The time of the city

Chapter 13 I'll Pick You Up From Now On

When they got home, Shang Xue took Mo Yu's schoolbag and said, "Xiao Yu, you must be exhausted. You've lost weight again. Are you surprised to see your brother?"

"Not bad," Mo Yu's expression was indifferent.

"Why are you unhappy, Xiaoyu? Did Amu upset you? Mommy made some chicken soup for you. Drink it while it's hot." Shang Xue brought out a bowl of delicious chicken soup from the kitchen, blew on it, and handed it to Moyu.

"Mom, why don't I get a share?"

"You little bastard, you've made my daughter unhappy. Do you think you still have a share?" Mo Yu glanced at Ni Jiamu out of the corner of her eye. She felt that Ni Jiamu would definitely tell Shang Xue about her love affair. He didn't seem like the kind of person who would be wronged for no reason.

"Well, I won't make her angry in the future." Ni Jiamu responded with a frown on his face. No one knew what he was thinking.

Shang Xue went to bed soon after, leaving the two of them alone in the large living room. "Why didn't you tell Mom?" Mo Yu put down the chicken soup and looked at Ni Jiamu seriously.

Ni Jiamu leaned on the sofa and crossed his legs. "What should I tell Mom?" After seven years, Ni Jiamu became more mature, the contours of his face became clearer, and his handsomeness seemed to be magnified several times.

"You know." I used to think Ni Jiamu had a weird personality, but now he even likes to play dumb. Mo Yu really can't see through him.

"Know what?" Ni Jiamu sat up straight with a faint smile on his face.

"Can you please stop pretending that I'm dating behind mom's back?" Mo Yu's voice became several times louder.

"You're speaking so loudly, are you afraid that Mom can't hear you? You feel so honored. I didn't say it just because I didn't want Mom to worry about you." After saying that, he ignored Mo Yu who was angry opposite him and went straight upstairs.

When Mo Yu finished her homework and was about to wash up, Gu Bai called her, "Xiao Yu, your brother didn't do anything to you, did he?" His words were full of worry.

"Gu Bai, I'm fine. I'm sorry my brother said that to you." Seeing Gu Bai so worried about her, Mo Yu felt even more guilty.

"It's okay, Xiaoyu. I love you very much and I won't give up on you." Moyu had never been chosen so firmly by someone before. Hearing Gu Bai's words, she was really moved and her eyes instantly moistened. The sky was like migratory birds flying south, and all rivers flowed into the sea. Moyu always hoped that someone would come for her, and now she felt that Gu Bai was that person.

"Thank you, Gu Bai. I won't give up on you." Adolescent boys and girls who are in love tend to make promises that they can't fulfill.

The next day, Mo Yu slept until ten o'clock before getting up. Senior year of high school was really not something that most people could endure, so the rare weekend became a day to catch up on sleep.

Mo Yu rubbed her sleepy eyes, put on thick bunny pajamas, and got up from the bed with difficulty. When she went downstairs, she found that Ni Jiamu was sitting on the sofa, neatly dressed, typing on his laptop.

Hearing the sound of Mo Yu coming downstairs, Ni Jiamu just looked up and immediately focused his attention on his computer.

Mo Yu didn't understand why Ni Jiamu was so busy. When she came to Ni's house, Ni Jiamu was in his senior year of high school. At that time, she didn't see Ni Jiamu for several days. Later, he went abroad. She heard from his mother that he was still very busy, so busy that he had no time to return home and no time to call his parents.

She felt from the bottom of her heart that Ni Jiamu had a bad character, but it was undeniable that he was really outstanding. After Ni Jiamu went abroad, she and Shang Xue went to his room to clean, and when she saw two boxes of honorary certificates, she couldn't help but admire him.

Arriving at the restaurant, Mo Yu saw the breakfast on the table and was about to eat it cold. Before her hands even touched the food, she said, "Heat it up before you eat. Don't be lazy."

Mo Yu thought, "I have a pair of clairvoyance." She then put her breakfast in the microwave.

After breakfast, Mo Yu went upstairs, packed some thick clothes, and was about to go out with her schoolbag on her back. "Why are you taking so many clothes? Are you running away from home?"

"I'm going back to school. The weather is getting colder. Bring some thick clothes." Mo Yu really didn't know why Ni Jiamu's words were so vicious.

"I've applied for day school for you. Someone has been sent to get your things from the dormitory. I'll pick you up at the school gate tonight." While Ni Jiamu was speaking, his eyes were fixed on the computer screen without even looking at Mo Yu.

"Why didn't you arrange for me to go to school as a day student without my consent? The schedule is very tight in the third year of high school. Going home will waste a lot of time. I can study more at school." Mo Yu was already angry about what happened yesterday. Now Ni Jiamu made the decision for her without her permission, which completely infuriated her.

Sensing the girl's anger, Ni Jiamu finally put down his computer, crossed his arms, and said calmly, "I'm doing this for your own good. Home conditions are much better than the dormitory, so you'll naturally be happier studying there. I was also a day student back then, and I didn't think there was anything wrong with it. Mo Yu, don't be so willful."

"Uncle Yang is going to the hospital to take care of his daughter, and you asked him to pick me up." Mo Yu couldn't argue with Ni Jiamu, so she had to change direction.

"Who said I asked Uncle Yang to pick you up? I will pick you up, and I will pick you up from now on." Ni Jiamu answered patiently. Mo Yu knew that nothing could be changed, so she left angrily with her schoolbag on her back.
