When the distraught Sirius, Lucius and Dumbledore arrived at the Black mansion, Kreacher sensed the presence of someone who did not belong to the Black family, who suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

"The traitor and his friends entered the noble Black family without permission. Kreacher must defend the honor of Black and drive them out..." Kreacher's chattering stopped when he saw the person coming.

"Oh, it's the noble Malfoy family, Miss Cissy's husband." Kreacher saluted Lucius tremblingly, his eyes full of respect.

"Kreacher, where is Regulus? Take us there quickly." Lucius knew that sometimes he needed to be tough with house elves. "I command you."

"Master Regulus...Master Regulus! No, no, I promised you, Master. I can't tell you, I can't tell you." Kreacher became nervous after hearing Regulus' name. He put his hands tightly on his chest, where the shape of the pendant could be faintly seen through the cloth.

Dumbledore noticed it with his sharp eyes.

"Is that the Horcrux that Regulus gave you to destroy?" Dumbledore asked suddenly.

"No, you! How did you know that? This is a secret known only to Kreacher and Master Regulus!" Kreacher suddenly came to his senses, carefully protecting the pendant on his chest. He looked at the Hogwarts headmaster whom he had ignored.

"Kreacher! Hand over the Horcrux to us, and then take us to find Regulus! Do you want Regulus to sleep at the bottom of that dirty lake full of Inferi for the rest of his life?" Lucius was already beginning to get impatient.

He looked at Sirius, who looked like a dead dog, and Dumbledore, who was completely useless. It would be better for him to come alone.

Kreacher finally calmed down. He didn't want to see his poor Master Regulus lying alone in that cave. He didn't want to see this traitor openly taking possession of the Black family property. It was obviously Master Regulus's, wasn't it?!

He snapped his fingers and teleported with a few people to a cave on an isolated island.

"It's here... Kreacher was brought here. Master Regulus also entered from here..." Kreacher shivered as if he felt cold.

After they had passed a relatively safe section of the journey, they saw an endless black lake with a small island in the middle. Something in the middle was emitting green light.

Something was surging in the lake. Lucius used a light ball to illuminate the area. He was shocked when he looked below the surface.

The lake was very clear, but the reason it looked black to them just now was because the bottom of the lake was densely populated with Yin corpses.

They stood densely packed at the bottom of the shallow lake, looking up at the lake with their dark eyes.

Lucius felt a chill in his heart. This must be the death of at least the same number of people as the entire Hogwarts!

Dumbledore also looked solemn. After some discussion, they decided that Dumbledore and Sirius would take the fake Horcrux from the container and clear Regulus' name.

He and Kreacher would go find Regulus' body.

It was actually quite easy to find. The Inferi, sensing the presence of living beings floating on the surface, swarmed up the lake, one after another, freed by Lucius's holy light. In the end, only one Inferi remained motionless, still standing there, staring blankly at the lake.

Although the face was pale and thin, almost unrecognizable, Lucius had a hunch that it was Regulus.

He controlled his magic to wrap around Regulus and bring him out of the water. Regulus remained silent throughout the process. Apart from his appearance, there was little to no connection between him and the Inferi.

Lucius subconsciously used a baptism of holy light, and the aura of the Inferi on Regulus dissipated. However, after that, Lucius, whose magic power had not yet dissipated, clearly felt the difference between Regulus and other Inferi.

Regulus still had a heartbeat! Even though the heartbeat was so weak that it was almost gone, Lucius was ecstatic.

He didn't dare stop channeling magic, so he simply picked up Regulus. He didn't dare use Apparition either, but instead found a wizard's base, teleported to Wiltshire, and then walked back to Malfoy Manor step by step.

"Sev, take a quick look at Regulus. Can you tell what his condition is?" Lucius summarized it succinctly and quickly asked Snape to take a look. After all, he didn't know much about this area, and even with his powerful magic power, it was a bit strenuous to continuously transfer magic power for several hours.

