Coming to the StarCraft to Be a Kindergarten Teacher: Perfect Transformation
Chapter 43 Interstellar History
After listening to Wei'er's story, I couldn't help but fall into deep thought. So much has happened since I accidentally arrived in interstellar space in 2024! The nuclear wastewater released by Country R initially only affected some marine life. Since our Yun Province isn't near the ocean, the impact on my parents and family shouldn't be significant. Before I arrived in interstellar space, my parents were already fifty-six, my brother was only twenty-six, and my grandmother was seventy-four. Before they left this world, Earth was still beautiful. Please don't blame me for thinking this way. After all, we are all selfish. As long as my loved ones are safe, I can hardly imagine or consider their future generations.
Over the ensuing years, more than a hundred years passed. It seemed that Blue Planet had finally begun its revenge against the humans who had harmed it—a devastating catastrophe erupted on Blue Planet! This sudden catastrophe ravaged Blue Planet's once beautiful ecosystem, leaving it completely shattered. Humanity was plunged into despair, finding it difficult to survive on this land.
Faced with such a dire situation, the governments of the Blue Planet countries were forced to urgently launch a special action plan called "Project Ark." According to this plan, a lucky few were able to board the space station and, filled with hope and longing, embarked on a journey into the vast universe, attempting to explore and build new homes on other planets.
However, despite the advanced and mature technology of Blue Planet at the time, when humans truly set foot in the vast starry sky, they were suddenly shocked to realize how unfathomable the universe is, filled with endless unknowns and variables. No one could accurately foresee the challenges and difficulties they would encounter in this vast expanse of space.
Ultimately, the "Ark Project" failed to achieve its desired success. The vast majority of humans who left Blue Planet tragically perished in space, languishing forever in the cold, dark void. A handful of survivors, after untold hardships and akin to searching for a needle in a haystack, discovered a mysterious, habitable galaxy. This distant galaxy surprisingly resembled Blue Planet, boasting not only clear fresh water and fresh air but also a variety of bizarre mutant creatures. It was like an uncultivated primeval forest, waiting for human exploration and conquest...
To survive, all the survivors, regardless of nationality or skin color, worked together to fight for survival. They formed the Survivors' Alliance and conducted in-depth exploration and research of the planet they had landed on. Through their tireless efforts, they successfully eliminated all the ferocious beasts that threatened their lives. After a decade of arduous struggle, the people finally built Snow Planet, now the capital of the Empire, into a beautiful and habitable home.
During this decade, unmarried men and women, regardless of their nationality, who found love with each other, would walk down the aisle and build happy families. Therefore, although the empire's predecessor was Country Z, it now houses people of all colors and surnames.
Country Z, a true infrastructure enthusiast, embarked on a new expedition, joining forces with other nations to colonize more planets, once construction on Snow Planet was nearly complete. Facing a crisis of survival, everyone worked together to overcome the difficulties. However, as the situation stabilized, conflicts between the nations gradually surfaced. Ten years later, with the nearby planets no longer in danger, leaders of various nations decided to lead their peoples to build their own homelands.
By this time, Snow Planet had become a coveted target, but Country Z was no longer the humble nation it once was. During the interstellar journey, aside from a few elderly people who were unwilling to leave Blue Planet and those who sacrificed their lives heroically during the exploration of space, Country Z had the largest remaining population of any nation. Furthermore, Country Z made a significant contribution to the construction of Snow Planet. Eventually, all the planets expanding outward from Snow Planet became part of the Empire's territory, and Wei'er's ancestors were among them. After careful consideration, their family chose to settle on the planet I now stand on—Ceres.
It's now the 950th year of the Star Calendar. Back when humanity first set foot in interstellar space, the limited supplies they brought with them, coupled with encounters with black holes and cosmic turbulence, led to the loss of some vital data and species forever in the vast universe. The resources brought into space were also nearly completely consumed during the subsequent construction. Although some experienced individuals later successfully created a variety of Earth-style condiments, in those difficult times when every second counted and time was life itself, people's taste for food was no longer as demanding as it once was. Instead, they prioritized foods that didn't require excessive preparation but were nutritionally balanced.
My heart was once again filled with emotion. Although I had learned some interstellar history with the help of my computer after being discharged from the hospital, the shock of hearing this information from a human mouth far surpassed the cold words on the computer. After calming down for a few minutes, I asked Wei'er again, "Wei'er, do you have your own unique views on the food in the empire today? Can you share them with me?" I hoped her answer would confirm my inner suspicions.
"Sui Sui, every planet in the Empire now has a renowned restaurant, each with its own unique menu. Take Ceres, for example. The most famous is undoubtedly the Yushan Pavilion chain. Its main store is on Snow, with branches on every planet in the Empire. Interestingly, they even have the same Cuckoo's Foot you once cooked! However, compared to your own, the taste is slightly inferior, lacking that richness. As for the potatoes you mentioned, or "earthen fruit," they're mostly boiled or fried. You should have noticed during your recent visits to the store that the most popular items are often potatoes, meat, and other ingredients. Although all the seasonings are available, few people buy them. After all, most people only want their food cooked. Vegetables and fruits do get bought, but in small quantities, as we can still meet our vitamin needs through nutrient solutions."
