.

When they reached the entrance to the forbidden area, Carl was greeted by a massive, ancient mural. It occupied an entire wall, and despite the mottled marks of time, the painting's content was still clearly visible. It depicted a battle between magicians and mysterious creatures. The battle was intense, with magical light colliding with the creatures' power, illuminating the entire scene.

Carl's attention was drawn to a magician in the mural. The magician's face was blurry, as if shrouded by a mysterious power. Yet, his magical signature was remarkably clear. His unique casting posture, the color and form of the magical light, were strikingly similar to Carl's past life. Carl's eyes widened, a wave of shock welling up in his heart.

“Teacher, look at this magician…” Karl pointed at the figure on the mural, his voice trembling.

The teacher followed Carl's finger, frowning, a look of surprise in his eyes. "This... is indeed strange. This magician's characteristics are very similar to yours. It seems there are secrets here that we haven't anticipated."

Carl approached the mural and reached out, wanting to touch the blurred face, but was repelled by an invisible force. "This must hold a profound secret related to my past life. I must uncover it." Carl vowed silently, his gaze growing more determined.

At this moment, the surrounding magical energy seemed to sense Carl's determination and fluctuated even more violently. The mist within the forbidden area also began to swirl rapidly, forming small vortices. Carl and the teacher looked around warily, knowing that this was a warning from the forbidden area, that they had touched the edge of its secrets.

"Carl, we have to be careful. Changes here may indicate impending danger." The teacher warned, raising his wand and ready for battle.

"Well, I know, teacher." Carl replied. He also gripped his wand tightly, concentrating and preparing to deal with any unexpected situation.

Just as they were bracing themselves for battle, a strange light suddenly flashed across the mural. Like lightning, it streaked across the mural, illuminating the entire entrance. After the light faded, new runes appeared on the mural. These runes shone with a mysterious light, arranged in a unique pattern, like an ancient code.

“This is…” Carl looked at the runes in surprise. He tried to decipher their meaning, but the runes were too ancient and complex for him to understand for a moment.

"These runes may be the key to unlocking the deeper secrets of the forbidden area. We need to study them carefully." The teacher said. He walked forward and observed the runes carefully, muttering to himself, as if trying to decipher them with his magical knowledge.

Carl stood behind his teacher, his gaze fixed on the runes, his mind racing. He recalled various rune descriptions he had seen in ancient texts, trying to find similarities with these runes. Suddenly, a thought flashed through his mind: an ancient text mentioned a rune code related to breaking through realms.

"Teacher, I seem to have an idea. Could these runes be related to the code for breaking through the realm?" Carl said excitedly.

After hearing what Carl said, the teacher's eyes sparkled. "You make sense. We can try this approach."

So, Carl and his teacher began to decipher the runes on the mural according to the rune code for breakthrough realms. They tried cautiously, each detoxification attempt like walking a tightrope, where a single mistake could lead to unknown dangers. After much effort, they finally deciphered the meaning of some of the runes.

"These runes seem to be guiding us to a specific location in the forbidden area, where there may be a way to break through the bottleneck." The teacher said with a relieved smile on his face.

"Then let's go quickly, teacher." Karl said impatiently, his heart full of anticipation.

Following the runes' guidance, they journeyed deeper into the forbidden area. Along the way, they encountered more magical barriers and traps. Some barriers were invisible energy walls that required specific methods to break through; others were magical arrays hidden beneath the ground that, once triggered, would unleash powerful attacking magic.

"Be careful!" the teacher shouted, waving his wand and unleashing a magical shield that blocked a sudden burst of flames from the front. They had accidentally triggered a hidden magic circle, and the flames, like a ferocious dragon, pounced on them.

Carl reacted quickly, casting a water spell that, combined with his teacher's shield, extinguished the flames. "These traps are truly dangerous," Carl said with lingering fear.

"That's right, so we have to be more careful. Every step here could be a test of life and death." said the teacher, wiping the sweat from his forehead and continuing to move forward.

After passing through a series of restrictions and traps, they arrived before a massive magic circle. This circle occupied a vast area, densely engraved with runes and patterns. It emanated powerful magical energy fluctuations that sent a wave of fear through both Carl and the teacher.

"This should be where the runes led us to." The teacher said, looking at the magic circle with awe in his eyes.

"This magic circle looks so complicated. How can we crack it?" Carl asked, frowning and carefully observing the structure of the magic circle.

"Let's study these runes and patterns first to see if we can find any clues to crack it." The teacher replied, and he and Carl began to study the magic circle carefully.

While studying the magic circle, Carl discovered that some of the runes on this magic circle were similar to a high-level magic circle he had studied in his previous life. He had an idea that this might be the key to cracking the current magic circle.

"Teacher, I found that some of the runes on this magic circle are similar to an advanced magic circle I saw in my previous life. We can start from here." Carl said, with a hint of excitement in his eyes.

"Really? That's great. Let's try it based on your memories of your past life." said the teacher, full of anticipation for Carl's discovery.

Drawing on his memories from his past life, Carl began attempting to decipher the magic circle. He carefully injected his magic power into the specific runes within the circle, adjusting the runes' energy frequencies based on his past life experience. As he manipulated the magic circle, the once intense energy fluctuations gradually stabilized.

"It's working, Carl. Keep going," the teacher encouraged. He watched nervously from the side, the wand in his hand ready to deal with any emergency that might arise.

Carl took a deep breath and continued to crack the magic circle. After some effort, the magic circle was finally cracked. With a flash of dazzling light, a passage leading underground appeared in the center of the magic circle.

"We succeeded, teacher." Carl said excitedly.

"Well, well done, Carl. But we can't let our guard down, there may be more dangers down there." The teacher said, looking at the passage with vigilance in his eyes.

They slowly descended the passage, which was filled with an even more mysterious atmosphere. Glowing crystals inlaid on the walls illuminated their path. When they reached the end of the passage, a huge secret chamber appeared before them.

The chamber was filled with a variety of magical items and ancient tomes, as well as crystal vessels emitting powerful magic. In the center, a magic circle radiated a soft glow, and a mysterious crystal ball hovered above it. The crystal ball seemed to contain endless magical power, a power as profound and mysterious as the vast starry sky.

"This... Is this the core secret of the forbidden area?" Carl said in surprise, his eyes attracted by the crystal ball and unable to move away.

"It seems so. But we have to be careful, these powerful magical items may have protection mechanisms." The teacher warned, and he and Carl slowly walked into the secret room, ready to further explore this mysterious place.
