Mad Dog CEO and his beautiful assistant

Chapter 16 Either we live together or we die together!

"You idiot, do you want to call the police?" Lei Bao grabbed Scar's hunting rifle.

"Brother Leopard, I hit it."

Cang Yan was shot in the right shoulder. He endured the severe pain and staggered to his feet. Several bandits rushed up and surrounded him.

"Come on, beat me to death, and you won't get a penny!"

"Where's the other one?" Lei Bao then realized that Shen Qin was gone.

"A bunch of idiots." Cang Yan laughed softly. Under the bright moonlight, he looked like he had been fished out of blood.

Lei Bao immediately understood what was going on. Cang Yan deliberately screamed to divert people so that Shen Qin could escape safely.

"Damn it, how dare you play tricks on me?"

Cang Yan spat a mouthful of blood foam on Lei Bao's face, "What's wrong with playing tricks on you? Are you a piece of trash worthy of playing with me?"

"court death!"

Lei Bao punched Cang Yan so hard that he couldn't straighten his back and his internal organs were displaced.

"Where did you run to? You won't tell me, right? I'll cut off one of your arms first."

Suddenly, a scream echoed. It wasn't Cang Yan. The henchman responsible for removing the arm rolled over on the ground, clutching his arm. Another man appeared, holding a steel bar. The pale moonlight made his handsome face appear even paler, like a ghost demanding death.

"Why did you come back? Didn't I tell you not to look back?" Cang Yan shouted.

"That's a nice thing to say. But if you were dead and I were still alive, how would I explain it to the police?"

"..."

"Either we live together, or we die together!"

"Brother Leopard, everything would have been fine if you had let me get rid of him earlier!" Scar roared, "I'm going to kill him!"

Lei Bao's eyes were filled with murderous intent, "If you can't kill him, I'll kill you!"

Scar rushed towards Shen Qin with stubbornness, and Cang Yan kicked him away.

Young Master Cang has been practicing Sanda since he was a child. If his right arm hadn't been shot, he wouldn't have been beaten. His hand was broken, but his foot wasn't. This kick could break a person's bones.

"If you dare to touch him, I'll break your fingers one by one!"

Lei Bao sneered sinisterly, "I wanted to let you live one more day, but you're courting death. So, I'll let you become a pair of desperate mandarin ducks." He issued a killing order: "Leave no one alive."

The bandits surrounded him all at once. Shen Qin looked fair and gentle, but he was actually a ruthless man. He held the steel bar and smashed it accurately, like a white-faced devil, but he had to protect Cang Yan's arm.

Cang Yan, whose arm was broken, became even crazier. He was covered in blood like a devil from hell, but he was afraid that Shen Qin would be shot, so he couldn't help but be distracted.

Lei Bao and his gang were reckless and determined to kill the hostage. Lei Bao saw the opportunity and took out his knife to stab, but was hit on the head by a stone from Huang Mao.

"Damn it, you traitor! I've long suspected someone was behind this, and it was you!"

"Shame on you! Fuck you!" Huang Mao jumped up and down. "I'm a good young man who upholds the Five Principles and Four Good Behaviors, and you've forced me into this murderous and head-losing business! You take the money and I take the blame. I might even get shot. Do you think I'm stupid?"

"Brothers, don't be fooled by him! Save Young Master Cang, and you will have money and life to spend! Become cannon fodder for Lei Bao, and you won't even know how you died!" Huangmao took the lead in instigating rebellion. Originally, two of his men were his, and the other minions were also a little hesitant.

Amidst the chaotic battle, several dark figures descended from the sky, their attacks steady, accurate, and ruthless, instantly turning the tide of battle. Cang Yan, relieved, pulled Shen Qin away.

"My people are here." He grabbed Shen Qin's hand, "None of these bastards can escape."

Sirens wailed, and the battle ended.

Cang Yan grabbed a steel bar and smashed Scar's arm, breaking it. "Toad, there are some people you can't even think about!"

After his fierceness was released, Cang Yan could not stand for a moment and was finally carried into the police car.

The people who came were Cang Yan's bodyguards. Shen Qin then realized that the call Cang Yan made at that time was not to his father, but to his bodyguards.

"Crazy old man" was a code word agreed upon in advance just in case, and "bastard" was referring to the kidnappers.

The kidnapping case ended with all the kidnappers being arrested. It was Huangmao who called the police and he was the one who contacted the bodyguard to provide the address. With Cang Yan's clarification, Huangmao and his companions were successfully removed from the group of accomplices.

