Chapter 399 Mag'har Orcs
"What did he say? Grandmother Gaiaan? Any news about my father?"
Garrosh struggled to get up. He wanted to chase after Kilrogg, but he had no strength left and stumbled and fell again.
Grandmother Gaiaan looked at the young orc and reached out her hand to help him up, but Garrosh shook her hand away.
She wanted to scold this guy, but her lips moved and her voice became much kinder.
"Go back to your seat and lie down. What you need now is rest."
"What happened to my father? What did you say?"
Looking at the young man's expectant eyes and hoarse throat, Grandma Gaiaan looked away, probably not wanting to answer his question.
Is Grom dead or alive?
She didn't know that ever since those greenskins followed their tribe to Azeroth, Grandmother Gaiaan had been wandering around with these Mag'har. She didn't know, nor did she want to know, about those guys.
Including Grom Hellscream and other chiefs, they all had their own persistence in glory.
But since they drank Gul'dan's demon blood, everything has changed. They have become more violent and cruel, and their desire for killing has surpassed everything.
Those greenskins have abandoned the ancient shamanism of the orcs and have degenerated into another terrible race.
It no longer matters whether these guys are alive or dead. Even if they are still alive, they are already beyond redemption.
Grandmother Gaiaan shook her head.
"Kilrogg didn't mention your father, but the wind told me that he's still alive and well. If Grom were dead, Kilrogg would have told you just now."
Garrosh had no strength left, and at the insistence of Grandmother Gaiaan, the old woman helped him walk to his seat and lie down.
He turned around and curled up, cold sweat already breaking out on his head.
Will this young man survive?
Grandmother Gaiaan didn't know that he was already one of the strongest among these orcs. If he couldn't bear it, would all these Mag'har die from this rash infection?
She picked up the torn door curtain, hung it on the door again, and slowly walked to the center of the village.
Grandmother Gaiaan did not go to see Kilrogg Deadeye off, nor did she even look back at where they were leaving.
She looked towards the west, which was the direction of Nagrand. She closed her eyes and seemed to be able to feel the fragrance of green grass brought by the wind and the dazzling sunshine.
"Come out, there are no soldiers here anymore. You've been hiding there for so long, isn't now a good time for you to take action?"
She looked towards the forest at the edge of the village and spoke to it.
The branches shook, and a beautiful night blade leopard jumped out of the forest first, followed by a draenei, and then a humanoid creature, who looked very weak.
Apart from the Draenei, Grandmother Gaiaan had never seen any other humanoid creatures or animals in her life.
"Are you the alliance they're talking about?"
Grandmother Gaiaan didn't know if they could understand her language, so she tried to speak slowly.
The humanoid creature came out,
"Hello, as you said, we are indeed an alliance. My name is Alvin Priest, and we are here chasing Kilrogg."
"So, you're going to kill us all now?"
Alvin smiled and said, "Why do you say that? I don't think you're afraid at all."
Grandma Gaiaan looked into Alvin's eyes and shook her head.
"If you wanted to do something, you would have done it long ago. That big, stupid guy Kilrogg is no match for you. And you don't radiate any malice. What on earth do you want to do?"
Grandmother Gaiaan tried her best to calm herself down. She had seen many powerful orcs and other races in her life, but the guy in front of her gave her the feeling of having no feeling at all, like a mass of nothingness. She couldn't see how powerful this person was.
This unknown made Gaiaan tremble.
"I see the color of your skin,"
"That's the most traditional brown. It means you haven't been affected by the demon blood, nor participated in the invasion of our world, so you are not our enemy."
Alvin glanced around and saw that many people had already seen the three outsiders and were staggering towards them. Some of them had already picked up wooden sticks in their hands, and the children who were playing just now had been pushed into the room by the adults.
"Stop, these guys have no ill intentions, please step back."
Grandmother Gaiaan turned around and shouted. She had supreme authority in this village. Seeing Grandmother Gaiaan say this, the orcs put down their weapons and went back to do their own things.
"You are very respected. May I ask your name?"
"Just a little older. My name is Gaiaan, and they all call me Grandma."
Alvin's mind raced, searching for this person's name.
Then he remembered nothing. Alvin of the Ten Thousand Year Alliance didn't know what was happening on the tribe side.
"Okay, Grandmother Gaiaan, I'll tell you the truth. We have no ill will towards you. I've seen the brown-skinned orc before. His name is Ga'nar, and he's from the Frostwolf Clan."
Grandmother Gaiaan's eyes lit up.
"The Frostwolves, they certainly didn't join Gul'dan. So you've met him? What happened to them? I thought they were all killed by Gul'dan's men."
"No, Ga'nar returned to Frostfire Ridge. Some of the other Frostwolves followed Orgrim to Azeroth, but Gul'dan sent people to assassinate Durotan and his wife. Their old shaman, Drek'Thar, led the remaining Frostwolves away from the Horde and into the snow-capped mountains of Alterac."
Gaiaan's eyes brightened.
"Feng'er, you, you actually know so many people's names!"
The old woman stood up and paced back and forth, feeling a little agitated.
"So, some Frostwolves have settled in your world! Poor Durotan, he was an excellent chief! And Drek'Thar, I didn't expect that old guy is still alive..."
"If the epidemic hadn't struck the Mag'har, I would have certainly entertained you. Thank you for the news you brought..."
Elwyn translated what Grandmother Gaiaan said to Yrel and Greenshadow.
"I noticed that most of your people seem to be sick. What's going on?"
"It's a curse brought by the devil. Gul'dan once said that only by drinking the devil's blood can it be healed, but that means selling oneself to the devil.
"My people didn't drink, so all sorts of diseases followed, and the earth spirits no longer responded to our calls. Perhaps this was nature's punishment for the orcs' sins..."
