As news of the Shadow Clan's Saint's return and the recovery of the Golden Eagle Ancestor's corpse spread, both humans and beastmen targeted the Shadow Clan, demanding the handover of the Nether Dagger, taken by the Saint and the Golden Eagle Ancestor. During this period, wars of varying magnitudes continued, resulting in casualties on all sides. Under the leadership of Ni Fang, the Shadow Clan has experienced rapid growth in recent years, no longer fearing any war. Both humans and beastmen discovered that the once weak race, relying on human labor for survival, was no longer a vulnerable force. Due to their relative weakness, the Golden Eagle Ancestor was forced to take the Nether Dagger and leave the Shadow Clan, entering the Dark Forest. This was partly to protect the Shadow Clan from attacks by humans and beastmen, and partly to uncover the secrets of the dagger. It was said that the dagger contained a map to an immortal's cave, allowing any race to alter their destiny.

Realizing the Shadow Clan's power was now too great for either tribe to contend with alone, the humans and beastmen united to attack the Shadow Clan, promising them a hundred years of non-aggression in exchange for the Saintess and the Nether Dagger. However, their calculations proved erroneous. The Saintess personally led the Shadow Clan in a massive offensive. The combined forces of humans and beastmen engaged the Shadow Clan in a direct confrontation, resulting in heavy losses for both sides, including casualties among cultivators above the Mahayana stage. Though the Shadow Clan's victory was a pyrrhic one, it was a victory that lifted every member of the clan. The Shadow Clan were no longer the weak creatures forever relegated to darkness. They could now brave large-scale wars with dignity, even triumphing against a combined human and beast force. Even a narrow victory proved that the Shadow Clan was no longer the easily manipulated entity of the past, a cowardly entity. From that moment on, the Saintess's reputation soared. The human-beast alliance launched several offensives after this defeat, all of which ended in failure. Apparently realizing that a brute force attack would not force the Shadow Tribe to surrender the Saintess and the Nether Dagger, they began to spend a great deal of money to send assassins to steal the Nether Dagger and kidnap the Saintess. However, they never expected that the Saintess would fight alone against three, powerfully killing a human assassin who had reached the Great Perfection stage, forcing the two Beast Tribe Great Perfection cultivators to flee in panic.
