As the birdsong grew louder, Tia's pace couldn't help but quicken.

But as they walked forward, a small path clearly appeared in front of them. Tia couldn't help but stop, and Juno and Fina who were following behind also stopped.

Fina pointed at the cave in front of them and said, "What kind of bird is singing in a cave... so loudly?"

As Fina was talking, she felt a little lacking in confidence. She looked at the other two people with serious expressions and silently closed her mouth.

Tia looked at the cave where no light could be seen, and her thoughts went back and forth in her mind.

Joel has been missing for so many days, does he still have the magic to blow the whistle?

But no matter whether it was Joel in the cave or not, as long as there was someone else inside, maybe we could find out the whereabouts of his brother.

Can anyone who can survive in such a dangerous place really be a good person?

But if nothing is done, all clues will be lost.

……

When Tia closed her eyes and opened them again, she no longer hesitated. She took a firm step and prepared to walk inside.

"You two just wait outside. If anything happens to me, leave here immediately and tell my father or Jurgen and the others."

"I'll go in with you." The two said in unison, even though there was a trap in front of them.

"If nothing unexpected happens, all this should be aimed at me. You two will be fine if you don't go in." Tia shook her head and disagreed with their ideas.

"But look at you now, you're covered in wounds. Who can you beat? If it weren't for the two of us, going in would be like committing suicide." Fina tried her best to ignore Tia's torn clothes and bleeding wounds.

She could calmly accept that Tia wanted to do her best for her brother, but she could not accept that she had to give up her friend.

"Stop talking, let's go in together. Even if we two don't go in with you now, if we go back the same way, who knows what will appear next?"

Juno saw the struggle in Tia's eyes and changed her words to try to convince Tia.

Tia thought that there must be more things in such a large forest, so she finally compromised.

"Then you two must pay attention to safety. If anything unexpected happens, leave immediately and don't worry about others. Only when someone escapes can there be hope for others."

Juno and Fina both nodded. Although they said so on the surface, they both knew that they would not give up their friends unless it was the last moment.

Tia saw that there was really no light inside, so she lit a torch outside, and then the three of them walked in along the stone wall.

Unexpectedly, except for the very dark part at the beginning, the cave became very bright after turning two corners.

Tia held the torch and looked at the person lying on the bed, tears streaming down her face.

"Brother..." Tia pounced on him.

Hoel, lying on the bed, had a pale face, no blood on his lips, and his clothes were torn and stained with blood. Only the faint rise and fall of his chest proved that he was still alive.

"Brother!" Tia cried loudly.

"Who are you?" Juno's voice seemed particularly abrupt amid the cries echoing throughout the cave.

Tia and Fina both turned their heads unconsciously, looked at Juno, and then looked in the direction of Juno.

Amidst the flickering light and shadow, a man slowly walked out holding a mechanical bird in his hand.

Everyone suddenly became alert, and Tia hugged Joel tightly.

I don't know when the birds stopped singing, and there was only deathly silence around.

"Don't be so nervous. I am your brother's savior after all." The man was wearing a black cloak. The wide hood covered most of his face, and only the corners of his slightly curved mouth could be seen.

"Who are you?" Tia felt that the voice sounded particularly familiar, and the next second a name suddenly appeared in her mind, "Austin?"

"It seems Miss Tia still remembers me?" Austin lowered his hood. "Don't you think it's fate? I said we would meet again."

Tia stared at Austin intently. The last Halloween experience was not a pleasant one, and she had no idea where this person came from.

"Who wants to have this fate with you? You made Tia so embarrassed last Halloween. Not to mention that you are hiding here now. Who knows if you are the one behind all this?"

Fina's face turned unhappy after hearing Austin admit that he was Austin. She had not forgotten the joke she made last Halloween.

Juno listened to this encrypted conversation in a daze, and suddenly some rumors came to her mind. Then she didn't look at Austin in a good mood.

"I'm your brother's savior. There's no need to look at me like that, right?" Austin said with an innocent expression as he approached Tia.

Tia took out the dagger in her hand and pointed it at Austin. "What do you want to do? Or what do you want in exchange?"

"There's no need to treat me like this. I just suddenly wanted to do a good deed." Austin said as he took a few steps forward and pushed away Tia's dagger with his fingertips. "I'm returning your brother's whistle to you."

Tia put the dagger back and quickly took the whistle back with her other hand.

Austin clapped his hands together, shook his head, and took a few steps back.

"I've been taking care of your brother these past few days. Since you don't trust me, I'll just step back. If you're worried that I'm greedy for something, why not just say I'm greedy for you to take me out? After all, you've come all this way and you should know how dangerous it is out there."

Austin's indifferent attitude made Tia wonder if she was being too suspicious, but it was better to kill someone by mistake than to let him go. Having such a person around was like a time bomb.

"If you want to come with us, you can. Let us tie you up."

"Why do you bring such a thing with you? If any danger really happens, you will have to push us out immediately." Fina couldn't believe what she heard.

Juno pulled Fina's arm and winked at her.

Fina curled her lips and thought, forget it, it was just that she didn't realize something.

"Didn't I tell you to tie me up? If anything unexpected happens, you can just leave me here. Doesn't that make you feel more at ease? After all, I did a good thing, otherwise your brother would have died out there."
