The Legend of Cinderella's Counterattack
Chapter 135 Chaos
Consciousness returned, and I jerked myself upright in bed, feeling dizzy from the sheer volume of the movement. I clutched my forehead, trying to recall the events before I lost consciousness. The spaceship, the black hole, and Lu Yuxuan's anxious voice... My memories pieced together like fragments, and fear and worry instantly washed over me.
"Yuxuan! Chenxi!" I called out their names frantically, only to find myself in a completely unfamiliar place. The room's decor was antique and full of mysterious oriental charm, completely different from the technologically advanced interior of the spaceship.
"Miss, you're awake!" An old voice came from the side. I turned around and saw an old man in a black robe standing beside the bed. He had a kind face and a hint of worry in his eyes.
"Where is this place? Where are Yuxuan and the others?" I asked anxiously, feeling uneasy.
The old man sighed, a hint of helplessness in his tone: "This is the headquarters of the Interstellar Alliance. As for Mr. Lu and the others..." He paused, as if to organize his words, "We don't know where they are now."
"What?!" I looked at him in disbelief. "How could he not know? We were clearly together!"
The old man was silent for a moment, then slowly said, "Miss, you should be mentally prepared. When we found your spaceship, it was already severely damaged, and..."
"And what? Tell me quickly!" My heart was in my throat and an ominous premonition came to my mind.
"Moreover, no other signs of life were found on the spacecraft except you." The old man said this with difficulty, as if this sentence itself carried a thousand pounds of weight.
My head buzzed, as if struck by lightning. Impossible! This is impossible! Yuxuan and Chenxi... No! I don't believe it!
I stumbled out of bed and wanted to rush out to look for them, but was grabbed by the old man.
"Miss, please calm down! It's not time to go out yet!" The old man spoke in a stern tone, but he could not hide the worry in his eyes.
I collapsed to the ground, tears blurring my eyes. How could this happen? Why did things have to turn out like this? Was I really going to lose them forever?
No, I can't give up! I must find them!
I took a deep breath and tried to calm myself down. I couldn't just sit there and wait for death. I had to do something.
"Old man, please tell me, what exactly happened? Why did my spaceship become like this? Where did Yuxuan and the others go?" I raised my head and looked at the old man with firm eyes. I needed to know the truth, no matter how cruel it was.
The old man looked at me deeply and said slowly, "Miss, we suspect that your spaceship has been attacked by a black hole..."
The old man's voice was deep and hoarse, as if it came from the depths of the ancient universe. "Black holes are the most mysterious and unfathomable existence in the universe. They devour everything and yet also give birth to everything. We suspect that as your spacecraft approached the black hole, it was sucked into an unknown dimension by a powerful energy."
"Unknown dimension?" I muttered to myself, all sorts of bizarre images emerging in my mind. Could it be that Yuxuan and Chenxi were also sucked into that dimension?
The old man nodded and continued, "According to the information we currently have, a black hole isn't just about destruction; it's more like a bridge connecting different time and space. And that unknown dimension may very well hide secrets we can't even imagine."
His words were filled with uncertainty and fear, and they made me shudder. I couldn't imagine what Yuxuan and Chenxi would encounter in that strange dimension, and I was even more afraid that they would be lost there forever, never to return.
"We must find them!" I stood up suddenly and said in a firm tone, "Old man, please tell me, how can we enter that unknown dimension?"
The old man looked at me deeply, a flicker of admiration in his eyes, but also a hint of deep concern. "Miss, I know you're worried about your friends, but please believe me, we're doing everything we can to find them. However, entering an unknown dimension is no easy task, and we need more thorough planning and preparation."
"But do we still have time?" I asked anxiously, feeling uneasy. "What if Yuxuan and Chenxi are in danger?"
The old man was silent for a moment, as if weighing the pros and cons. "Okay, miss, I'll take you somewhere," he said, turning and walking deeper into the room.
I followed him closely, passing through deep corridors until we finally arrived at a massive metal door. The old man placed his palm on the door. A flash of blue light appeared, and the metal door slowly opened, revealing a passage leading to an unknown place.
"Where is this..." I asked in surprise, my heart filled with curiosity and fear.
"This is our only entrance to an unknown dimension," the old man said solemnly, "but please remember, once you enter, you must be extremely careful."
I took a deep breath, nodded, and resolutely stepped into the passage. It was pitch black, and I could only grope my way forward relying on the faint light. I walked for an unknown amount of time before my eyes suddenly lit up, and a strange scene unfolded before me.
