The violent explosion made my eardrums hurt, and the spacecraft shook violently. I grasped the armrests of the seat tightly, feeling like a small boat in a storm, ready to be swallowed by the merciless waves at any time.

"What's going on?" I tried to keep my voice steady and looked at Lu Yuxuan beside me.

His face was gloomy, his brows were furrowed, and his deep eyes were fixed on the control panel in front of him, on which a glaring red alarm light was flashing.

His face was pale and his clothes were disheveled, but he couldn't hide the anxiety between his brows.

"Are you awake?" When he saw me wake up, his tense body finally relaxed, and his eyes showed deep relief and tenderness.

"I'm fine," I shook my head and struggled to sit up. "What's the situation outside?"

Lawrence Lu helped me sit down and said, "The family's fleet has arrived. We are safe for now."

I breathed a sigh of relief and turned to look out the window. I saw several silver-white warships with ancient family emblems surrounding our spaceship. The powerful firepower network forced the space pirates' spaceships to retreat step by step.

"The mastermind behind this?" I looked at him puzzledly. "Who is it?"

"What did you capture us for?" Lu Yuxuan asked coldly.

"I've captured you for the energy source, naturally." Ying sneered, "With it, we can control the entire universe and establish a new order!"

"You are crazy! The power of the energy source is too strong, you can't control it at all!" I exclaimed.

"Then you won't have to worry about it." Ying waved his hand impatiently, "You just need to cooperate and hand over the energy source, and I can consider giving you a quick death."

At this moment, the door of the cell opened again, and Chenxi walked in with a man in a black cloak.

He took us to a wall of the cell, reached out and felt around on the wall for a while, then pressed hard, and a secret door appeared on the wall.

"This is our escape tool." Chenxi pointed at the spaceship and said, "Hurry up and get on board."

We boarded the spaceship, Chenxi started the engine, and the spaceship slowly took off and flew towards the distance.

I looked back and saw that the building where we were imprisoned had turned into a small black dot and disappeared on the horizon.

We finally escaped!
