Legacy: Miracle

Chapter 97: The Maze of the Time Corridor

Inside Xingchen Academy, towering ancient trees and the fragrance of books filled the air. Yun Yi sat alone in a corner of the academy library, tightly clutching a yellowed, ancient map, his eyes gleaming with determination and curiosity. He had stumbled upon this map while sorting through ancient books. On it, an ancient and mysterious rune marked a little-known location: the "Time Corridor."

"It's said there's a treasure there that can predict the future," Yun Yi whispered to himself, his curiosity and desire burning like wildfire, unstoppable. He knew the impending crisis would require a more powerful force to deal with, and this map might be the key to a breakthrough.

Thinking of this, Yun Yi stood up and decided to invite his best friends Kevin and Arya to embark on this unknown adventure together.

As the morning light broke, the three of them were ready to go. Yun Yi held a longsword, his gaze blazing; Kevin carried a longbow, his quiver full; and Arya gripped her staff, her eyes gleaming with a gentle yet resolute light. They stood at the academy's gate, gazing at the unknown road ahead, their hearts a mixture of trepidation and anticipation.

"Are you ready?" Yun Yi asked in a steady and powerful voice.

"Of course!" Kevin smiled brightly and patted his chest. "With us here, any maze is no problem."

Arya smiled and whispered, "Whatever the road ahead holds, we will face it together."

The three of them smiled at each other, their tacit understanding and trust seeming to be able to penetrate all obstacles. They set out on their journey to the Corridor of Time.

The Time Corridor is located in a desolate land, shrouded in thick fog, as if even time has lost its way. As they progress deeper, the surrounding scenery becomes bizarre, and the interweaving of light and shadow makes them feel as if they are in a world both familiar and unfamiliar.

"The time here seems... messed up." Yun Yi frowned and looked around. He saw historical fragments flowing on the ancient murals, sometimes showing wars and sometimes peace and prosperity, which was a dazzling sight.

"Be careful, places like this may hide unknown dangers." Arya warned, and she waved her staff gently, releasing circles of soft light, providing faint illumination and protection for everyone.

At this moment, a strange light flashed, and the ground beneath their feet suddenly cracked. The three of them were caught off guard and fell into a bottomless cave.

Inside the cave, time and space distorted even more dramatically. They were sometimes in a bustling ancient capital, sometimes in a technologically advanced future. Each time jump brought with it unknown dangers and opportunities.

"Look over there!" Kevin suddenly pointed to the front, and saw a figure exactly like Yun Yi standing there, but his eyes revealed an indescribable vicissitudes and fatigue.

"Is that... my future self?" Yun Yi was surprised, but also curious and puzzled. He slowly approached, and their eyes met in mid-air, as if penetrating the barrier of time.

"Future me, do you have anything to say to me?" Yun Yi asked, with a slight tremor in his voice.

"Remember, every choice is crucial." Future Yun Yi spoke slowly, his voice low and powerful. "Cherish the people around you and face every challenge bravely. The road ahead will be much more difficult than you imagine."

Yun Yi nodded, a sense of determination he had never felt before surged in his heart. He knew that no matter what the future held, he would face it all bravely.

Over time, they gradually adapted to this chaotic environment of time and space. Whenever they encountered danger, they always relied on their wisdom and courage to overcome it. And those selves in different timelines became their most valuable guides and partners.

"We're about to reach the core of the maze." Arya observed the runes and murals around her, her eyes gleaming with excitement. "That might be where the treasure is."

Yun Yi and Kevin exchanged a glance, their eyes filled with anticipation and determination. They knew this adventure was about to reach its climax. No matter what lay ahead, they would face it together, shoulder to shoulder.

With a roar, an ancient stone door slowly opened. As Yun Yi and his companions stepped through the threshold, a dazzling light shone from within, illuminating the entire space. Within that light, a mysterious treasure lay quietly on the stone platform, as if awaiting the arrival of its destined recipient.

"Is that... a treasure that can predict the future?" Yun Yi asked softly, feeling both excitement and awe in his heart.

"No." A gentle voice suddenly sounded in their ears, "The real treasure is not that object, but everything you have gained on this journey - wisdom, courage, friendship, and a deep understanding and preparation for the future."

The three of them were stunned when they heard this, then suddenly realized what was going on. They smiled at each other, their hearts filled with gratitude and satisfaction. They knew that this expedition had not only given them valuable treasures, but had also made them better people.

As the light gradually faded, the three began their journey home. They knew that no matter how difficult and uncertain the road ahead might be, they would bravely move forward, for they were each other's strongest support and companions. And this adventure in the Time Corridor would become their most precious memory and treasure.
