Coming to the StarCraft to Be a Kindergarten Teacher: Perfect Transformation
Chapter 59 Preliminary Round
Last night, I spent a long, late night chatting with Daphne and Lotta. This morning, I was up before dawn. As Daphne had arranged, Lotta stayed behind to take care of the children, while I accompanied her to Snow Star Love Nursery School to draw the order for the preliminary round.
When we arrived at Snow Star Love Nursery School, I was struck by its scale. Rather than a nursery, it's more like a science museum. Entering the nursery, the first thing that caught my eye was the hall, brimming with technological sophistication. As I walked through, I could barely detect any hint of childishness.
We then arrived at their lecture hall. It was brightly lit, and the massive stage was a striking sight. It completely overturned my perception of traditional kindergarten. After settling into our seats, Daphne and I waited for our names to be called.
Finally, it was our turn. Daphne sat there motionless, simply glancing at me and motioning for me to go draw lots. However, at all preschools, the principal usually drew lots, so it seemed inappropriate for me to do so. Seeing that I didn't react, Daphne gently nudged me, a look of determination in her eyes.
I stood up and slowly walked to the front of the stage. I extended my finger and gently tapped the computer in front of the podium. Instantly, the huge projection screen above the stage began to flash, and then the words "Ceres Love Nursery School No. 28" were clearly displayed.
The Empire has a total of thirty-five Aixin Nursery Schools, and we were drawn number twenty-eight, which is a bit far back. I couldn't help but worry. What if the judges were already tired from watching the performances and didn't pay enough attention to our preliminary performance, resulting in our elimination? The thought filled me with guilt. If I had drawn a better number, perhaps the situation would be different.
Daphne, standing by, seemed to notice my low mood. She gently patted my shoulder and said soothingly, "Sui Sui, don't overthink it. We've already prepared for this competition with all our might. As long as we give our best, no matter what the final result is, we won't regret it. After all, we've worked hard for this goal before."
I nodded slightly in agreement at Daphne's words. Although I still felt a little uneasy, I knew she was right. We can't let the draw result affect our confidence and performance. The most important thing now is to adjust our mindset, fully focus on the upcoming matches, and give our best. No matter what the final outcome, at least we can say with a clear conscience that we gave it our all.
After the drawing of lots, everyone was ready to leave the scene, but at this moment, the principals of several other kindergartens gathered around and started chatting with Daphne.
"Daphne, why did you let a teacher draw lots this time?" one of the principals asked curiously.
Daphne explained with a smile, "You all know my physical condition. After this competition, I need to rest and recuperate for a while. So, I decided to bring this newcomer along to give her more experience."
Then, Daphne turned her gaze to Li Yuansui, who was standing nearby, and introduced her to the others, "This is Teacher Li Yuansui, whom I want to introduce to you. She will be in charge of the Ceres Love Nursery School from now on. You can call her 'Sui Sui' like I do!"
Hearing this, the other principals couldn't help but reveal surprised expressions. However, Daphne continued, "Don't underestimate Sui Sui! She was the one who came up with and planned all the exciting Dragon Boat Festival activities at our kindergarten!"
Daphne's words were filled with admiration and confidence in me, which impressed everyone present. I felt a little shy when I saw the looks from the principals, but my eyes gleamed with determination, as if I was filled with confidence and anticipation for the work ahead.
I took a deep breath and tried to relax. Meanwhile, the principals of other kindergartens came over to talk to Daphne, asking about her health. Daphne smiled and replied, telling them that I would be in charge of Ceres Love Kindergarten from now on.
I felt a little nervous, as this was my first time meeting other principals as the head teacher. But I still walked up to them, shook hands with them one by one, and introduced myself.
One of the principals curiously asked about the creative ideas for the Dragon Boat Festival activities, and I briefly introduced them. They all expressed their appreciation, which gave me some confidence back.
After our conversation, Daphne and I left Snow Star Love Nursery School. On the way back, I secretly made up my mind to work hard on my next job and live up to Daphne's trust.
Back at the hotel, I immediately shared my experience with Lotta.
"The preliminary round is on the 28th, and Principal Daphne has announced that I will be in charge of the nursery from now on." My tone was filled with excitement and a hint of worry.
Lotta's face was filled with a warm smile, her eyes revealing determination and trust. She patted my shoulder gently and said encouragingly, "You can do it, Sui Sui. I understand your inner concerns. You think this arrangement isn't fair to me. After all, I've been at the nursery longer than you have. But this time, Principal Daphne decided to put you in charge, and you were worried that I would be unhappy or resentful. However, that's not the case. You're worrying too much."
"Before coming to Snow Star, Director Daphne had an in-depth conversation with me. Through that communication, I clearly realized my personality traits and ability limitations. I understand that I am more suitable for playing a supporting role, and in some key decision-making and creative conception, I am indeed not as good as you." Lotta said frankly.
I tried to interject, to express my own opinion, but Lotta quickly cut me off. She waved her hand and continued, "Sui Sui, no need to explain. I know what you're trying to say, but this is reality. I'm well aware of the limits of my abilities and can view everything objectively. Because of this, I firmly believe that assisting you is the most appropriate choice. In the days ahead, let's work together to make Ceres Love Nursery School even better. Furthermore, the Dragon Boat Festival event was a huge success, so this competition will surely be no problem!" Her words revealed confidence and anticipation for the future.
I nodded and looked at him gratefully. "Thank you, Lotta. I feel more confident with your support."
Over the next two days, Lotta and I threw ourselves headfirst into preparing for the preliminary round. From choosing costumes and props, finalizing dialogue and movement, to adjusting the stage lighting... we meticulously considered and polished every detail that might impact the final performance, striving to transform this preliminary round into a near-perfect work of art.
At the same time, I also made full use of all my free time and actively asked Daphne, an experienced senior, for knowledge and skills about team management. I also constantly thought and summarized based on my own actual situation, in order to improve my comprehensive ability and business level as soon as possible.
Time flies, and the day of the preliminary rounds is almost here. I arrived early that morning, standing behind the stage, doing final checks and confirmations. As the showtime drew closer, my already nervous excitement grew even more intense. After all, this was my first time leading such an important event, and I was deeply concerned that any mistakes I made would impact the team's performance and the final result.
However, my worries proved completely unfounded. As the curtain slowly opened, the children, like a group of adorable elves, took center stage, captivating the audience with their innocent smiles and captivating performance. Deafening applause instantly resounded throughout the venue. Watching this scene, a profound sense of accomplishment welled up in my heart, bringing tears to my eyes.
In the end, we successfully passed the preliminary round with this near-perfect performance and qualified for the finals. I know that even more severe tests and challenges await us ahead, but after this preliminary round, I am now fully prepared to face all difficulties and obstacles!
