Demon Lord 3
Chapter 1784: True Transformation
Zheng Tianlong asked me what I thought about this. I said that no matter what, I couldn't abandon the donkey after it had served its purpose. Even if everything was accomplished and all the plans were successful, even at the fifth level of the concept, the powerful wouldn't truly give up their positions, and a world without class restrictions would emerge. He asked me, "Does the world really need classes?" I said that if there were no positivity in the world, perhaps there would be no motivation or joy in living, and the final step would only be a fantasy. If classes were truly eliminated, perhaps everyone would live an unhappy life, with everyone having aspirations and goals. Just like if there were no real limits to identity and everyone became robots, the world would be in chaos. Why are robots designed with different characteristics from the beginning? For example, some robots are just for sweeping, some for cooking, and some can sing and dance. Each robot has a different function. There are also those that are all-rounders, but they sell for a higher price. These things have only happened in the past few years. Robots are called robots because, although they are machines, they are invented in the human form. They not only look like humans, but they also live like humans. Why do they have to be invented in a human way? If robots are invented without human intervention, they will be invincible and omnipotent, but they can also harm people. For a real robot, the first and foremost requirement is that it must never harm humans. If a robot can imprison bad actors, that would be very useful for arresting criminals. But think about this from the other side: are they necessarily bad actors? What if they are good actors? If we don't define people in terms of good or bad, but only in terms of wrongdoing, let's say a robot is trying to act as a security guard at home. Someone suddenly breaks in and tries to commit a crime. The robot is programmed to drive the person away, trap them, or kill them. Each command can lead to a completely different interpretation of the situation. For example, if the robot kills the person, who will be held responsible? What if the person isn't a bad actor, but simply a friend of the owner, but hasn't yet been registered with the robot's system? Therefore, robots must never attack humans, no matter what. After all, humans are the sole rulers of this world. If even the rulers could be changed at will, all previous rulers would be wiped out. Otherwise, the new generation of rulers would be unable to continue living in this way. To achieve true peers, in addition to the issue of race, there's also the issue of trust. Animals can't become rulers because humans have advanced technology and intelligence. But once robots emerge, human technology and intelligence will far surpass them. Many machine systems will now have unprecedented capabilities. Things that might take humans thousands or even tens of thousands of years to research, robots can accomplish in minutes. In the field of computers, development may have both advantages and disadvantages for humans. Zheng Tianlong told me not to worry, because true machines are only developed at the fourth level, and in this world, most still require human and material resources. But I told him that perhaps this isn't the case. The first, second, and third levels, if developed successfully, will soon reach the fourth level. If the fourth level isn't properly controlled, the fifth level will be unimaginable. Once robots become prevalent in this world, it will be a true transformation, but the true transformation lies far in human thinking. If I were to understand it, the first level is about how to utilize those people, the second level is about how to further scale the third level and exploit resources on a large scale, the fourth level is about bringing machines to a peak in science, and the fifth level is about transcending the spiritual world beyond 1, 2, 3, and 4. Each level is the sum of all these. Once this transformation occurs, it seems as if one's entire value system will be overturned. Not only will material possessions be altered, but perhaps even our lives will be completely transformed. This is especially true in our current position. We can use our power to help more people, but if those people become leaders, will they continue to make selfless contributions like us? Some questions don't bear scrutiny, like our current position: is it awkward or balanced?
