Chapter 397 White-haired female orc
"There are a lot of orcs ahead, Alvin."
Night Blade Leopard Green Shadow suddenly stopped and turned to Alvin and said.
Several people followed the orcs' footprints and advanced through the forest. They were already quite far away from the Alliance's stronghold.
The forest was filled with withered trees, with almost no green to be seen. Purple light sprinkled on the dry branches, as if they had been eroded by evil magic.
Thanks to Green Shadow and Yrel who are good at tracking, Alvin alone can't even tell the directions in the forest, let alone track the orc deserters.
"There are traces of blood, they must be orc deserters."
Yrel examined the ground and found a few drops of blood that had turned almost black.
"But why are the orcs fleeing in this direction? As far as I know, they shouldn't have a stronghold here."
Alvin shrugged.
"We'll know after we go over there. I think a group of orcish deserters are no match for us. Let's capture them and ask them about Ner'zhul."
After a short rest, the three continued on their journey and soon discovered an orc village.
The village is located in a dense forest, surrounded by tall trees, with only a narrow path leading to the center of the village.
The buildings in the village are all built with rough stones and wood, and look very simple.
There is a huge stone building in the center of the village, which is obviously where the orc leader lives.
There are some orcs patrolling around the village, apparently to prevent intrusion by outsiders.
Alvin carefully avoided the patrolling orcs, made a big circle, and finally approached the village from the back.
"Do you want to do it?"
Yrel held the hammer tightly in his hand and asked Alvin in a low voice.
He shook his head and signaled Yrel to be patient because he was surprised to find that there were some orc cubs and old orcs taking care of them, as well as many wounded soldiers living in the village.
This might be an orc refuge.
"Observe a little longer." Alvin whispered.
Green Shadow suddenly said, "The people inside seem to be arguing."
Alvin also heard what seemed to be a quarrel among the orcs in the village. He followed the sound and finally found the target.
A one-eyed orc, one arm was tied with a bandage and hung around his neck. The blood on the bandage was not dry yet. Even so, he seemed to be one of the strongest men in the camp.
The one-eyed orc was shouting at a white-haired orc, and his voice carried over on the wind.
"I'm going to take all the warriors here! We're going to find Warchief Ner'zhul! He needs us!"
"Ha, why do you think your chief kept you here?"
The white-haired orc's voice was also wild and hoarse, but the tone and voice were completely different from those of ordinary orcs. Alvin was surprised to find that this was a female orc!
"You are just Ner'zhul's abandoned child! He never thought that you could find him alive! You were used by Ner'zhul! You fool!"
The white-haired female orc mercilessly scolded the one-eyed orc who was shouting in front of her. The orc was extremely angry and seemed like he would explode at any time. Alvin could hear the roar from his throat from a long distance away, but surprisingly, the one-eyed orc still suppressed his emotions.
"Those humans are different. I told the Warchief early on that after the failed attack on Stormwind, I initially didn't believe the stories of those who escaped. But after fighting with them in the Swamp of Sorrows, I realized that what they said was true. A dark enforcer has emerged among the humans. His abilities are greater than even our strongest warlocks. Frankly speaking, even Gul'dan wouldn't be his match."
The one-eyed orc suppressed his anger and continued,
"Later, we suffered repeated defeats and were forced to retreat back to the Dark Temple. All I could do was stay and delay the Alliance so that the Chief could reach the Dark Temple."
"To die on the battlefield is nothing to me, but dying for honor is one thing, and losing your name inexplicably is another. I witnessed the Alliance destroy our Hellfire Citadel with terrifying magic."
"I also heard about our disastrous defeat in Auchindoun... But all we can do is continue fighting. There is no other way. I brought these wounded back to me to the best of my ability. They must be treated and then come with me to the Black Temple!"
The white-haired female orc shook her head and sneered,
"How ironic! Is this what you call glory? According to your and your clan's usual practices, shouldn't you rush in, kill all of us who displease you, and then occupy our village? Kilrogg Deadeye?!"
"If your only remaining eyeball is still alive, I think you should be able to see clearly that you greenskins are no longer orcs! What does your life or death have to do with me?"
The white-haired female beastman said, coughing violently. Anger made her emotionally agitated, and she gasped for a long time.
Only then did Alvin notice that the white-haired female orc actually had brown skin!
In other words, she didn't drink the devil's blood!
And that one-eyed orc turned out to be Kilrogg, the chieftain of the Bleeding Hollow clan!
This old guy is not dead yet!
"Grandmother Gaia!" Kilrog gritted his teeth angrily and made a sound through his teeth.
You can tell that this guy is very angry, but his words still show respect for the other party.
He had known this Gaian grandmother since childhood. Although she had aged over the years and her hair had turned white, it still seemed as thick as ever. What did that curved corner of her mouth mean? Was it a mockery of him?
"This time we are being invaded by the Alliance! They have entered Draenor! Aren't you one of the orcs?"
Kilrogg waved his uninjured arm angrily, but it seemed to aggravate other wounds, and the one-eyed orc's face twitched.
"Like I said, they've already broken through Auchindoun and just defeated us in Shadowmoon Valley. They'll soon reach the Black Temple. If the Warchief is defeated, the orcs will be finished! I want to remind you—you're also an orc!"
Grandmother Gaiaan grinned and said disdainfully, "I just said it, what do you greenskins have to do with me? Hellfire Citadel, Auchindoun, Black Temple, these ominous names have nothing to do with me!"
Kilrogg's face turned from green to red, like a red-hot iron ball, and it seemed that he had accumulated endless anger.
"I'll say this one last time, Grandmother Gaiaan. You are also an orc. We live and die together. Do you want to see our world occupied by the Alliance and our people massacred by the Alliance?!"
Grandmother Gaiaan smiled bitterly and glared at Kilrogg with her red eyes.
"You invaded the human world, and this is the consequence."
