Crisis in the Desert

In the vast expanse of the Divine Power Desert, the scorching sun hung high, seemingly melting everything in the world beneath the scorching sea of sand. Carl and his companions trudged arduously, each step leaving deep footprints in the soft sand, only to be quickly buried by the relentless wind and sand.

"This damn place is so hot that I feel like I'm turning into a roasted sweet potato." An ally muttered while wiping the beads of sweat from his forehead.

"Haha, then you better not turn into a burnt sweet potato. I don't want to eat it." Another ally joked, trying to ease the irritability caused by the unbearable heat.

However, they were unaware that a sudden crisis was looming. Beneath this seemingly peaceful sea of sand lay a mysterious, desert-inspired creature. These creatures, like ghosts in the desert, blend seamlessly with the sand, making them virtually invisible to the naked eye.

Suddenly, a desert creature burst forth from the sand, pouncing like a bolt of lightning at its nearest ally. Its sharp claws gleamed eerily in the sunlight, and the moment they touched the ally's body, a burst of corrosive magic erupted.

"Ah!" The ally who was struck let out a scream of pain, his body trembling violently, his face instantly turning pale. He could feel his magic power begin to become disordered like a wild horse running wild, rushing through his body, and every fluctuation of magic power brought piercing pain.

"Everyone, be careful!" Carl shouted, a serious look flashing in his eyes. Without hesitation, he swiftly cast a healing spell. His hands danced, his voice muttering, and soft rays of light streamed from his palms, flowing like a gurgling stream towards the injured ally. Under the light, the ally's pained expression gradually eased, and the chaotic magic power was temporarily stabilized.

"Hey, don't fall down so easily. We still have to go to the Mystic Valley together." Carl looked at his injured ally with concern in his eyes.

"I... I'm fine, Carl, these guys are really insidious." The injured ally said through gritted teeth.

Carl knew he couldn't panic at this moment, so he quickly ordered everyone to form a back-to-back defensive formation. "Everyone, stay close together. Don't give these monsters a chance!" His voice was steady and powerful, gradually calming the panicked hearts of his allies.

Carl stood at the forefront of the formation, holding a longsword of ice and fire, his expression solemn as he gazed at the surrounding sand. He took a deep breath, mobilizing the icy and fire powers within him. The icy and fire powers entwined and intertwined around the longsword, then spread outward like a blooming flower of ice and fire, forming a relatively stable protective zone. Within this zone, the raging storm seemed to have calmed down a bit, and sand particles rustled as they impacted the shield formed by the icy and fire powers.

"Everyone hide in this area, save your magic power, and use magic items wisely." Carl said loudly.

The allies nodded and each pulled out magic items from their bags, ready to deal with any further attacks. Some took out magic crystals that could cast small shields, while others pulled out smoke bombs to confuse the enemy.

At that moment, several more desert creatures began to stir in the sand. They swam slowly beneath the sand, like sharks hiding in the shadows, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. Suddenly, they attacked simultaneously, lunging at Carl and his companions from different directions.

"Hmph! Come on, you ugly creatures!" Carl roared, swung his ice and fire sword fiercely, and a sword energy of ice and fire crisscrossed the approaching desert creatures. Wherever the sword energy passed, the desert creatures felt the powerful force of ice and fire, and their bodies paused, but they did not retreat, and continued to rush towards Carl and his companions.

"These guys are really risking their lives!" an ally said nervously.

"Don't be afraid, we'll go together!" Another ally responded, and with a wave of the magic wand in his hand, a lightning magic shot towards the desert creature.

During the battle, Carl discovered a strange phenomenon. Whenever the mysterious power of the Ice and Fire Sword emanated, the desert creatures would briefly retreat. This mysterious power was like a natural enemy of these desert creatures, instilling fear in them.

"Everyone, pay attention. My sword is intimidating to these guys. Let's use this to our advantage," Carl shouted.

So, Carl deliberately increased the release of the mysterious power of the Ice and Fire Sword. Every time the desert creatures attacked, he used this power to force them back, and his allies took the opportunity to attack with magic. With everyone's close cooperation, they gradually stabilized the situation, and the attacks of the desert creatures became less fierce.

"Haha, it seems these guys are nothing special. They were beaten like turtles by us." The elf was flying happily in the air, and its words eased the tense atmosphere a lot.

"Don't be careless, elf, we have to leave here as soon as possible." Carl warned.

After repelling wave after wave of desertified creatures, Carl led everyone to continue moving towards the mysterious valley. Their figures seemed so small in this vast divine desert, but their eyes were extremely determined, because they knew that only by moving forward could they reach their destination and uncover the mystery of the mysterious valley.

Along the way, despite the dangers lurking on every side, they support and encourage each other, and every victory over difficulties only deepens their bond. And this desert of divine power is just one challenge in their adventure; there are still many unknowns waiting to be explored.
