I traveled through time and space and became the Archbishop of Stormwind!
Chapter 40: After beating the dog, I met the owner
Before Alvin finished his roar, Akali Tasha had already leaped to the side, as if performing a graceful dance.
"Roar!" She let out a huge roar, her voice filled with immense determination.
The fiery red hair was like fireworks exploding in the air, and the whole person suddenly crashed into the giant wolf's chest.
Her strength seemed to come from a distant era, and every inch of her muscle was filled with protective power.
"Bang!" A deafening crash sounded in the air, and the giant wolf howled in pain as it was blown away by Akalitrassa's flaming meteor-like impact. Its body flew in the air for a long time before hitting the wall and falling heavily to the ground, raising a cloud of dust.
The giant wolf's eyes were full of fear, as if it had never encountered such a powerful opponent.
Then it let out a shrill howl, its body trembled violently, and finally, the giant wolf's body collapsed in the sacred flames, turning into a pile of burning ashes, scattered on the ground.
Alvin stared at the scene in amazement, his heart filled with shock.
He knew that Akalitha had brute strength, but he had not expected her to display such powerful strength.
Alvin breathed a sigh of relief and felt a little exhausted. His palms were still trembling slightly, but he knew that they had finally defeated the giant beast.
He turned to look at Akali Tasha and found that she didn't show any abnormality because of the attack just now, as if it was just an ordinary blow.
But her eyes were full of anticipation, and she looked up, as if waiting for Alvin's praise.
"We did it, Akalitraza!"
Alvin shouted excitedly, his voice filled with immense joy and excitement.
He laughed heartily, picked up Akalitasa, and spun around excitedly by her armpits.
Akalitraza shouted and laughed, patting Alvin's hand and motioning him to put her down.
Alvin put Akalitraza down, but still held her hand tightly.
"Akaritasa, I've made up my mind!" Alvin said suddenly, with stars twinkling in his eyes.
"I'm going to give you a roast suckling pig, and I'll never complain about you eating too much again. Eat as much as you want! After all, eating more gives you more strength!"
"Priest! Your title of Miracle Priest is truly well-deserved." The two were immersed in the joy of victory when Arugal's voice suddenly sounded in the air again.
At this moment, he seemed to have lost his composure, and his angry and unwilling voice echoed around the tower.
"You should understand me better! In this world, humans are extremely weak! They can't protect themselves with their own abilities. Didn't someone as powerful as Anduin Lothar ultimately die at the hands of orcs? You've also peered into the void, and you know there will be even more terrifying threats in the future! Therefore, we must give humans the power to protect themselves, such as evolution!"
Alvin shook his head, clenched his fists, and shouted in a loud and passionate voice, "Arugal, you are wrong! You underestimate the courage and strength of mankind. We are not as weak and powerless as you think. We have an incomparably tenacious will and infinite potential. No matter how powerful the enemy, we will not retreat, because we know that protecting our homes and loved ones is the responsibility of every one of us!"
"The Orc Wars speak for themselves! We faced foes far more powerful than you, yet we persevered. With wisdom and courage, united as one, we ultimately triumphed. That war proved that as long as we stand united, no enemy is invincible!"
"And you,"
Alvin said contemptuously, "A demon like you who has no respect for the lives of others is not worthy of putting yourself in the position of a god and talking about helping humanity evolve!"
"You don't understand! You simply don't understand! Humanity's weakness and powerlessness cannot be changed! Only I, only I, can give them true power!"
Arugal's voice became hysterical, as if he was trying hard to hide his inner fear and anger.
"What you call power is nothing but a desecration and manipulation of life. True strength comes from inner determination and conviction, not from external imposition."
"You will regret this! You will pay for your stupidity!"
Arugal's hysterical roar still echoed in the air, but Alvin didn't want to waste time talking to Arugal anymore. He recalled his experiences along the way and his heart was filled with emotion.
From his initial confusion and fear to his current determination and confidence, the trials and challenges he has experienced have made him stronger, and every battle has made him more aware of his own strength and potential.
He remembered that when he faced the first werewolf, his hands were shaking and his heart was filled with fear.
But he did not retreat, but faced the challenge bravely. He learned how to stay calm in a crisis and how to find hope in desperate situations.
He understood the importance of teamwork and the power of trust and friendship.
Caponia, Solanlian, and Akalitraza stayed by his side, giving him endless support and encouragement, allowing him to see the light even in the darkest moments.
Alvin knew that along the way, he not only became stronger, but more importantly, he was no longer the confused traveler. He found his own faith and mission, and as a pastor in this world full of sadness, he conveyed courage and hope to everyone.
Arugal's voice was no longer heard. Alvin finally had time to look around. He found that this was a circular room with walls covered with ancient runes and magic circles, emitting a faint blue light.
The air was filled with a faint smell of blood and decay, which made people shudder.
It should be at the bottom floor of the magic tower now. The giant wolf should be the watchdog raised by Arugal.
"Akaritasa, we have to keep going up."
Alvin whispered, "I have a feeling that if we go further up, we should be able to see Arugal soon."
The two smiled at each other, then carefully looked for an exit in the room.
As Alvin expected, he soon found the spiral staircase leading to the upper floor.
"Let's go, Akalitrasa."
Alvin said softly, and took the lead on the stairs, followed closely by Akali Tasha, and the two climbed up step by step.
Finally, they reached the end of the stairs and saw an old, heavy wooden door.
The door was engraved with complex runes and emitted a faint blue light. Alvin took a deep breath and reached out to push the door open.
Behind the door was a spacious hall, divided into two floors. The lower floor was surrounded by several bookcases filled with magic books. The upper floor was only a circle around the wall, with a skylight in the middle, allowing direct access to the lower floor.
On the upper floor of the hall, Arugal stood there, his eyes filled with fear or anger. On the lower floor, three werewolves of particularly large size were staring at Alvin and Akalitrassa with a fierce look.
"Mr. Priest, you are finally here."
Arugao said coldly, "Do you think you've won by defeating my pet? You're too naive!"
Arugal sneered and waved his hand to signal the werewolves beside him to prepare to attack.
"I'm tired of your naiveté! Let's see what you're capable of!"
