Demon Lord 3
Chapter 947 Where is the kindness?
After Wang Min finished speaking, I had nothing to say in response. After all, in my heart, kindness isn't a compliment. Sometimes I even laugh at it. I believe that kind people are often bullied, and kind horses are often ridden. In my eyes, this kind of word is just an excuse for the weak, not a powerful one. But when I actually opened the dictionary and saw this word, I discovered that many kind people experience good rewards. But do good rewards truly come to kind people? Reality tells me that this is all survivor bias. Every kind person's experience is because they survived and gained benefits, and only then are they recorded. Who would expose their pain and scars to others again and again? Every time I can tell others about something, even if others think it is a scar or a wound, this person may not think so at all. His true pain cannot be shown to outsiders. For example, there is a person who was cheated and said that she was cheated by her boyfriend from another city, and then told everyone about it. Everyone sympathized with this girl, but after hearing this story, I first felt sympathy, but I didn’t think so. If she was really cheated and didn’t want to mention it, how would others know? When I was in school, a classmate in the class was rumored to have had an affair with a male classmate. Every time this girl heard it, she would get furious, and the rumor spread even more in the class. But when the girl told another story, I didn’t care whether it was deliberately made up or true. She told about a person outside the school. After that, no one spread the story about her and the person outside the school, and slowly the story about the boy in the class faded. I was curious and asked others if they knew that the story was impossible, so they didn’t spread the rumor. But the girl later told me that it was not the case at all because those people hadn’t seen it. Almost everyone would say no, but if someone around them had seen it, they would definitely say yes. I didn’t quite understand at the time. I didn't understand their mentality, but later I realized their kindness was actually hypocrisy. They assumed everyone around them was right, and they believed that those who were easily bullied deserved to be bullied. As time went by, I also felt that kindness shouldn't be applied to anyone, so I didn't label anyone. I rarely used the word "kind" to describe someone unless I thought they were truly kind. In that case, I might only use "shan" because I believe "good" and "kindness" are two different things. "Shan" can describe everything good about a person, but adding the word "liang" makes it seem a bit exaggerated. After thinking about it all, I still can't respond with normal language. Yeah, besides the word "kindness," I just mentioned "angels." In my mind, the word "angel" probably came from the West, so it's completely different from ours and difficult to explain. Continuing with the word "kindness," if I praise those people and call them so-called kind, then what they're doing is evil, but what is the definition of evil? Does simply doing some illegal things constitute complete evil? Sometimes people look at others through tinted glasses, which is truly despicable. They may have reformed, but society doesn't recognize them, and they don't benefit from it. Some people ask, "What else can these people do besides stealing and robbing? Can't they just work a normal job?" I sneer. It's not that they don't want to work a normal job, but that people with criminal records simply can't find a job. Many people treat them like thieves, forcing them to steal and rob. If the world doesn't give them a chance to reform, how can they truly change? I have also wandered in the secular world for many years before, but I have never been able to fully accept the so-called education system. When I was in school, I devoted almost all my energy to my studies. There was no so-called rote learning, but I mastered a lot of social skills in school. In fact, the system in the school is just like the system in society. The teacher is the supreme king there. This metaphor is sometimes not right. I am referring to some teachers here, not all of them. Some teachers will talk about a small thing and always tell students not to laugh at each other, but they themselves often laugh at their classmates. Whenever there is a hint of ridicule when talking to the teacher, the teacher will definitely magnify the matter infinitely and say that you are disrespectful to teachers and will have no future.
