"Welcome, brave adventurers."

Naga said in a low and hoarse voice, "I am the leader of this sea area and rule the entire murloc tribe. Your arrival really surprised me!"

As she spoke, she flicked her snake's tail, and the scales shimmered eerily in the dim light.

"Oh my God, what kind of monster is this!" Mayor Marcus exclaimed in a low voice.

Caponia frowned, looked at Naga with disgust, and whispered to Alvin, "This weirdo looks really disgusting."

Unexpectedly, Naga understood Caponia's language and she laughed shrilly for a long time before stopping.

"My dear fellow-citizen, why do you speak of me in this way?"

Naga said to Calpurnia in a soft voice.

Only then did Caponia realize that this ugly snake demon had been speaking Quel'Thalas since he opened his mouth. Although some of the words and intonation were strange, it was indeed Quel'Thalas!

The elf was stunned for a moment, then became furious.

"How dare you call me a fellow? You monster!"

Anger flashed in Naga's eyes, but she remained calm.

"We are all creatures of fate, aren't we? Perhaps we have more in common than differences."

Alvin felt the magic power gathering around Caponia, and the atmosphere suddenly became tense.

Action must be taken quickly, otherwise things may become more complicated.

Alvin patted Calpurnia's shoulder gently, signaling her to calm down, and took a step forward.

"Respected Naga lady, we salute you. We have no ill intentions in this trip."

He stopped Caponia behind him and continued, "We are residents of Southsea Town. We have never had any conflicts with your murlocs. But the other day, your men launched a massive attack on Southsea Town. I believe there must be some misunderstanding, so I came to communicate with you. I believe we can resolve our conflict through negotiation, rather than resorting to violence."

"Oh? You are quite knowledgeable and know my race. But..."

The Naga Siren snorted coldly, and her anger caused her pupils to turn into a straight line like a cat's.

"You dare to say there is no contradiction? Then why would humans poison my fish-men?"

"Poison?!"

Upon hearing this news, Alvin frowned, turned to look at the mayor, and translated Naga's words to him.

The mayor also shook his head in confusion, saying that the townspeople under his jurisdiction would never go deep into the territory of the fishmen, let alone poison them.

The Naga Siren's anger became increasingly evident. She sternly shouted, "Do you think I'm blackmailing you? Look at the zombies all over the ground! My people are like this because they ate the grain you humans threw at them!"

Alvin looked at the zombie murlocs in shock. Recalling the rotten corpses of murlocs he had seen along the way, an ominous premonition surged in his heart.

He had a strong sense of déjà vu about this scene: the highly poisonous grains caused human mutations, then the plague began to rage, and finally everyone turned into zombies - this was exactly what the people of Lordaeron experienced before the future Third War.

It was because of that plague that his hometown of Stratholme was destroyed by Prince Arthas.

He still remembered the Stratholme dungeon he played in his previous life. The sky there was gloomy, the air was filled with scarlet blood, and people groaned in pain on the streets, gradually losing their humanity and turning into zombies.

Now, the zombie murloc in front of him reminded him of the horrific scene in the Stratholme dungeon.

Isn't it my goal to stop the spread of evil?

A strong determination burned in his heart. He could not let the same tragedy happen again. No matter what the cost, he would find the truth and prevent this disaster.

"Ma'am, please wait a moment while I check carefully."

Alvin approached the zombie murlocs and bent down to examine their bodies.

The other fishmen surrounded the Naga and looked at the human man warily.

Ms. Naga watched coldly. She didn't know what this man wanted to do, but it was obvious that he cared very much about this matter.

While observing carefully, Alvin asked the Naga, "Excuse me, Madam, when did these symptoms begin among your murlocs? Where did these poisonous grains come from?"

The Naga Siren replied coldly, "A human dumped it on the beach a month ago. The fishmen ate it and became poisoned, turning into...zombies."

"These horrible creatures have no thoughts. They seem to be driven by their appetite to attack other murlocs. They will tear apart the living, and soon we discovered that the bitten murlocs have also turned into zombies! This horrific epidemic quickly ravaged my tribe. If this continues, my people will die out. So, we attacked your town for revenge. We will make those who poisoned my people pay the price!"

The Naga Siren became more and more angry as she spoke, and she slammed her staff against the stone so hard that sparks even flew.

"But we failed. The bodies of the murlocs you killed mutated that very night! The zombies attacked my people, and we are powerless to resist. The dead are increasing, and those who have fallen will soon stand up again and become even more ferocious enemies! I swear to Queen Azshara, I have never experienced such a horror in my life!"

Alvin said, "I understand your anger. I hate the poisoner just as much as you do. But what I want to explain to you now is that the townspeople didn't poison the murlocs. It could have been an outsider. The most important thing right now is to find a way to end the plague and cure everyone. If we don't do this, I'm afraid we might be infected too!"

In fact, Alvin himself was not completely sure that he could eliminate the plague, because in his impression, the plague raging in Stratholme took effect very quickly and there was no possibility of curing it. Even the holy light of Uther the Lightbringer could not drive away the harm of the plague. If the current plague was that terrible thing, then I am afraid that many terrible things would happen in advance!

But he decided to give it a try anyway.

He translated the conversation with Naga to the mayor, who also felt that there must be something fishy going on. However, as Alvin said, the priority now must be to cure the infectious disease.

“Please go ahead and do it!”

The mayor sighed.

"Unleashing a plague?! Holy Light! No matter who the murderer is, I swear to find him!"

Caponia moved closer to Alvin. She still had a strong distrust of the banshee. She couldn't explain why, and even felt that it was a physical rejection.

She whispered to Alvin, "Alvin, why do you believe what that witch said? She might be exaggerating!"

Although Alvin couldn't tell him directly about the plague that raged on the eve of the third world war in history, he still had confidence in convincing the girl.

"I encountered a similar situation before when I was in the church. The plague doesn't distinguish whether you are Quel'dorei or Naga. Anyone who is alive can be infected and eventually become that horrible person. So now, listen to me and solve the problem at hand first."

Caponia frowned and retorted in a low voice: "But that witch said she was from the same family as me. How can she be my compatriot with that...that look?!"

Elvin smiled wryly and said, "I'll explain this to you later. The elven noble who taught me Quel'Thalas told me a little about your race's history. You're only 500 years old, and you only study for an hour a day. I'm afraid you don't know much about history."

Calpurnia said unconvincedly, "How can I not understand history? Don't underestimate me."

Alvin raised an eyebrow and asked, "What was the name of your King Anasterian Sunstrider's father?"

Calpurnia was stunned. After thinking for a moment, she tentatively replied, "Sargeras?"
