Myrtle is a ghost with low self-esteem and is very sensitive. Her way of protecting herself is to scream when other people's words hurt her.

She never stayed with other ghosts and always stayed alone in the bathroom, occasionally sneaking into the prefect's bathroom to watch her younger classmates taking a bath.

But more often than not, she would hide at the place where she died and cry.

"Poor Myrtle, look at you. Even as a ghost you're still so unpleasant. That's because you're mean and neurotic, and no one can stand you."

Myrtle was hiding in her cubicle, feeling sorry for herself as usual. Suddenly, she was interrupted by the faint sound of voices coming from outside.

She pricked up her ears out of curiosity, only to hear, "Even if she's a ghost... she's still a girl!" She was stunned. This was the first time someone had treated her with such respect.

In the past, those naughty students who were out at night would just barge in without saying hello and would give her a wide berth.

Then she saw the girl who had spoken walk in. Oh, she was so pretty, such a pretty girl would definitely dislike Myrtle, right?

She heard the black-haired girl calling her name, and rushed out nervously and impatiently.

"I have something to think about...Wow, if I'm not mistaken, did you come out of the toilet?" Pansy was shocked.

"Yes, I can go anywhere there is water." Myrtle had a good impression of the little witch, even though she was very beautiful, like Hong Bei, whom she hated, and they were both from Slytherin.

"Oh my God, I can't believe there would be a girl willing to live in a toilet! Even if it's a ghost!" Pansy couldn't help but complain. Her mysophobia flared up, and even though Myrtle didn't get wet or anything, she couldn't stand it.

"You're a girl, right? There are so many empty and abandoned classrooms, why do you have to live in the toilet? It's so dirty."

"You're not bad looking, but you don't try to dress yourself up. It's not like ghosts can't touch you. Is it really that hard to dress yourself up a bit?"

Pansy couldn't help but sneer subconsciously.

"I'm sorry, Myrtle. Pansy just spoke too quickly and meant no harm..." Hermione was too late to stop her and wanted to apologize to Myrtle, but she found that Myrtle looked strange and didn't seem angry.

Myrtle wasn't angry. A strange blush appeared on her face. Was she, was she, was she concerned about me?

Perhaps it was due to her preconceived impression, but Myrtle rarely ignored the words in Pansy's words that might have touched her sensitive and fragile heart. She only heard Pansy saying that she was pretty and speaking up for her living environment.

She cares about me! She must want to be my friend!

So what everyone saw was Myrtle following out hesitantly.

In the end, it was Pansy who asked Myrtle.

Myrtle glanced at Pansy shyly. In the weird atmosphere, everyone listened to Myrtle's confusing narration.

"You heard a boy's voice, opened the toilet door and saw a pair of big yellow eyes?" Harry pondered. It seems that the one who released the basilisk in the bathroom was the young Voldemort.

The secret room must be in the bathroom! This thought came to everyone's mind.

Then Ron's expression turned strange. Salazar Slytherin was a wizard, wasn't he?

Why is the secret room set up in the women's bathroom?

Ron didn't understand and was shocked.

Obviously, he was not the only one who thought of this problem, but Pansy and Blaise did not show it obviously because of the problems in the academy.

My Salazar, why on earth is this happening? Several people from Slytherin House thought to themselves. This... is difficult to judge. I can't think about it too much... I can't think about it too much...

So why? This place shouldn't have been abandoned back then, right? How did Salazar get in? Could he be... dressed as a woman?!

Quickly shaking her head to get rid of this ridiculous idea, Hermione asked Myrtle, "Can we go in and check it out? We want to find out who really killed you."

Her words were sincere and did not touch Myrtle's sensitive heart. Myrtle felt her sincerity and agreed readily.

They entered the bathroom and looked around. Since it was a secret room, the entrance must be very well hidden. They searched every corner carefully, trying to leave no corner untouched.

"Look here!" Hermione called out to everyone excitedly.

Everyone gathered around and looked at the sink in front of Hermione.

On this faucet, you can see a snake relief that is different from other faucets.

"It looks like this is it," Theodore said. "But it will probably need some method to open it."

"Parseltongue," Harry said suddenly. "Let me try."

"Hiss (open the door)." Harry ignored the different expressions on everyone's faces and said something in a creepy and uncomfortable tone.

The sink suddenly moved, revealing a dark corridor in the middle.

Eight people and one ghost formed a circle, looking curiously into the corridor.

"Nothing?" Ron rested his chin on his hand, puzzled. After a moment, his eyes suddenly lit up, and he seemed eager to try. "Why don't we explore the route first? If we run into danger, we can just use the badge to escape, right?"

