Legacy: Miracle

Chapter 20: Crossing the Void Gate

Yun Yi stood on the deck of the Starship, the night breeze, carrying the faint light of the stars, gently caressed his face, like nature's most gentle caress. He gazed at the deep and mysterious void ahead, feeling a mixture of uneasiness about the unknown and an endless desire for adventure. The Starship slowly moved forward through the void, like a bridge connecting reality and fantasy, leading him to a whole new world.

"Starship, full speed!" Yun Yi's voice was firm and powerful. His words seemed to possess magical power. The Starship seemed to understand his command. The ship shook slightly, then transformed into a stream of light, piercing the tranquility of the void and speeding towards the unknown. The surrounding starlight was like a stirred lake, rippling layer upon layer, changing shape with every moment, adding a touch of fantasy to this journey through time.

However, the void was not a peaceful place. Suddenly, a powerful wave of energy surged from all directions, like a huge wave on the sea, sweeping over the Star Ship and causing the entire void to tremble. Yun Yi frowned, feeling the threat of this power. It was the precursor to a void storm, a terrifying existence capable of devouring all living things.

"Prepare to meet the Void Storm!" Yun Yi shouted, his voice echoing through the void with undeniable authority. He quickly adjusted the Star Ship's course, attempting to find a way out through the storm's cracks. Under his control, the Star Ship swiftly turned, like a nimble petrel dancing gracefully amidst the raging wind and waves.

But how could the Void Storm be so easily avoided? It seemed to have a life of its own, closely following the Star Ship, its attacks intensifying with each jolt. The Star Ship teetered in the storm, each jolt making Yun Yi's heart leap into his throat. But he didn't give up. He knew that if he let his guard down, the abyss of no return would await them.

At that moment, a swarm of Void creatures of various forms burst forth from the storm, their bodies swirling with strange energy fluctuations, their eyes gleaming with greed, clearly drawn to the aura of the Star Ship. These Void creatures were numerous and incredibly fast, encircling the Star Ship in a flash.

"Looks like we're in real trouble this time." Yun Yi gave a wry laugh, but he showed no fear. He quickly activated the Starship's defense system, and energy shields condensed around the hull, forming an indestructible barrier. At the same time, the longsword in his hand glowed brightly; it was his only weapon against the void creatures.

"Star Slash!" Yun Yi shouted softly, his longsword slicing through the void, transforming into a brilliant streak of sword light, slashing towards the nearest void creature. Wherever the sword light passed, void creatures were cut in half, transforming into tiny specks of starlight that dissipated into the void. However, the number of void creatures was simply too great, seemingly endless. Even after being slain, they would quickly regroup and continue their attack on the star ship.

Yun Yi wielded his sword to fend off the attacks of the Void creatures while searching for a chance to break out. He knew this wasn't the way to go; he had to find the Void Gate and leave as soon as possible. At that moment, a faint and mysterious voice echoed in his mind: "Young traveler, are you searching for the Void Gate?"

Yun Yi's heart trembled. He looked around but couldn't find the source of the voice. He asked in a deep voice, "Who are you? How do you know what I'm thinking?"

"I am the guide to the Gate of the Void." The voice sounded again, carrying an indescribable majesty and compassion. "Only those with firm faith and courage can sense my presence. You are such a traveler."

Yun Yi felt a surge of warmth in his heart upon hearing this, as if he had found a guiding lighthouse. He hurriedly asked, "Excuse me, how can I find the Void Gate?"

"Close your eyes and feel the pulse of the void with your heart." The guide's voice was soft and mysterious. "The Void Gate is not a fixed object. It moves with the flow of the void. Only those who resonate with the void can detect its traces."

Yun Yi followed his instructions, closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and allowed his mind to merge with the void. Gradually, he seemed to hear the whispers of the void, an ancient and profound voice that spoke of the secrets and laws of the universe. His mind was drawn to this voice, as if he had established a mysterious connection with the void.

At that moment, he sensed a faint energy fluctuation coming from a certain direction. It was distinct from the other energies in the void; it was warm and familiar, as if beckoning him. Yun Yi's eyes snapped open, a resolute light gleaming in them. He quickly piloted the Starship in that direction, his heart filled with anticipation and hope.

As the Starship drew closer, the faintly glowing void door gradually became clearer. It seemed like a rift in time and space, connecting two different worlds. Yun Yi felt an inexplicable excitement and awe. He knew that behind this door lay a whole new world waiting to be explored.

"Starship, full speed!" Yun Yi shouted again. As if sensing his determination and courage, the Starship suddenly increased its speed, transforming into a stream of light and rushing straight into the Void Gate. At that moment, a powerful suction force surged from the portal, engulfing the Starship entirely.

Yun Yi felt his vision go black, followed by a dizzying swirl, as if the entire world were collapsing and reorganizing before his eyes. When he opened his eyes again, he found himself in a completely new world. The stars shone brightly, yet not blindingly, life flourished, yet transcended the constraints of the mundane world. A fresh, mysterious aura permeated the air, leaving one feeling refreshed and invigorated.
