Lin Peishan walked over with a smile, holding a copy of "Gone with the Wind" in her hand, and said to Chen Zhongyu, "Brother Chen, I'd like to buy this book."

Chen Zhongyu smiled and said, "Since Miss Lin likes this book so much, I'll give it to you. Thank you for the invitation. I need to see it and I'll get back to you in a couple of days, is that alright?"

Lin Peishan was overjoyed and quickly said, "Yes, yes."

She left happily, skipping and hopping while holding Gui'er's hand. Gui'er teased her, "You're being too unreserved."

Lin Peishan looked back at Xinmin Bookstore and whispered in Gui'er's ear, "Thank you, Gui'er."

"Why are you thanking me?" Gui'er pretended to be confused.

“You must have spoken up for me just now, right? I once suspected that you and Brother Chen were dating, but the way you two interacted didn’t seem like it.