But he didn't dare cut off the magic power supply. Regulus didn't know what was happening, and his heartbeat was intermittent. What if he cut off the magic power and Regulus couldn't be saved?

Everyone was waiting for Snape's test results.

Snape examined him for a long time, then pondered for a moment. "For some reason, Regulus is indeed still alive, although his vital signs are very weak."

Narcissa heaved a sigh of relief and burst into tears of joy. Kreacher's tears streamed down his cheeks, but he made no sound.

"Will it be okay if I lose my mana supply now?" Lucius asked cautiously. It would be difficult if I needed someone to continuously supply me with mana.

"Your reaction was immediate. If you had been a little later or if you hadn't noticed, Regulus would have been dead," Snape said. "It doesn't matter if you cut off the magic power supply now. Let Narcissa freeze Regulus' body first."

There was no smile on Snape's face, and his seriousness made people realize that something was wrong.

Narcissa quickly followed Snape's instructions and froze Regulus. Then, feeling uneasy, she froze the entire room as well. Everyone went to the study.

"Regulus's condition isn't good. Although he's still alive, his soul and body are incompatible." Snape frowned. This was something the soul stabilizer couldn't fix. "So I had Narcissa freeze him. First, we have to solve the problem with Regulus' body."

Narcissa's heart skipped a beat. "Why? Why are they incompatible?" she asked anxiously.

"After years at the bottom of the cold lake, being soaked in the breath of the Inferi, his body has become very fragile, and his soul has been in a deep sleep, unable to sense the existence of his body." This was the first time Snape encountered such a situation, and he was at a loss as to what to do.

"What can we do to wake Master Regulus up? Kreacher is willing to do anything! Kreacher is willing to find whatever is needed!" Kreacher pleaded with Snape anxiously, tears already covering his wrinkled face.

Merlin, please don't be so cruel and let Kreacher see Master Regulus again.

"One is to give Regulus a new body. As far as I know, there is someone who can do it, but... that person is no longer here..." Snape was silent.

Narcissa and Lucius knew exactly who this person was. It was Draco. It was a secret known only to the three of them. It was a forbidden experiment that would make Draco the target of the entire wizarding world's pursuit...

So they explicitly forbade Draco from conducting any further experiments, and tacitly protected this secret. It wasn't a simple unbreakable oath, but a more powerful and binding, silent contract under the supervision of the world.

"The second is to repair and reconstruct Regulus's battered body. I don't have a clue about this yet, so I can only nurture it for now." Snape hesitated, but still said nothing. "It will probably take a long time for him to wake up."

"I'm glad you woke up, that's all... Thank you very much, Snape. And, I'm sorry for my youthful behavior." Sirius' voice was hoarse. His lowered head made his expression gloomy.

He listened quietly, not as impetuous as usual, and only spoke after confirming that Regulus was awake.

"Disgusting, Harry and Draco are not here, stop pretending that we have a good relationship! Has your brain been eaten by the Inferi?" Snape was about to vomit. What's wrong with this stupid dog? He suddenly made him feel disgusted.

"I never asked what was wrong with this stupid dog just now." Snape raised an eyebrow and looked at Lucius. Although everyone saw Sirius floating in, no one paid attention to him. Instead, everyone's attention was on Regulus.

"Sirius couldn't bear to see me drink the potion, so he offered to drink it instead," Dumbledore said with a smile.

"No need to save his face," Lucius rolled his eyes. "Just find an Inferi and let it drink the wine. This idiot insisted on drinking it just to experience the pain Regulus felt at that time." He would not stop him, and he was too lazy to treat such a fool. Wasn't he just relying on the fact that he wouldn't watch him die?

Drink if you want. Belated confession is just another form of kidnapping and humiliation for the victim, and neither Sev nor Regulus needs it.

If Peter Pettigrew hadn't betrayed them and if they hadn't learned about Regulus, perhaps they would have just been the annoying Death Eaters Sirius mentioned by chance, and perhaps they would have been forgotten in the corner forever.

A belated apology is meaningless.
