The delicate cannon fodder is stunning, saving the male supporting role but getting teased instead
Chapter 466: Entertainment Industry Male God & Amateur Little Transparent 05
The airport was brightly lit at five in the morning, and Wenrou quickly walked through the security area dragging her suitcase.
She had arrived two hours early, but after circling the gate three times, she still couldn't see Shen Che. On her phone, the message from her agent still remained unread: "Mr. Shen usually arrives early. Go find him in the VIP lounge."
Wenrou bit her lower lip and decided to look around again. Just as she turned around, a deep voice came from behind the pillar: "Wenrou."
She turned around suddenly and saw a tall figure wearing a black mask and a baseball cap.
The man leaned against the wall in the corner, his hat pulled low, revealing only a pair of amber eyes. But Wenrou recognized him almost immediately—it was Shen Che. She was so familiar with those eyes, she had seen them thousands of times in her dreams.
"Good morning." She trotted over, her fingers unconsciously twisting the straps of her backpack. "Have you had breakfast? I brought a packed lunch."
Shen Che was visibly stunned. He pulled down his mask and smiled faintly, "So thoughtful?" His voice was hoarse, like someone who had just woken up.
Wenrou pulled a cooler bag from her bag, which contained neatly stacked sandwiches and fruit. She had barely slept the previous night, repeatedly confirming that every ingredient was what Shen Che had mentioned he liked in the interview.
"Let's go," Shen Che put on his mask again and took her suitcase naturally, "Come with me to the lounge."
In fact, he could have waited for his assistant to notify him in the VIP room, but for some unknown reason he chose the ordinary waiting area this morning.
Now looking at Wenrou's cheeks which were slightly flushed because of jogging, he suddenly felt that this decision was correct.
The VIP lounge was much quieter than expected. Shen Che chose a window seat, where the morning light streamed through the floor-to-ceiling windows onto the dark gray carpet. He took off his hat, his hair a little messy, and looked much younger than he did on stage.
"Do you often catch flights so early?" Wenrou opened the lunch box carefully.
Shen Che took the sandwich she handed him, and their fingertips touched inadvertently: "I'm used to it. But you," he took a bite, "why did you apply for this job?"
The gentle hand paused. Of course, she couldn't tell the truth—because she suspected he was the man of her dreams. The agent's announcement for a personal assistant seemed like an opportunity tailor-made for her.
"I... like music very much." She answered vaguely and handed over a cup of warm soy milk.
Shen Che suddenly smiled, and fine lines appeared at the corners of his eyes. "You said the same thing during the interview." He took a sip of soy milk. "But other applicants at least mentioned my songs."
Wenrou's ears burned. Just as she was about to explain, the announcement of boarding suddenly rang out. Shen Che stood up and put the empty lunch box into his bag. "Let's go. On the way, you can tell me why you always cry when you listen to my songs."
Wenrou looked up in surprise.
Shen Che has already walked towards the boarding gate, his back as straight as a pine tree.
The sunlight filtered through the glass curtain wall, giving his outline a golden edge, and in a trance, it overlapped with the figure standing under the cherry tree in her dream.
As the plane took off, Wenrou looked out the window at the city that was gradually getting smaller.
For the first time in three months, she no longer doubted the reality of her dreams.
Because at this moment, Shen Che, who was sitting next to her with his eyes closed, was unconsciously tapping the armrest with his right hand - that was the small movement of the person in her dream when he was thinking.

The plane climbed smoothly to cruising altitude and the lights in the cabin dimmed a bit.
Wenrou turned her head quietly and saw Shen Che with his eyes closed, his long eyelashes casting a small shadow under his eyes. His breathing was light, but his brows were slightly furrowed, and he seemed to be in discomfort.
Wenrou remembered that he mentioned in the interview that he had mild flying sickness.
She gently pressed the service bell and the flight attendant came over quickly.
"A glass of warm water and a blanket, please," she said, her voice low. "And a hot towel."
The stewardess nodded knowingly and quickly brought what she had requested. Wenrou took the blanket, carefully unfolded it, and gently covered Shen Che with it. He stirred slightly, but did not wake up.
At this time, the plane encountered a gust of air and began to shake slightly.
Che's brows furrowed even more, and his fingers unconsciously gripped the armrest. Wenrou hesitated for a moment, then took out a small bottle from her bag, poured a drop of essential oil onto a tissue, and gently placed it on the small table in front of Shen Che.
The fragrance of lavender slowly spread, and Shen Che's brows gradually relaxed. He opened his eyes slightly and looked at Wenrou with some confusion.
"Lavender essential oil," Wenrou explained softly, "can relieve discomfort."
Shen Che's eyes fell on the warm water cup and hot towel on the small table, and his eyes softened a little: "Thank you." His voice was a little hoarse, and when he took the water cup, his fingertips touched the gentle hand, "You are very considerate."
"It should be." Wenrou's ears felt slightly hot, and she took out a small box from her bag. "And this, mint candy, is also helpful for tinnitus."
Shen Che took the candy and gently brushed his fingertips across her palm.
He peeled off the candy wrapper and put the candy in his mouth. The coolness of the mint made his expression relax a lot.
"Are you always this well prepared?" he asked, curiosity in his voice.
Wenrou lowered her head to pack her backpack to hide her nervousness: "It's just... I'm used to thinking more."
Shen Che suddenly leaned over and reached out to turn on the reading light above her head. "Too dim a light is bad for your eyes." He leaned in close, the faint scent of cedar on his body lingering on her gentle nose. "Also, I want to see clearly what other treasures you have with you."
The distance made Wenrou's heart beat faster. She hurriedly opened the side pocket of her backpack: "There are also motion sickness medicine, earplugs, eye mask..."
Shen Che chuckled, his warm breath brushing against her ears: "Did I hire a Doraemon as an assistant?"
Wenrou couldn't help but smile, and her tension dissipated a lot.
She noticed that Shen Che's blanket had slipped a little, and subconsciously reached out to tidy it up.
Her fingers accidentally touched his shoulder, and she could feel his body temperature through his thin shirt. Shen Che did not move away, but instead leaned slightly towards her.
"Want to watch a movie?" Wenrou suggested, trying to divert her attention. "I downloaded a few."
Shen Che nodded: "You choose."
Wenrou handed him a pair of headphones, and the two of them gathered together to watch an old movie playing on the tablet.
When the scene of the hero and heroine reuniting in the rain was played, Wenrou found that Shen Che's expression was a little dazed.
