A fashion queen

Chapter 52 Meeting an “acquaintance”

Only wine could comfort his sorrow. Mo Yunting raised his glass high and drank himself drunk like a cow drinking water. Then he collapsed on the bar like a puddle of mud and passed out with a gloomy mood.

"I'm buying some daily necessities in the hypermarket now. After shopping, I will go directly to the cafe to meet you." After hanging up the phone, Cui Xueying felt that she was about to collapse from exhaustion.

She didn't know why Song Yuhang was so excited when he spoke. She only knew that she was in a terrible mood at the moment, even a little depressed, as if she had a premonition that something was going to happen tonight.

What could this be? Cui Xueying was wandering aimlessly, pondering this question, when she accidentally brushed past a figure. The figure was about to continue walking, but for some reason suddenly stopped, turned around, and stared at Cui Xueying, as if trying to confirm whether he had just bumped into someone.

After she was sure that she had not recognized the wrong person, the expression on her face was as excited as if she had won a five million dollar prize.

"Yue'er, it really is you!" She rushed towards Cui Xueying, dancing with joy. She had never dreamed that she would run into Yue'er while shopping at the hypermarket.

Cui Xueying was no stranger to the name "Yue'er" from the other person's mouth, but when faced with the person in front of her, she had no impression of him at all. She couldn't help but wonder, "Who are you?"

"I'm Xiaohong, don't you recognize me?" Xiaohong blinked in surprise, taking in her unfamiliar look.

"Should I know you?" Cui Xueying looked at her with confusion, as if she was looking at a stranger.

"What are you talking about? Of course you know me. I've been worried about what happened after you ran away that day? You were nowhere to be seen on the set, and Director Mo just said that you resigned without explaining much. But he has become so sarcastic since you disappeared. Did you break up?" Xiaohong couldn't control herself and blurted out everything.

"Break up?" Those two words pierced Cui Xueying's heart like a sharp sword. She gathered her thoughts, thinking that this girl must be a friend she'd known during the time she'd lost her memory. But how close were they to that level of friendship? How much did she know about her relationship with Mo Yunting? From what she said, it seemed like she knew quite a bit about them.

"Why are you acting weird too? You're asking me who I am? Are you crazy?" Xiao Hong complained unhappily. "Where have you been lately? Why haven't you contacted me?"

"Can we find a place to sit down and talk? I have a lot of questions, could you please help me answer them?" Her eyes revealed a hint of helplessness, as if giving up was her only option. However, deep down in her heart, she still had a strong desire to recover those lost memories.

She often lay in bed in the quiet of the night, staring at the ceiling, silently pondering the blank space in her heart. She tried to piece together the fragments of her memory, but always in vain.

Occasionally, she would unconsciously fall into extravagant fantasy, anticipating the moment when those forgotten memories would suddenly flood back to her mind and allow her to piece together the complete picture. She imagined that she could clearly remember every detail and every feeling, as if time had flown back.

Obviously, this glimmer of hope is often fleeting, quickly shattered by reality. She'll feel a wave of loss, but she'll quickly pull herself together and tell herself not to give up. She knows, even if hope seems slim, that the journey to find her memories is a source of comfort.

Now that Xiaohong has appeared, it's her chance. Maybe it will help her remember everything that happened during those days.
