Legacy: Miracle
Chapter 8 Monster Attacks
Yun Yi's footsteps echoed through the ancient palace, each step treading on millennia of dust, as if transcending the boundaries of time and space. Within the palace, the dim lights flickered, casting mottled shadows that wandered around like ghosts, adding a touch of mystery and unease to the silent space. He glanced around, his gaze lingering on the stone pillars carved with strange totems, each one seemingly telling an ancient and mysterious story. The ancient scrolls hanging on the walls, though their colors faded, the figures and scenes depicted remained vivid, as if they could transcend time and space, engaging in a silent dialogue with Yun Yi.
Just as Yun Yi was immersed in exploring the palace's mysterious atmosphere, a deep roar suddenly shattered the silence, like the call of an ancient beast, shaking everyone's heart. He turned abruptly and saw a huge monster slowly emerging from the shadows of the palace. Its eyes were like two dark green lanterns, flashing a bloodthirsty light in the darkness, as if it could penetrate the fear in people's hearts.
The monster was massive, like a small mountain, covered in hard scales, each one gleaming with a metallic sheen, appearing even more ferocious in the dim light. From time to time, it would hiss its tongue, echoing through the empty palace as if issuing a warning to Yun Yi, or declaring that its territory was inviolable.
Yun Yi's heartbeat suddenly accelerated, but he didn't retreat. Instead, he gripped his sword tightly, ready to face this sudden battle. He knew that this would not only test his courage, but also his wisdom and determination. He took a deep breath, calmed his mind, and looked at the monster with a determined gaze.
"Come on, monster!" Yun Yi shouted, and with the agility of a cheetah, he instantly rushed towards the monster. His sword slashed through the air in a brilliant arc, piercing the monster's vitals. However, the monster was incredibly cunning, dodging Yun Yi's attack with a single movement. It opened its massive mouth, revealing sharp fangs, as if to devour Yun Yi whole.
Battle erupted instantly, the resounding clash of metal echoing through the palace. Yun Yi engaged the monster in a fierce exchange, each encounter bringing with it the overwhelming force of its power. Yet, undeterred, he only strengthened his resolve. He nimbly dodged the monster's attacks, simultaneously searching for opportunities to strike back.
In the heat of battle, Yun Yi's mind suddenly flashed back to his parents. Their courage and resilience in the face of adversity infused him with an invisible force. He recalled his father's words: "Yi'er, no matter how great the difficulties, you must face them bravely, because you are the hope of our family." These words warmed Yun Yi's heart and ignited his fighting spirit.
He roared, leaping up once more. His sword pierced the air like lightning, piercing the monster's eyes. The creature cried out in pain and involuntarily took a few steps back. Yun Yi seized the opportunity to intensify his attack, his sword raining down upon the monster like a torrential rain. Though ferocious, the monster gradually began to show signs of defeat under Yun Yi's fierce assault. Its movements slowed, its breathing quickened, as if exhausted.
Finally, during a fierce clash, Yun Yi found the monster's weakness. With a roar, he thrust his sword into the monster's chest like lightning. The monster let out a shrill roar, its body trembling violently before finally collapsing helplessly to the ground. Its eyes gradually lost their light, like an extinguished lamp.
Yun Yi stood there, panting, watching the fallen monster. His heart was filled with the joy of victory, but even more so with longing for and gratitude towards his parents. He knew it was their courage and perseverance that had made him what he was today. He lowered his head and silently said to the monster, "Although you are powerful, you ultimately fell at my hands. This is a test of my courage and wisdom, and it is also my best consolation to my parents."
After saying this, Yun Yi felt as if an invisible force was injected into his body. He looked up at the depths of the palace, where it seemed to hide even more secrets and treasures. He took a deep breath, adjusted himself, and prepared to continue walking deeper into the palace. However, at this moment, a faint voice suddenly sounded in his ears.
"Yun Yi..." The voice seemed to come from the distant sky, yet it also seemed to be right next to his ear. He turned around suddenly, but there was no sign of anyone. He frowned, his heart filled with confusion and curiosity.
"Who is it? Who is calling me?" Yun Yi asked loudly. His voice echoed in the palace, but there was no response. He looked around and saw that the stone pillars and scrolls seemed to be silently watching him, as if telling him some secret.
He gripped his sword tightly, his heart filled with vigilance. He knew that this palace held too many secrets and unknowns, and he must remain vigilant at all times to deal with any possible dangers. He took a deep breath and once again gazed into the depths of the palace, where he was about to embark on a new journey.
