Coming to the StarCraft to Be a Kindergarten Teacher: Perfect Transformation
Chapter 161 Homestay
After editing the video, I sat in front of the computer, looking at the images on the screen, and a sense of accomplishment surged in my heart. However, this sense of accomplishment did not last long, because I realized that there was another important task waiting for me next - recording stories for children.
My children are currently listening to Journey to the West, and they are full of love and anticipation for this classic story. However, I am troubled by the question of what kind of stories I should tell them after Journey to the West ends.
I began to think about all the different types of stories, from fairy tales to science fiction, from adventure to fantasy. Each has its own unique charm and appeal. Fairy tales can bring children beautiful fantasies and warm emotions; science fiction can stimulate their curiosity and imagination; adventure stories can cultivate their courage and resilience; and fantasy stories can take them into a mysterious and magical world.
However, choosing the right story is not easy. I need to consider the children's age, interests, and psychological development stage. At the same time, I also hope to convey positive values and life lessons through these stories to help them grow and learn.
After careful consideration, I decided to start with some easy-to-understand stories, such as "Drawing a Snake and Adding Feet" and "Waiting for the Rabbit by the Tree." These stories often have clear themes and morals, helping children develop positive values. Then, I'll gradually introduce more complex and challenging stories to stimulate their thinking and creativity.
In addition, I also plan to include some stories related to real life, such as stories about friendship, family, and bravely facing difficulties, etc. This will not only help children better understand society and human nature, but also cultivate their emotional cognition and interpersonal communication skills.
Ultimately, I decided to adjust my story selection based on the children's feedback. If they showed a strong interest in a particular type of story, I would prioritize stories similar to that to meet their needs. After all, the children are the ultimate audience for the stories, and their preferences and reactions are undoubtedly key factors in my storytelling.
Although this question still bothers me a little, I firmly believe that as long as I explore wholeheartedly and make sufficient preparations, I will definitely find wonderful stories suitable for children. I can't wait to see their happy smiles when they are immersed in the stories, and the knowledge and growth they gain from them.
I've already recorded some short stories of this kind, and now I need some longer stories. After some screening, I still think I should start with Chinese studies, so I chose the "Brave Mountains and Seas Series" as the theme for the next story.
After recording my story, I felt a bit exhausted and wanted to get out and relax. Despite having lived on Ceres for months, I'd barely seen much of it. While its geography was similar to my own, I yearned to get out and explore this unique planet. So, I approached Ferro and Lillian and shared my vision. To my surprise, they were incredibly supportive, and we hit it off. I then contacted Veil and told her about my plan. Unfortunately, Veil couldn't come with us this time, as she had some unfinished classes to finish before the semester started. So, it was just Ferro, Lillian, and I on this trip. While Veil was sad she couldn't join us, I promised her I'd bring back some delicious food. After saying goodbye to Veil, Lillian, Ferro, and I rented a hovercar and began our road trip. We sped along a wide road, flanked by magnificent mountains. The wind caressed our faces, bringing a refreshing breeze and a refreshing feeling.
Along the way, we laughed and shared interesting stories with each other. Ferro acted as our guide and introduced us to the unique features of Ceres.
Suddenly, a mysterious forest appeared in front of the car. The trees were tall and dense. Lillian excitedly shouted, "Let's go in and take a look!" So we drove into the forest.
The forest was filled with thick fog, making us feel like we had entered another world. We moved forward cautiously, looking forward to the unknown adventure.
After driving a distance, the hovercraft became too dense for further movement due to the forest's growing trees. So, we decided to lock the vehicle and exit to make our way back inside. Although the forest was thick with fog, we were assured it was safe. A hovercraft can't enter dangerous areas, and the fact that it could do so indicated its safety. However, for safety's sake, the three of us stayed together and didn't get separated. We approached the light, which grew brighter as we drew closer. We saw it was a guesthouse, surrounded by vines and flowers, resembling a fairytale cottage. In front of the house was a small garden filled with a variety of exotic plants.
We decided to stay the night and explore this mysterious place. Entering the house, we found the living room was warm and elegant. There was a soft sofa in the corner, and old maps and photos hung on the wall.
"It looks like there have been many visitors here." Lillian said curiously.
"Maybe we can find some clues about this forest." Ferro said as he looked around.
"There's water and food here," Lillian said.
Just then, we heard a slight noise, like someone whispering...
"Are you guys here to stay?" an abrupt voice rang out, shattering the night's tranquility. We looked in the direction of the voice and saw a young man standing there, smiling at us. He was the son of the B&B owner, helping out with the store during the holidays. The previous voice had come from him, watching a video from behind the counter.
Since our road trip was a spur-of-the-moment decision, we weren't fully prepared. By the time we packed up and arrived, it was almost 8:30 p.m. I smiled apologetically and said to him, "I'm so sorry to interrupt your video."
"It's okay." The boss's son raised his lips slightly, revealing a gentle smile. "How long do you plan to stay here? There are only two rooms left."
"Two days." Ferro replied calmly, with a hint of anticipation in his eyes. "Can you let us see the room first?"
"Of course," the owner's son responded enthusiastically, leading us up the stairs to the second floor. He expertly opened the doors to two rooms, revealing a clean and welcoming atmosphere. Each room had a spacious window, offering a view of the lush forest outside.
"Let's take these two." I nodded in approval and then asked, "So, how much is the price for one night?"
"Three hundred yuan." The boss's son replied with a smile.
After paying the room fee, we carried our luggage into the room, sorted it out a bit, and then went downstairs to the living room. The owner's son brought us two cups of steaming hot tea and invited us to sit down and rest for a while.
"Do you have any special travel plans?" the boss's son asked curiously, a friendly glint in his eyes. "Actually, there are some attractions nearby worth visiting."
"We just want to take a stroll and explore; we don't have any specific plans," Lillian explained with a smile. "By the way, you mentioned it rained heavily this afternoon. I wonder if it will continue to rain tomorrow?" "I don't know," the boss's son shook his head. "The weather here is unpredictable. But it's usually foggy in the mornings."
"I see..." I said thoughtfully, "Thank you."
"You're welcome." The boss's son smiled politely and gently, and said, "You should go to bed early. If you need any help, you can call me at any time." His voice was low and magnetic, which made people feel good about him.