The kidnapping case that Cang Yan directed and acted himself but turned out to be real has come to an end. Cang Yan was left with injuries. What was he trying to gain?

In the police car, Cang Yan closed his eyes and was in a daze, but he still held Shen Qin tightly.

Shen Qin was also very tired and closed his eyes to take a nap.

"Shen Qin!!"

Cang Yan's sudden shout scared Shen Qin so much that she almost fell off her seat, and everyone in the car was startled.

"What are you yelling about?"

Cang Yan kept his eyes open but didn't say anything. His gaze was fixed on Shen Qin, which looked a little strange. It was hard to tell whether he was awake or not. He just held Shen Qin tightly and refused to let go.

"This is post-traumatic stress disorder," an experienced police officer concluded. "His case is relatively good. Some kidnappers wet their pants on the spot, while others are completely devastated after being rescued, broken down, and driven mad. We've seen it all." After all, in the kidnapping world, murder is commonplace. Being kidnapped is like going through the gates of hell; even if you make it out alive, you'll still be mentally disturbed.

Seeing that Cang Yan still refused to let go, the police officer said, "You must be the person he is closest to and trusts the most. Comfort him."

Shen Qin wanted to scold her father again. Who will comfort me? I am the most innocent one, okay?

Cang Yan went to the hospital and acted like a troublemaker again, refusing to undergo surgery no matter what.

"You have lost too much blood. You must undergo surgery as soon as possible." Shen Qin advised kindly.

"Patient, please cooperate." The doctor advised kindly.

Cang Yan's wits dropped instantly, "You ran away when I let go."

"Then don't have the surgery and become disabled! If you become disabled, I'll run away immediately."

"Sir, please don't provoke the patient." The doctor couldn't bear it any longer.

"I'm talking to him, what does it have to do with you?" Cang Yan asked the doctor.

doctor:"……"

"Then wait until I come out."

"it is good."

"Stay outside and don't run."

"it is good."

Cang Yan instructed the bodyguard, "Watch him!"

"Okay, boss."

Then, the bodyguard and Shen Qin stared at each other.

When Shen Qin saw Cang Yan again, he was sleeping quietly like a child.

Shen Qin only had some minor injuries and was not seriously injured. After being treated, she stayed by Cang Yan's bedside.

Looking back on the journey of the two of them, I can only sigh: what a bad fate.

Shen Qin continued the unfinished dream. In the dream, Cang Yan was jumping around like a mad dog blocking the road.

Since the gym incident, the two had no more conflicts. Shen Qin didn't want to see Cang Yan at all, but since that day, Cang Yan had appeared frequently.

The campus was huge, and the two of them had different schedules and grades, yet they kept bumping into each other. A freshman showing up in a senior's classroom—how could that even be called a coincidence? Cang Yan didn't challenge or make a scene, his eyes glued to Shen Qin.

At first, everyone around was watching the excitement. Cang Yan's presence was so strong, and the conflict between the two had become almost known to the entire school. Everyone thought Cang Yan was looking for trouble, but after several days, he remained quiet and peaceful, without any provocative behavior or verbal confrontation. Everyone had actually gotten used to it. Habits are really scary. If one day these seniors didn't see this freshman, they would find it strange.

It was impossible to listen to the class. Cang Yan basically had a few fixed postures: lying on the table with his head tilted to look at Shen Qin, supporting his chin with his head to look at Shen Qin, and turning his head and twisting his neck to look at Shen Qin.

There was no blind spot in all directions. Occasionally, Shen Qin's eyes met his, and Cang Yan did not avoid it. He stared at people with his black eyes, staring at them until Shen Qin wanted to dig out the other person's eyes.

At first, it was just full-court marking, but the boundary was broken after Shen Qin discovered that there was an extra bottle of drink on his seat for no apparent reason.

Black tea, green tea, scented tea, milk tea, juice, coffee—mainstream beverages took turns appearing on the market. Onlookers even started a guessing game, trying to figure out which drink would be on display the next day. This maneuver was truly incomprehensible, and no one knew what Cang Yan was up to.

Although Shen Qin was troubled, the situation was still under control. No matter what was on the table, she would not drink, touch, or pay attention to it. The only way to cope with the ever-changing world was to remain unchanged. But then, Shen Qin's life gradually got out of control, like a train that had run off the track, rushing towards an unknown direction.