Draco had modified the badge while on Dragon Island. Now, not only could it create a shield that would remain unscathed by dragon attacks, but it could also be used to teleport to any badge holder in times of danger. Most importantly, it could communicate!

Ron was very happy. He was depressed for a long time because his Muggle phone couldn't be used when he brought it back to the wizarding world.

"Then I'll stay there." Neville said proactively. He was not interested in the basilisk. The last time he came back from Dragon Island, Draco gave him a lot of plants unique to it, and he has been obsessed with studying them recently.

"That's fine. Neville's up there. If anything happens, notify us. Everyone, stay close and don't get separated. If there's any danger, teleport to Neville." Harry instructed. He walked in front, holding Draco's hand, carefully protecting him behind him.

Draco glanced at Neville behind him, seeming to want to say something but hesitated. In the end, he said nothing.

After walking out of the long, gloomy, seemingly endless corridor, there is a cold corridor full of stone walls.

This corridor is very wide, and even the sound of people's footsteps will be amplified several times, sounding extremely loud.

The ground was wet and Pansy almost fell down accidentally.

Not knowing whether the basilisk was sensitive to light, everyone chose to move forward cautiously.

At the end of the corridor was a dimly lit room, where two rows of stone pillars, carved with coiled serpents, stood. These pillars soared into the sky, supporting a ceiling that melted into the darkness above. The entire room was filled with a layer of mysterious green mist, giving it an eerie feeling.

At the end of the Chamber of Secrets there is a huge statue of Salazar Slytherin. It is as tall as the room itself and is tightly pressed against the dark wall behind it, looking particularly majestic and solemn.

"Then, what's that over there?" Pansy suddenly grabbed Hermione's robe, her fingers turning white from the tension. She didn't dare to speak loudly, and almost whispered it out.

Everyone followed her gaze and saw a huge creature looming in the dark corner. It was coiled there, seemingly still asleep and motionless.

Draco looked at the corner for a while, then looked at the statue, with a strange look on his face.

"No signs of life." He immediately activated his exploratory spell and found nothing here. Instead, behind the statue, he could sense the elemental reaction of a living being. "It should be a snake slough."

Their trust in Draco gave them peace of mind.

A few people bravely stepped forward to check it out. It turned out to be the snake skin of the basilisk.

Draco put it away in his space, and faced with everyone's questioning looks, he said nonchalantly, "It's a trophy. I just happened to have a new idea. I'll give it to you guys when I finish it."

The basilisk's snake skin has many uses and is very rare. He just so happens to have a prototype of a new potion in his mind, so he will try it out when the time comes.

He looked at the statue again, exchanged glances with Harry, and said, "The basilisk should still be asleep. Should we take a photo here as a souvenir? We're here now."

"Take pictures? Aren't Muggle devices not allowed to be used in the wizarding world?" Hermione asked doubtfully.

Then she explained to Pansy and the others what a camera was and what taking a photo was. In simple terms, it was a motionless portrait.

"I modified it so that the camera can be used here. Mine is more convenient and clearer. It's so clear that you can even see the pores on your face."

Pansy was horrified when she heard this. She quickly took out a small mirror from her bag which she always carried with her and asked Hermione to use a fluorescent flash.

She looked at her face carefully, inch by inch. There was no blind spot in her beauty!

After the inspection, she felt relieved, then looked Hermione up and down again, fixed her hair, and applied some lipstick. Then she nodded with satisfaction.

"Okay, boys, take pictures, we are ready." She raised her chin proudly, showing her most beautiful look.

Draco and the others were very obedient to the only two girls. Hearing this, Draco took out his camera and carefully instructed Hermione and Pansy to pose in front of the statue.

The three of them took a lot of photos of each other, and then took two photos of Harry and the others and ended it.

Harry and Ron Brace shrugged helplessly.

The last few people wanted to take a group photo, but thinking of Neville who was still upstairs, they decided to call him down as well, otherwise there would be one less person.

Before Draco could stop him, Pansy tapped the badge.

He and Harry exchanged a glance. (Were they not using their Detect spell?)

(It should be.) Harry shook his head helplessly.

(Then the surprise will turn into shock.) Draco was keenly aware of someone's presence after entering the bathroom.

He quietly used his Detection Technique and, as expected, saw the familiar magic. Of course, perhaps the other party didn't want to hide it either.

Neville arrived quickly, but his expression was a little strange.

"Neville, we're going to take a group photo, and you're the only one missing. What's wrong, Neville? Do you have an eye cramp?" Ron was a little confused.

"Well, I think Mr. Longbottom is fine."
