"Are you sure it's the freighter tonight? Could we be mistaken?" I asked anxiously, holding Lu Yuxuan's arm tightly. He frowned and said hurriedly, "Mr. K's people have confirmed it repeatedly. The source of the information is reliable, there can be no mistake!"

We had originally planned to take down the Cabal tonight while they were conducting illegal transactions. To ensure the success of this operation, we had been secretly preparing for months, taking every step with extreme caution.

"Lolo, this is bad! It looks like our plan has been discovered!" Ashley's voice was filled with anxiety and panic. "Someone just broke into my studio and rummaged through all the materials. Luckily, I hid in time, so they didn't find me."

Ashley is our friend in the fashion circle. She helped us a lot in this operation and provided us with a lot of inside information about the conspiracy group.

"Are you okay?" I asked worriedly. "Did those people say anything?"

"Goods"? "Plan"? This brief message left me completely bewildered, but my intuition told me it might be related to Mr. K. I tried to reply, asking who the person was, but there was no response.

Time passed by minute by minute, and my heart sank little by little as time went by. Just when I was about to give up hope, Lawrence Lu suddenly called.

“Lolo, something happened to Mr. K!” Lawrence Lu’s voice was low and anxious on the other end of the phone. “I just received news that he was taken away by a group of unidentified people and his whereabouts are unknown now.”

"What?!" I felt my vision go dark and I almost fainted. Mr. K is our most crucial figure in this operation. He holds a wealth of evidence about the conspiracy group's crimes. If it falls into the hands of the enemy, the consequences will be disastrous.

"I'll go save him now!" I said gritting my teeth, and various rescue plans had already started to come up with in my mind.

"No, you can't act rashly now!" Lu Yuxuan stopped me in a stern voice. "Since they dared to take Mr. K away, they must have made every possible preparation. It's too dangerous for you to go now!"

"No buts!" Lu Yuxuan's voice left no room for doubt. "Leave there immediately and leave the rest to me!"

I understand Lawrence Lu's concerns, and I know that acting impulsively now will only make things worse. But I really can't watch Mr. K fall into danger while I am powerless to do anything.

I realized I'd fallen into the enemy's trap, all because of my impulsiveness and arrogance... I collapsed on the sofa, feeling overwhelmed. Mr. K had been arrested, Ashley had lost contact, and even Lawrence Lu hadn't made any progress. Had all our efforts been in vain? Were we really going to watch those evildoers go unpunished?
