The time of the city

Chapter 6 She is nobler than you in every way

There has been more and more homework recently, and Mo Yu has to do it for five people. She really doesn't want to help them, but she still doesn't dare to resist.

After school, Mo Yu came to the car with a bulging schoolbag on her back. As soon as she sat down, Mo Yu took out five homework assignments and started writing furiously. At first, she was afraid of being discovered when she helped her classmates with their homework, but later she found that her brother was busy with dates and came later and later, so she had no scruples anymore.

Mo Yu finished a few questions and realized that the light in front of her was blocked. "Uncle Yang, I'm doing my homework. You're blocking my light."

"Are you sure you're not copying homework?" Ni Jiamu leaned forward slightly, his hands resting on his chair. Mo Yu looked up sharply at the sound of his voice, realizing she was very close to him. She saw his handsome face, magnified. But Mo Yu didn't have time to admire it now. She was more afraid and a little ashamed.

Neither copying homework nor helping others with it is a glorious thing to do. The former makes you look lazy and want something for nothing, while the latter is cowardly. These thoughts flashed through Mo Yu's mind, and she was so frightened that her lips turned pale and her whole body trembled as she hurriedly stuffed her homework into her schoolbag.

"Is it interesting, Moyu? I saw it all, what are you hiding? Your parents sent you to the best school and the best class, yet you're here copying homework? Uncle Yang said you're very hardworking and finish your homework in the car every day, and your parents praise you. Aren't you ashamed? No wonder you're doing your homework in the car. It turns out you're afraid you'll be caught if you do it at home. If I hadn't come here early today, you wouldn't have been discovered, right, Moyu?"

This was the first time that Ni Jiamu called her name, the first time that he said so many words to her, but every word was an accusation. Tears flowed down Mo Yu's cheeks, and she was afraid that Ni Jiamu would see them, so she hurriedly wiped them away with trembling hands.

But Ni Jiamu still saw it, "Why are you crying? Can't I say a few words to you? You still think you are right? Let me see whose homework you copied?" Ni Jiamu picked up one of the homework books and found it was blank. He turned to the first page and saw the three big words "Wu Mengxue" written on it.

"You wrote it for someone else?" Ni Jiamu's tone was noticeably gentler. Seeing that Mo Yu didn't answer, he continued to ask, "Did they pay you?"

"No... no, they will beat me if I don't help them write." Her voice became smaller and smaller as she spoke. She was ready to be laughed at by Ni Jiamu.

"Why didn't you tell my parents? Why didn't you tell me? Is your mouth sealed with tape every day when you go home with me? Am I dead?" After saying that, Ni Jiamu picked up the four exercise books and threw them out of the window.

"Uncle Yang, drive." Mo Yu wanted to get out of the car to pick up her homework book, but Ni Jiamu grabbed her back. "What are you afraid of? Ni Jiamu is not dead yet."

Mo Yu returned home trembling with fear. She thought Ni Jiamu would complain, but Ni Jiamu went straight back to his room as if nothing had happened.

The next morning, when Mo Yu finished her meal and got in the car, Ni Jiamu also got in. "Master, where are you going so early?" Uncle Yang had never seen Ni Jiamu go out so early, except for the last time when he took Mo Yu to register at the new school.

"Go to her school." Ni Jiamu glanced at Mo Yu and said. Mo Yu was particularly puzzled by Ni Jiamu's behavior, but she didn't say anything.

When Mo Yu arrived at school, Wu Mengxue and three other girls came bouncing towards her as soon as she entered the classroom. "Mo Yu, you're really late today. Give me your homework."

Mo Yu didn't say anything, just stood there with her schoolbag on her back. Wu Mengxue saw that Mo Yu ignored her, so she stepped forward and pushed her. "I'm talking to you. You didn't write it, did you?"

"She didn't write because I lost her homework book." When Ni Jiamu came back from the toilet, he saw Mo Yu being pushed by several girls. She just stood there with her schoolbag on her back, not saying a word or making any movements. It was really heartbreaking to see her.

"Why did you throw away our homework? I'll let my dad beat you to death." Wu Mengxue pointed at Ni Jiamu and yelled.

"As a student, you don't even do your homework. You might as well throw it away. Fine, let your dad beat me to death. I want to know what kind of parents could raise a child like that."

"You are not allowed to talk about my parents. My mother said that I am a princess and Mo Yu has to do my homework for me. She is from S City and she is very poor." Wu Mengxue said angrily with her hands on her hips.

"She is nobler than you in every way. Such a good class should not be affected by you kids." Ni Jiamu leaned against the back door of the classroom with half-closed eyes. His facial features were already delicate, and now he looked even more like a handsome man who was not worldly.

Many little girls stared at her with crazy expressions, "Mo Yu's brother is so handsome, I want to marry him when I grow up." "Don't snatch him away from me, I want to marry him."

Ni Jiamu ignored him and called the principal. Wu Mengxue was expelled, and the other three girls were demoted to Class C. After all, the small Wu family didn't dare to go against the Ni family, one of the four largest families in City A. As the largest investor in Milan International Elementary School, the Ni family had no choice but to do whatever the principal said.

After Ni Jiamu finished his business and stepped out of the classroom, Mo Yu chased after him and said, "Brother, thank you."

Ni Jiamu didn't stop and continued walking forward. Mo Yu thought he wouldn't reply to her like before, "Just don't embarrass the Ni family."

"I understand, brother," Mo Yu shouted towards Ni Jiamu's back.

Mo Yu felt particularly warm at this moment, and she liked this home more and more.