The sky here isn't blue, but a dreamy purple. Countless stars twinkle with a strange light, seemingly within reach. On the ground grow all sorts of bizarre plants, emitting a captivating fluorescent glow. In the distance, towering buildings rise from the ground, gleaming with metallic luster, imbued with a sense of futuristic technology.
"Is this... the unknown dimension?" I murmured to myself, my heart filled with shock and uneasiness.
Suddenly, a strange sound came from afar, like the low growl of some creature, or the fluctuation of some unknown energy. My heart tightened, and I subconsciously clenched my fists, staring around vigilantly.
"It seems that we have alarmed the 'residents' here." A familiar voice came from behind me. I turned around suddenly and saw Lu Yuxuan and Chenxi standing behind me with a wry smile on their faces.
"Yuxuan! Chenxi! I'm so glad you're okay!" I threw myself into their arms excitedly, tears blurring my eyes again.
“We’re fine, sorry to have made you worry.” Lawrence Lu gently stroked my hair, his tone full of apology.
"Where is this place? How did we get here?" I looked up and asked in confusion.
“It’s a long story, we…” Lawrence Lu was about to explain, but was interrupted by Chenxi.
"Sister, look!" Chenxi exclaimed, pointing to the sky in the distance.
I looked in the direction of her finger and saw a huge black vortex appear in the sky, emitting heart-pounding energy fluctuations, as if it was going to devour everything.
"What is that?" I asked in horror, with a sense of foreboding in my heart.
"That's a black hole, a channel connecting different dimensions." Lu Yuxuan said in a deep voice, "We came from there."
"But it looks very unstable, as if it will explode at any time," I said worriedly.
“That’s right.” Lawrence Lu nodded and said solemnly, “We must find a way to repair the black hole as soon as possible, otherwise…”
He wasn't finished speaking when a sudden loud noise interrupted him. The three of us looked up at the same time and saw a massive figure slowly emerging from the black hole. Its form resembled a dragon, but its body radiated a metallic sheen. Its scarlet eyes stared down at us coldly, like a messenger from hell.
I stared blankly at the behemoth emerging from the black hole, fear tangling like vines around my heart. Every time it moved, the entire space seemed to tremble. Yuxuan shielded Chenxi and me behind him, his face so solemn it looked as if water could drip from it.
"Who are you? Why are you trespassing on my territory?" The creature spoke in human language, its voice booming like thunder in our ears. I was so frightened that I almost fell off my feet. Fortunately, Chenxi held my hand tightly, preventing me from collapsing to the ground.
"Respected Guardian," Yu Xuan took a step forward and said calmly, "We didn't mean to offend you. We simply stumbled into this place by mistake. Please forgive us."
"Guardian?" I whispered, my heart filled with confusion. Could this terrifying creature be a guardian? What was it guarding?
The creature seemed to see through my thoughts. It slowly lowered its massive head, its crimson eyes staring straight at me, sending a chill down my spine. "I am the guardian of the universe," it spoke slowly, a tone tinged with an indescribable sadness. "My duty is to preserve the balance of the universe."
"The balance of the universe?" I murmured to myself, and suddenly the old man's words flashed through my mind, "Black holes are the product of the broken balance of the universe..." Is there any connection between the two?
"That's right," the creature said in a deep voice, as if it knew what I was thinking. "The appearance of the black hole has disrupted the order of the universe. If it is not repaired in time, the entire universe will fall into chaos!"
Its words were filled with unquestionable majesty, forcing me to believe everything it said. However, black holes are such terrifying existences, do we really have the ability to repair them?
"What should we do?" Yuxuan asked calmly, his gaze fixed on the creature. I knew he had made his decision, and no matter how difficult and arduous the road ahead, he would not back down.
"You must find the Tears of the Stars," the creature said solemnly, pointing to the black hole in the sky. "Only the Tears of the Stars can repair the black hole and restore the balance of the universe."
Tears of the Stars? I heard this familiar name again. Could this be what we've been searching for? But what exactly is it? And where can we find it?
Before I could ask further, the creature spoke again: "Time is running out, I can only tell you this much. Remember, the Tears of the Stars are the last hope of the universe, you must find it!"
As soon as the words fell, the creature transformed into a streak of light and disappeared into the black hole. The originally pitch-black black hole also began to gradually shrink, and finally disappeared, as if it had never appeared.
"Tears of the Stars..." I gazed at the empty sky, my heart filled with confusion and anxiety. Can we really find it and save the universe?
"Don't worry, Luoluo," Yuxuan held my hand and said firmly, "We will definitely find the Tears of the Stars, repair the black hole, and return to our own world!"
I nodded and squeezed his hand tightly. I knew that no matter what lay ahead, we would face it together! Yet, a lingering shadow hung over my heart. The journey to find the Tears of the Stars was destined to be filled with thorns and challenges. Could we truly succeed?
Yuxuan's words were full of power, and they ignited a glimmer of hope in my heart. Yes, we can definitely find the Tears of the Stars, we definitely can!
However, reality is more cruel than we imagined. Following the guardian's guidance, we began a long search in the vast universe. Along the way, we encountered various dangers and challenges.
Once, we strayed into a meteorite belt, and dense meteorites rained down upon us like a violent storm. The spacecraft jolted violently, the alarms blared deafeningly, and Chenxi and I clutched our seats tightly, our faces pale and sweating. Yuxuan, with his superb piloting skills, weaved through the gaps between the meteorites and finally escaped.
Another time, we encountered a strange cosmic creature. They resembled giant jellyfish floating in space, completely transparent and emitting a faint blue light. Bewitched by their beauty, we let our guard down, and were violently attacked. The jellyfish spewed a highly corrosive liquid, carving holes in the ship's hull. Chenxi and I screamed in terror. Fortunately, the butler activated the defense system in time, preventing the jellyfish from attacking further.
The successive dangers have exhausted us, but we dare not stop because we know that time is running out and the fate of the entire universe rests on our shoulders.
Just when we felt desperate, news came from the ancient family that had been silently supporting us. They used the star maps and prophecies that had been passed down in the family for thousands of years, and finally found the latest clues about the Tears of the Stars!
"According to ancient prophecies, the Tears of the Stars are hidden in a place called the 'Stardust Sea'..." The family representative's voice came through the communicator, with a hint of solemnity and expectation, "The Stardust Sea is a place full of unknowns and dangers, but it is also our last hope."
After Yuxuan finished listening, a determined light flashed in his eyes, "Stardust Sea, no matter what, we must go!"
Chenxi also clenched his fists, his eyes determined, "Yes, for the future of the universe, we can't give up!"
I looked at them, and the flame of hope rekindled in my heart. Yes, Sea of Stars, here we come! Tears of the Stars, we will find you!
However, we didn't know that a bigger crisis was quietly approaching...
The Sea of Stardust, true to its name, is breathtakingly beautiful. Countless nebulae intertwine, like a palette accidentally overturned by God, a riot of color and wonder. Flying through it, the spacecraft feels like being transported to a dreamlike fairytale. However, my mood at the moment is at odds with this beautiful scenery. Anxiety and uneasiness entwine around me like vines, making it almost impossible to breathe.
We have finally found the prophesied location of the Tears of the Stars—a forgotten, ancient planet. This planet is desolate and silent, devoid of any sign of life, only endless yellow sand and broken rocks. Following the guidance of the star map, the Tears of the Stars are hidden in the core of this planet.
Yuxuan piloted the spaceship and carefully landed it on a relatively flat area. We all got off the spaceship and stepped onto this unfamiliar land.
"It feels so depressing here..." Chenxi couldn't help but whisper, and she hugged her arms nervously.
The housekeeper also frowned and looked around anxiously: "Yes, the atmosphere here is very wrong, everyone should be careful!"
We remained vigilant as we advanced towards the planet's core. We encountered no obstacles along the way, which only made me even more uneasy, and a sense of foreboding welled up in my heart.
Finally, we arrived at the core of the planet, where a massive altar stood, ancient and mysterious runes carved into every corner. According to prophecy, the Tears of the Stars should be at the center of the altar.
However, when we stepped onto the altar full of hope, we found it was empty, with only a shocking charred mark.
"No! This is impossible!" Chenxi exclaimed, his face turning pale in an instant.
My heart felt like it was being gripped by an invisible hand, and breathing became difficult. How could this be? Was all our hard work along the way in vain?
Yuxuan's face was also terribly gloomy. He clenched his fists tightly and said nothing. I could feel the suppressed anger and despair in his heart.
"It seems we're a step too late," the butler said in a deep voice, his tone filled with bitterness. "The Tears of the Stars has already been taken by someone else."
"Who is it? Who stole the Tears of the Stars?" Chenxi's voice trembled, full of anger and unwillingness.
"I don't know." The butler shook his head. "But judging from the traces at the scene, the other party must have extremely powerful strength, and..."
The butler didn't finish his words, but the solemnity on his face made me shudder.
"And what?" I couldn't help but ask.
The butler took a deep breath and said slowly, "Moreover, the other party is very likely from a mysterious force that we have never come into contact with..."
As soon as he finished speaking, the entire planet suddenly shook violently, and the nebulae in the sky began to roll violently, as if foreshadowing the arrival of an even greater storm...
